Thanks JD for catching my mistake!!
I forgot that we had not missed an XP all year. (not even against Murvil A&S.)
Make that 49-24.
Go Alcoee.
Amen.
LOVE it!!!!!!!!

Well, I will go ahead and point out the obvious here.
The biggest downfall of a "record setting" offense, is that CRB was too busy putting up big numbers to get some of the younger kids a lot of game experience in 2012.
It is glaring now.
I expect CAKe's best Friday, but it will not be enough.
Alcoa 48, CAKe 24.
Wow!!!!!

When you are playing a sport(say volleyball) then you can't practice for another sport(say basketball) until the season you are currently playing is complete
I have seen this "rule" selectively enforced in the past.
-
Height is a MAJOR factor when it comes to recruiting, trust me, I have seen it first hand.
-
Which means Polk is the furthest east. The reason Tyner and York switch is the time zones and Tyner's location to the interstate to go to Knoxville.
I made an error when I mentioned Polk, my intention was Tyner.
-
Longitude: specifies the east-west position of a point on the Earth's surface
Grundy -85.745
Tyner -85.154
York -84.938
Polk -84.652
-
No its not. York is further than Tyner. However, Tyner is in the Eastern Time Zone while York is in Central. So it makes more sense.
Thanks....The map is very confusing
-
Isn't York futher east than TYNER???

If you can't find the live stream over the internet to watch the game, you may be able to pick up 100.3FM on your radio for the CAK broadcast team. Its a very strong station and has a radius of approximately 100 miles from Knoxville. I know the audio broadcast is also streamed on wnoxfm.com. For those with smartphones you can get a free app like Tune In Radio and go to Knoxville stations and find 100.3FM and listen to the game over your phone.
I was able to get signal just outside Lexington, Ky.

True
No question. Never-the-less, IMO, they will be. Do you disagree?
The linemen MUST go both ways Thursday night! I hope they are conditioned well enough to be effective late in the game.
-
Playing both ways on the line against Alcoa is NOTHING like playing both ways against the likes of Stone or Scott.

Goliath was a much much larger man than David, and much older as well. LaVergne is certainly much much larger than CAK and their football program is much older than CAK's. David did utilize an aerial attack with his sling shot to take down Goliath, and CAK will most certainly use an aerial weapon against LaVergne. Based on those selective factoids...Yes, this qualifies as David vs. Goliath. We can only hope for the same result.
Ohhhh my gosh!!!! FBD wants CAK to kill LaVergne!!!!!

#1 Charlie High (Sr.) - CAK 2,838 passing yards through 8 games, which is the 6th highest total in the country. 33 TD's, 77% accuracy. Team is undefeated, defending state champs, and tied at the top of the AP poll in 3A.
#2 Kenton Baker (Jr.) - Giles County 851 yards recieving in 8 games, 15 TD's with a long of 81 yards. Team is undefeated and #1 in the AP poll for 4A.
Go ahead and write it down.....Charlie High CAK!
-
I'm sure plenty of CAK alumni will be on hand, I have also heard rumors that current NCAA players will be "roaming the sidelines."

Hmmmm...I'm trying to remember the Coach's name from Webb that spoke to me about Financial Aid.

I guess these Polls are "nice", but in the end, it all comes down to who raises the trophy!!!!
-
Has Elizabethton lost every game they have played this year? If so, how are they getting votes?
-
JD- BC and I went to squat in your seats because we knew you were not going to be there...some clowns were already camped there and wouldn't give them up even though we said that you told us to go there!! (little white lie)
Funny.
Well, after being "chased away" from our area and disrepsected last year we have not been back.
-
To state the obvious, a weak defense makes this loss (Smith) even bigger since they need to be playing half the offense both ways. A great combo would be this year's offense and two years ago defense but --- that's just the what if game. Gotta play the rest of them with what we've got. Chance for some guys to step up.
Just curious,,,,What did you like about the defense from 2 years ago????
-
Shouldn have been playin with that score
What was the score when Smith was injured??

With all due respect, there are not NEARLY as many East TN teams who would play CAK as you think. Fulton was on the schedule last year (or the year before) and backed out. Coach Bradley had to call something in the range of 70-80 teams to find a replacement opponent. We already have several higher division opponents on the schedule, such as Anderson County (5A), Gibbs (4A), Lavergne (6A)(had to agree to a two-year away/away deal with them to get them on the schedule, so we already have one three-hour from home game). I can understand why some higher division schools would be reluctant to play CAK--we don't bring a huge crowd, if you're a 5 or 6A team and beat a 3A team, everybody says "you're supposed to beat them," and if you lose to a 3A school, it hurts your overall record for purposes of playoff seeding. But if you're sure the teams you listed would agree to play us, Coach Bradley can enlist your help next time he needs to fill up his schedule and you can talk one of those teams into adding CAK.
The next "go around" for scheduling Teams will be even more difficult, just my opinion. Based on the record setting performances last year and what we saw last week, I don't see too many coaches even considering adding CAK to their schedule.

This Alcoa fan doesn't anticipate a walk in the park. I believe, as others, the size, power and numbers will be hard for Webb to overcome, but these boys don't take anything for granted.
On another note, many Alcoa fans will be wearing pink to honor the William Blount student that died this week on her way home from school. Most will be wearing Alcoa "pink out" t-shirts from a previous season. Webb, Maryville and Cleveland fans are welcome to participate.
This is GREAT!!!!

I'm just asking because I wasn't there...It's my understanding that the OR defense could not stop the CAK offense, I'm confused.
2013 CAK at ALCOA
