  1. CCS beat Grundy 8-0.

with one district game left the standings are:

    SC 6-2

    ND 4-3

    CCS 3-4

    GC 3-4

    BC 2-5

the four and five seed will have to play a play in game those teams will be Bledsoe and whoever loses the CCS Grundy County game. What players seem to have been the best so far in the district?

  2. I mean no offense by this, but I'd hate to think we don't finish at least somewhere in the middle of that pack? Brainerd? Howard? I mean I know we're young and all but c'mon fellas! But seriously.....I'm assuming you mean District 6. How bout 7? I only got to see Sequatchie play. I like the new coach at Bledsoe, seems like a good guy and wants to win. Grundy I don't have a clue and it sounds like CCS played well. Anybody see those guys?

Saw sequatchie play they looked solid. their third baseman impressed me along with their pitching staff. looks like they will be solid as always. i also saw hixson play CCS. CCS beat Hixson surprisingly. Hixson couldn't touch their pitcher philip something. heard Grundy is doing well never saw them play though.

  3. Rose should have a good year at Grace. Where did all the David Brainerd players end up?

I saw one pitcher from grace last year that threw pretty hard. looked like the ace and was pretty tall is he still there? david brainerd kids went to Ooltewah and East Hamilton

  4. PITCHERS: ooltewah-garret baugh, Red Bank-andy christopher, travis ?, burnette kid, Hixson-zach mccarter, adam knudtson, CCS-samuel davenport, East Ridge- jerrel quarles...... just to name a few around chattanooga

Zach Mccarter is going to have a good season i'm going to call. Samuel Davenport was injured last i heard but should still be a good pitcher with a good #2 behind him

  5. It used to higher seeds hosted until the final 4 were reached and then proceed to host site.

Now, I think the entire tournament is at the host site. I might be wrong though.

if you didn't finish in first play on your side of the district (hixson/marion) then you have to play a game at your field/opponents field so there will be that one play in game for the lower ranked teams

  6. well, it seems that marion has it all rapped up on the county side and hixson has pretty much won the city side.... any thoughts on how the district tournament will go????????

i actually don't think hixson will win i'm calling a ccs upset after watching them play once or twice. Marion i'm guessing should win the county side... sequatchie won't give up and the game will be pretty intense but Marion will win and win the tournament as well

  7. Boyd Buchanan is looking pretty hot this year, what do yall think?

Well "Bucbaseball" i'm guessing either you play for them or are a big fan i saw the ccs vs boyd game and they showed me they could hit really well a couple errors in the field though

they're pretty decent and boyd is a good school from what i hear so i'll be pulling for them and hoping for the best!

  8. well ccs and hixson split and hixson beat ND 5-4 then 10-5 in the same night.... it looks like a good match up between ccs and hixson for the city side

I think whoever gets the bye between ccs and hixson will win. The pitching is going to be a key.

  9. without mcwilliams it def hurts SD. he is one of the top pitchers in the area. but i think that SD swings the bats a little better with stephens and bair, plus SD has a better defense. they always say that good pitching beats good hitting all the time, so it looks like now RB may have the upper hand. come tourney time it could be different.

and i dont know the stott and lawson kids mentioned above, but what about christopher? does he not throw anymore?

He's throwing and when he does it's pretty hard. He's really explosive and I'm not surprised if he touched 90 in any of his outtings

  10. It seems like the topic of 6 AA baseball turned into a topic about Marion and Seq. What about the other teams in the city? How's Hixson, CCS, and Notre Dame doing? they're all pretty good competitors (Maybe not Notre Dame this year) but what are Hixson and CCS up to?

  11. We had several football players with triangle gashes the size of a nickel during the Knox Halls football game this past year. l suspect the cause was the buckle on a chin strap being pried outward. It could have just been an unfortunate accident, but many scars were left behind. Anybody else with the same problem?

  12. good, it will get lil punks like you off here and quit talking us up in the preseason or anytime of the year

I'll have to say my experience with East Ridge has been quite good. They are a friendly bunch of guys who play hard and have good attitudes before, during and after the game. They compliment good play on either team. This perspective is from an opposing team, but I feel they deserve credit for good sportsmanship.

Please repeat in at least a readable sentence fragment. I had something else I had to do...many of you don't believe it, but I do also have a life away from the internet sports world. CB.com rankings will come out tonight after the Baylor/McCallie game.

One of the funniest comebacks ever on CoachT. Too much opportunity to really nail an illiterate comment. No attempt to speak even speek respectable red neck. Even Grad giving this incoherent gibberish "fragment" status is overly generous.

  14. Glad RB won, but it still humors me to see hiway58's posts.  Silts was unhittable...since when?  And Fabry and Cofer were the hitting stars?  Since when?  All the games I've watched it's been others who have hit.  You never give anyone else any credit.

True enough. Beau Geren drove in least one of those runs. The night before Jon Coppinger had a big night at bat. I did not see the whole game tonight so in addition to Beau I do not know who hit well, but I assume with 4 at bats for the top few hitters there were plenty of other contributors. Congratulations to both teams with Soddy taking a big win the night before.

  15. i gave up on ur crap polls a long time ago..i could care less if u ranked us 100...hey..u r more than welcome to come watch a soon to be state championship team in 1a since ur owls got put out first round  :D  thumb

boyd buc is good dont get me wrong. But if they played anyone tough week in and week maybe the rankings would be higher. Have fun putting 50 on Whitwell.
