P.S. The Sullivan South and D.B. game this thursday should give you some more insight about your region strength down the road don't you think??????
sorry possumcop! I dont want this topic to fall off, so I will throw some comments out there....
I went to the Clinton/Bell county game and I wasn't impressed with Clinton and there inability to stop the run, they gave up over 300 yards rushing... dont get me wrong Bell county is a very good team, I think they are ranked 8 in the state of KY,so I guess Clinton was outmatch. I look for them to be tough when we play, well! at least I hope! Clinton did have some good althetes #5, #10,#1 looked like playmakers.
Scott county on the other hand I was not able to see their game, I only know that they beat a very BAD! jellico..Its not nothing to brag about but I can remember when we would brag when we beat a team like jellico or scott co and couldnt beat anybody else! I know scott has some good running backs but I dont think any of them will rush for 250 yds against us like they did against jellico!
And for Morristown East.....I think they expect they can walk over us because we are Campbell county and have been doormats for many years. but I got news for them this is a well coached and well prepared football team, We can set here and predict scores all day long...but there is a reason why you play the game! thumb

Campbell co scrimmaged Sullivan south today, It was a good scrimmage both teams were very physical! Sullivan won 13-7 we had 5 turnovers in the contest.
The score does not indicate how the game was played it was back and forth early
after the cougars got there legs strectch out then the game was on the cougars D
stepped and shut down South, The scrimmage was game simulated the went down and distance and goalline at the end............
not making excuses South was really good they are big and strong, and put it on us early..
Chris Johnson was a highlight film all by hiself he was breaking tackles and running to daylight. The offense was moving the ball well but had trouble hanging on to the football.
Defense struggled early until halfway through the scrimmage and then started to dominate....we look as good as the D we had last year!

Does Campbell Co. play on week 0 or will they be at Jellico and other schools to scout the competition for the first couple of weeks??????????????
no we dont play till week 1, We might go to Jellico to see scott county!!

I think we have 1 scrimmage schedule but I am not sure when or where!
I heard something about sullavin south but not sure.........I could be wrong.
But I cant wait till Aug 27.........I am ready for some football! thumb

I heard that Clinton beat Scott Co. on Friday. Scores don't always tell the story, do you have any info or opinions about the scrimmage cdragonz123 or CCMan84?
I dont know much about Clinton except for last years film, The only thing i know is that have an althete in the Dye kid, I the big is big... I hope the score is decieving.
for scott co I heard they had a good tailback and he plays DE! so I'd say he is fast off the ball....
but the Dye is a playmaker.

I am trying to keep up with all the scrimmages this week...there's alot lot going on.
On the flip side practice is going good we got about 50 kids out which isn't bad concidering we had 30 last year.
We get one more scrimmage before season starts, I have not Idea who its going to be if we even scrimmage. We still have a lot of work to do! Like I said our kids work really hard to try and make this the year! thumb

Hensley is a senior. And the JV teams scrimmaged for 1 quarter and the Clinton JV won 7-0. I am very excited about even this scrimmage win. Its been since about the 3rd game of 2 seasons ago since weve even had a win.
I heard you guys played well...I heard the Dye kid is a very good atlhete. How did scott look offensively????????

The game was 34-20 w/ the score alot closer than the game actually was. One guy scored 3 TD's for Scott w/ over a 50 yard run each time. Scott keep a good drive going they would rely on the big play. 1st play of the game Jonathan Dye picked off a pass and took it in for a score along w/ throwing a couple TD passes and returning a kick off for a TD. The defense played well w/ they coaches going w/ some different looks. The team leader in tackles was not playing and 6'6 295 lb Eric Hensley didnt go in but a couple of series in the 4th quarter so their would be no risk of injury. And all i can say playa69 is WELL SEE. Tonight i was made a believer by Coach Shattuck, he is the real deal coach and has every player on the team wanting to do their part to win even if it means they have to play their hardest in practice on the scout team to make the starters better.

they had a big line but they were a little slow off the ball
there punter and punt team was really good WB didnt block a punt all night
their RB had some good runs
and their WR werent bad
but it was pretty much complete domnation by WB
Hicks had some MONSTER hits
WB def stepped it up big time I think SD only got into the redzone once
WB off played a great game
lucas had some good plays and throws and even though B.Walker wasnt playin the other RB did a great job espically Franklin
and i think Meadows was really pleased with his team

WB opened (sp) up a HUGE can of whoop #### on SD 60 to nill
i saw a brand new team out there today they didnt have such a great 2 days of pratice this week but there was a lot of leadership on that feild good job guys
also i gotta give it up to the WB freshman espically T.J. he was a beast runnin over everyone
does south doyle have anything at all????
WB is a great team this year, did south doyle do anything???

I have been a cougar fan since 92, it been a tough 12 years following, with all the losing! I just hope it stops this year, as you should know campbell co has never won 5 games and only won 4 games 3 times....so we have a tough hill to climb but for once there is a little hope this year.... thumb
