Why my head still rings from those head butts .... I was a receiver so I didnt have to getem as often as some of those linemen .... boy was he intimidating back then though ... I have to say he has mellowed a bit ... you could get away with alot more back then as far as getting physical with the players as you do now .... nobody ever got hurt but coaches were able to grab and jerk and kick .. things like that .. dont get me wrong it was never anything that you got hurt from .... some of those paddlings from the coaches now those hurt .... you better not get caught leaving school for lunch cause Coach Sharp or Coach B would take care of it 6th period ... with a paddle that had holes in it ... boy I miss those days !!! NO I DONT !!!! brings back good memories ... we palyed for State Championship my senior year in 74 ... went 12-1 ... lost in finals in 3A which was back then the largest class .... anyway glad Coach B was back out there ..I saw him use his crutches a couple times on the tails of a couple of lineman .. just a couple of taps just to let them know he was there ..... hope he didnt over do it today ...

Yes the leg still looks pretty bad ... I think he still needs the IV antibiotics ... and they sure miss him out there .. his lineman have had it made this Aug .. just aint the same unless you hear him out there quitelt correcting his lineman ... when I played for him I was scared to death of him .... anyway I sat with him Thursday and Friday at the scrimmages and he is eager to correct some things .... Fulton looked real tired at Fridays scrimmage .. they didnt get a break with the 5 teams ..they played consecutive sessions .. plus add to the fact that they had 2 scrimmages Thursday .. the boys were wore out ... dont get me wrong MW and Farragut looked more physical then Fulton ... I know also we are missing a couple of starters on defense and a couple on Offense ... when they get back and the guys get their legs back then I think they will improve ... passing game needs work with Soph but if they can get running game going then maybe they can get some play action passing going .... not time to panic yet .. just hope Coach B gets back out to round that OL in shape .......

Saw some of the 5 way scrimmage @ South Doyle .. with Farragut, Morristown West, Fulton, Karns and South Doyle ... looked as though Morristown West was a bit more physical than the rest ... them and Farragut played pretty close .. Fulton played tough but talking to some of their folks they had at least 5 starters out with injuries including thier 2 best players .. plus they have had 3 scrimmages in two days and looked leg weary but alot of athletes .. didnt get to see much of Karns or South doyle .. wated Fulton/Farragut and Fulton/MW ans some of MW/Farragut .. MW has some big RB's that looked good .. Farragut has a tough team it looks like .... Fulton's lookignto break in a Soph QB ..alot of work to do in passing game ... they miss the QB from last year that got suspeneded ... anyway some of what I saw ... anybody else there care to elaborate ????

Kwalker4 ..Im sorry for starting something here ..I was just concerned and wanted to let you know I was praying for your Dad .... sure didnt mean to raise a rucus over it .. but I tell you your Dad helped me grow up as a person in high school and I will never forget that ... he and Coach Sharp were very influential in my life ... hope he gets back soon ... he needs to crack the whip on some of them young lineman ... and before someone gets the wrong idea about him using a whip .. i was just using that saying as being vocal and using the tough LOVE he uses .... see at the games ....

I had planned on going by to see him today .. I stopped at practice and talked to your brother and he told me the room .... great news that he is going home ... I know he will be chomping at the bit to get back ........

Well how about that .... I spent alot of time at your guys house when I was in school .. your mom and dad treated us all like their own ... I never would have guessed that .... I wont say why on this board .... GO FALCONS !!!!

no i cant .. Jim Mclain was head coach , Mike Lasorsa was my position coach, Coach Black was there, Dickey Sharp (misshim) and Skipper Bean .. Dave Pollard helped with Football too ... my brother played WR when he was there ... Buck and My brother were good friends in High School and now too .. the Falcons are young and look to have some promising Soph and Jr's .......

KWALKER ... no IM asking from a FULTON standpoint ... Im a FALCON thru and thru ..my DAD played football at FULTON in early 50's and I played there in 72 - 75 and my brother played in 80 -82 ... so no Im asking about the FALCONS .. I agree I watched Alcoa and Powells scrimmages and have to admitt out OL needs some work ..hopefully Coach Black can pull them together ... I only wish they could get Antonio Hamilton on that OL ... good talking to a Falcon .. take care !! GO FALCONS !!!!!

Come on AEROADRUNNER get the name right its TADVOLS not THAD ... what Im talking about is Fulton will beat AE's in 2005 and 2006 .... Fulton is very young and will be talented ..... some schools dont start till Friday week and scrimmaged this week ... I was just asking if anyone had any info on the scrimmage dude .... see ya BEEP BEEP !!!!

Well excuse me beep beep ..... kinda cocky aint ya ... keep on being that way and you will get ti handed to ya again this year ... one thing is for sure this is the year to get Fulton cause the next two 2005 and 2006 .. it aint gonna happen for sure .

Anybody hear how scrimmage between Falcons and Bulldogs went ??? I think they were supposed to scrimmage Tuesday at 5 pm at bearden ...... THANKS
