1. So it is confirmed that Coach Shouse is staying at Campbell Co. and not moving to Indiana as rumored?  That is great news!

The rumor mill has been running rampant in Cougar Country, but at least we know that Chris Johnson will complete his high school career as a Campbell County Cougar and that Coach Wells and company are getting ready for a return to the playoffs.  The players have been working hard in the offseason and I can't wait for the first scrimmage.

Is it true that Ronnie Lasley has accepted a position on the Cougar staff?  If so, what will he be coaching?

dont know if Ronnie Lasley was hired, will know more tommarow about who will be on the coaching staff?? all I know is me, Wells, Davis, Mays, Shouse, and Ruthuford will be coaching. Will have more details tommarow? thumb

  2. I'm going to bump this topic back to the front lines of the forum.  I'm really not interested in the coaching replacement as much as I'm DUMBFOUNDED BY THE SILENCE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  Where are all the Cougar faithful, CCMAN84 and company.  This time last year Campbell Co. was one of the hottest topics on the boards and now_______________________???????????  Come on guys share a little insight about your team and their prospects for this year, like how is the transfer of Shiverdecker from Jeff Co. is going to change your gameplan or outlook for that game etc. etc. :)  :)  B)

Well a lot has happen since the spring, Coach Wampler has left to be the OC at Oniada. He has done this to help his chances to become a head coach somewhere

down the road. Chris Johnson will be in a cougar uniform this year and will not transfer, so I think CCHS is going to have another good year with the addition of josh howard to the backfield to help take some of pressure off of johnson, and I think coach Shouse is a good replacement for wampler, so I look for the defense

to be discipline and aggrassive. we still have some questions marks but will find

more when practice starts next week. thumb

  3. hey ccman84 haven't seen you since last fb season.  what's going on up in them there hills (lol).  you guys almost lost that dc (my sources had him gone but then politics took its toll and the red devils took the wrong coach).  so are you guys optomistic about this season over last.  any new coaches, how many players and that sort of stuff.

yeah, I am still trying to get over the playoff game, but this is a new season and

it time to trash talk now :P

we were close to losing the DC, but I am glad he still here! he done an

unbeleaveable job with the defense last year. coach wampler would be hard to

    replace.

this year we have a couple of new position coaches they should really help, considering we have about 65 kids out for spring.

I think we have the potential to be just as good as last year, we have a few question mark but I think we will work them out by the end of spring.

    talk to you later

  4. Its that time again!

High school football is getting into full swing again.

What a season those cougars had last year!

5 shutout, 7 victorys, region runner up, hosted a playoff game, had a 1400 yrd rusher, gave up only 183 yrds a game. WOW! who would of thought that the cougars would be that good??? I DID!

enough about last year lets talk about this year.

The cougars have 7 starters returning on offense & 6 starter on defense,

we have some holes to fill but I think we will be just as good as last year.

Campbell county finally has a coaching staff that has been there for more than

3 years, with a lot to work with! the star Tailback will return and should have a better season than last year. the Qb will be a junior and will be better he is about 6'1 160lbs he threw for 800 yrds last year and had 5 rushing TDs and 6 TDs passing with only 2 INT not bad for a soph!

The D will be rebuilding a little, I think they will be fine Coach Wampler is a very good coach he will have something in place by time spring is over!

Can the Cougars build on last year??? Only time will tell! GO COUGARS!

lets prove last year was no a fluke. thumb

  5. buddy i know more about history than you will ever know.  i would never want to be associated with a bunch of losers such as the confederates...or the cougars.  by they way, CC was lucky to play sevier co without their stud back, otherwise it would have been much different.  also, how in the world were you guys trailing to SH, they are terrible.  and peeblee, you stupidity amuses me at times.  your statement about having to be dumb before you can be dumber is retarded.  what are you talking about.  if you are smart and become less smart, then you are in essence becoming dumber.  by the way, i am much smarter than all you losers, so dont worry about me.

Zac Pate did play he only had 12 carries for 40 yards against us, he was the one we tackled for the safety! so get off these kids,

  6. I'm obligated this Friday night to a friend, but if you guys move on to round 2 I will make it a point to be there.  The TFCA clinic is the TN Football Coaches Assoc. clinic and they have a web site, TFCA.com I think to find out more.

    825413985

think you! I will check it out, hope we make it that far!

    talk to later possumcop~ thumb

  7. As far as the game this week, just keep on doing what you have been doing on defense and hope the offense can muster the points you need.  Especially keep the Admirals out of field goal range, I understand they have a real good kicker.

Are you guys planning to go to the TFCA clinic in the 'boro during the Dec. championships???????????

    825413975

i dont know, I havent heard any thing yet about any clinic. thumb

  8. If you are like me football makes up 95% of your coacht interest and the talk doesn't stop when the season is over.  There is lots of stuff about off-season conditioning, weight training, coaching clinics, etc. that you could not respond to with out it.

    825413964

I agree! I like to keep up with all that, I dont know what to do when the season is over!

just hope we can win this week and keep it going for another week. thumb

  9. You need to shell out the $12 to join the PLUS group. the E-mail and personal message features are worth the price as well as the fact that only Plus members can post on the football site during the off season................. thumb

    825413938

where do you sign up at?

  10. Seriously, how can you be a 5A team, win seven games, five of them shutouts and be as bad as some people are saying.  Most of the nay sayers are probably from teams they have beaten or close/jealous neighbors.  You have to remember that Campbell Co. has always been a notch in the gun for many teams that have lost to them this season.  Most of what you have read is a disgruntled lack of respect.  BTW I am not a CC faithful, just an observor who has been in the same position as they are now in. thumb

    825413871

    my words exactly! thumb

  11. I did pick up a station that had a "scores and stats" type show and they had a pretty good "top story" report on it though.  Can't remember the station though.

    825392047

are you coming to the DB game???
