WCYB does not do playoff games, so unless PackerVision is coming to the 'Boro... I doubt this will be on TV.

Good luck with this. Needs some work. I tried to do it but gave up because I got sick and darn tired of the Call of Duty pop-up add on EVERY game selection.

You sound like a broken record Mavs in Flight.....how many years in a row have you said the exact same thing just to be let down again?
Hey I'll make you a deal, when the good lord calls you home one day we will send the AC football team to Washington to be your pallbearer's so they can let you down one last time
PS- Changing the name from Lake City to Rocky Top in 2013 to try to attract more tourism has always been funny to me. (Everyone knows the Osborne Brothers sure weren't singing about that area ) I still call it Lake City.
Same here, and always will

But, they're sure she had COVID and now she's in the hospital right?
I'm not going to get into an argument over semantics. I have much better things to do with my time. But to answer your questions yes....she had Covid and yes...she's now in the hospital.

There's a Knox County soccer player hospitalized. It's all over social media.
The most recent update was they were UNSURE what caused her hospitalization, but think it could be a bounce back infection from when she had Covid a couple of weeks ago. So they have been treating her for Multisystem inflammatory syndrome in children (MIS-C). She was placed on a ventilator for a day or so, but has since been removed. Obviously, prayers go to this family!!!!

Not expendable to me,you took it all wrong. Ever think there are higher ups who see many of us as expendable. My views are completely oppisite.
Good deal!! And yeah....I took your comment wrong. When I first read it, it shocked me and I was unable to think about it from another angle. And yes....I agree 100% with you that there are higher-ups that view many of us as "expendable". Benghazi ring a bell???

Pay attention to who its killing and you might be able to see the big picture, its the expendables. Prisons ,nursing homes, Government paid housing. May end up making money in the big run. Save lots on health care, funded housing and welfare in general , tax paid prisons. Some times the Hand is quicker than the eye. This is just ,ONE BIG STUPID MESS.
Wow!! I had to re-read this several times to make sure you said what you said.
To call someone "expendable" because of their current situation is extremely judgemental.
What you may consider an "expendable" person could be a grandmother, or a father, etc. to someone else.
Wow man.....can't believe you went there!!!

The thing is - with the Dead Period remaining - IF there are any kids on teams that should contract the virus, the dead period will give everyone a two week break to hopefully let everything calm down, reduce the spread, and allow the whole team to start / resume activity starting July 6th. Now, I know that is all under the assumption that kids and adults will do what they are supposed to and practice social distancing, etc

Motion fails. Dead period stays in place

When ever your system had graduation date and end of school, you should be good to go. I would like to think TSSAA would look into some days in June for full pad workouts, i.e., M-W-F's for 2-3 weeks, prior to dead period that would take the place of spring practice.
Disagree. Most of these kids haven't been doing any type of structured workouts since school has been out. At most, may schools will get four weeks of conditioning / lifting before dead period begins. I think bringing these kids in and having them go full pads for 2-3 weeks would be recipe for injuries galore. My recommendation would be to use that time wisely and get the kids back in shape so that they can hit the ground running after dead period.
Besides.....there are several teams that don't have spring ball and are quite successful.

Update from the News Sentinel.
From what I understand grades are now "frozen" and attendance "can be counted while schools are closed because of online learning, but recording unexcused absences or reporting students for truancy is not allowed."
I'm sure you all can read between the lines here.
I said the same thing to my wife last night. Hate it for the kids.

There are a select few leaders that need criticism right now... Pelosi and "the crew" have extended the negotiations by days already. A bipartisan agreement was all but approved when Pelosi stepped forward with "conditions" such as reduction of carbon footprints, extending travel visas, and an entirely new fiscal system run by the federal government that could endanger the privately run banking system. The socialist left wants to issue cards to each person connected to a government account, to be replenished periodically. She then accuses President Trump's package of leaning more toward business than workers, when workers will not have employment if their jobs aren't waiting for them when this is over. The socialists want to implement their visions of a government controlled and funded society, and are seizing this opportunity to twist the arm of the President to wedge their foot in the door.
Our school system is a microcosm of society... older teachers, administrators, custodial staff, maintenance, busing, and delivery personnel would be at risk, as well as students with chronic conditions themselves. The main risk in my opinion, would be the spread of the virus by students into their homes and to their families. With recommendations of restricted gatherings and social distancing from the CDC and WHO, should we consider gathering hundreds of potential carriers together every day, then dispersing them back into their homes each evening?
Check out this site. It should answer your question

Thank you for the advice, o wise one. After reading your comment I immediately sought out a safe space. There were others there that I could wail with as we gnashed our teeth while wearing our tinfoil hats. Due to the social distancing rule we couldn't do the group hug thingy, though. I finally drifted off to sleep as some of the others were crying for their mommies.
Ya know....if that's the approach you wish to take, then that is certainly within your rights. But, I truly wish you and your family the best during these unprecedented times.

Greatly appreciate you for doing your part to help stop the spread and transmission of the coronavirus. I mean....after all.....a game is MUCH more important than some pandemic currently affecting the world!! Maybe, after the games are over, we can all pack into a local bar like sardines to celebrate our self importance!!!!

More schools are getting ready to shut down. Look for TSSAA to shut down spring sports tomorrow. Better play doubleheaders today.
Soooo.....is this something you are just speculating about, or have actual knowledge? Reason why I say this is because their statement the other day saying it was individual schools/districts decision was one of the biggest BS / not my problem / pass the buck things I can recall ever seeing them do.

Blount Co still allowing athletics?

And to that you can add... the CDC issued a statement earlier today stating that similar actions (school closures, gathering bans... particularly in the early stages) had no effect in restricting the spread. Keep in mind that their statement didn't rely on predictions, but a study of communities who have already implemented these measures without success.
But now the CDC has issued a statement that recommends AGAINST gatherings of people 50 or more. It sucks for the kids....but it's a GAME. There's more important things in life than a darn GAME. And just FYI...I have worked in HS athletics for over 35 years...I "get it". But I also understand the bigger picture.
-
I don't think it will affect regular season football. I think as a whole, the over-reaction/hysteria will have passed, common sense will have prevailed and hopefully a cure/treatment will be in place. Now for the spring sports that just started, and spring football...that's the question that's on my mind right now.
