I agree about Katriece. I know they signed some guards last year, and I didn't pay close attention to their recruiting needs. Let's lighten-up on Coach Moore. Maybe their recruiting needs changed as the season progressed, and they did win the Southern Conference Championship! I'll give him the benefit of the doubt on this one, but I think their needs to be better attention paid to one's backyard.
No word from the Katie, Katie, and Katelyn. We'll see!
Go to gomocs.com and look at the Lady Mocs roster. Every player on it is from somewhere within 2-3 hours of Chattanooga. Plus if you were a college coach, would you rather get an exceptional player that they have probably been watching for a few years or one that has one great game at the end of the year? UTC needs more post players this year instead of 3 point shooters.

The District 5 championship game is on Thursday this year with the District 6 championship game on Friday. They alternate the days each year so that the teams can scout each other for the region tournament.

According to Grace's website, the game will be played on Saturday the 17th. If Grace is able to get lights on their field before then, the game will be changed to Friday night the 16th.

Does anyone know when the games at Sale Creek will be played next week? None of the brackets I have seen have the times and dates listed.

Grace played McMinn Central Tuesday and won 5-0. On Thursday, they played Sweetwater and won 2-0, making them the 5 A/AA District Champions.
Their next game will be against District 6 A/AA Runner-Up, Hixson in the Region 3 Semifinals. Grace will be the host Tuesday at 7:00.

O.K. ..... Here is my stupid question of the day: Are we Talking about Grace Christian Academy of Knoxville, or Grace Babtist Academy of Chattanooga, the one from baskettball. If it is GBA, there won't be a rivalry 'cause we (Unaka) play the one from Knoxville...... Whoever it is, congrats!!!!!! thumb
We are talking Grace Baptist Academy of Chattanooga, who were the State Runner-Ups in Basketball last year.

The Grace-David Brainerd Game starts at 1:00 Saturday
There will be carnival style events before the game. This will include a dunking tank, tailgating, etc...

If you were ever around Coach Moore, you would realize that everything you are saying is not true. We have gone on road trips with the team and have had a few friends on the team. All of the players comment on how much fun they have on the basketball team. When they went to Colorado a couple of years ago, he took them skiing even though there was a risk that they could get hurt. He said he wanted to make sure they had fun. On the court, you can't tell much about a person, but when you are around them off the court, you will notice that he is a really great person.
