  1. No it was not our defense, It was because Oliver Springs did not execute. Right FBEmoronus.

That's good 1 bridge , lmaoooooooooooooooooooooooooooa . A fitting name to I might add . Like 4A in there region has any better competition . you going to Bread OF heavem this week before we go to CAK ?Let me know , I'll meet ya there .

  2. This will be Alcoa 1st toughest region game plus it's away from home . CAK had an off week last week and may get some players back for this game but I'll go out on a limb and predict another shutout for the defense , 35 to 0 . What's ev1 esles predictions ?

  3.

    <- Catback

looks like u got alot of time at work to play bridge , lmaooooooooooooooooooooo . BTW do u need help in broadcast booth Fri. night ? I'll be there , might be a safe place to be , roflmaoooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo .

  4. I just interested in taking a poll on here , who all think that Heritage and William Blount should put Alcoa back on their schedule speak up . I don't know if ev1 saw article in Daily Times or not but the new AD at Alcoa thinks Alcoa should drop these 2 schools in every sport if they won't play us in football , I agree . In my eyes this is a win win situation for ev1 in Blount county if thses games happen . No one has to travel for 2 games , the gates are good and with the price of gas these days everyone comes out ahead . Forget the size of schools and a chance of losing to a smaller school , think of the fans and the gate money for these 2 games . Plus it would reinstate a true blount county champion in football no matter who wins it . I'm just interested who all agrees or disagrees .

  5. I was at the Alcoa BTW game on Fri. and walked around by the BTW bench. Those were the best behaved kids I seen in a while , encouraging each other even getting beat like they were . From what I saw , they were great sportsmen and I commend them for that . After traveling that far for a game and still hang in there for all 4 quarters then have to get back on the bus and travel back to Memphis . I hope your football program gets back on track and good luck to you the rest of the season .

  6. Alcoa is rolling. Can the run the table?

They probably will run the table now , they looked awful strong last night . If I had to guess it will be probabaly Alcoa and Loudon playing for the region title , but like I said just a guess . BTW , hope Booker T had a safe drive home last night , that's an awful long drive back to Memphis .

  7. Keep in mind , just a rumor , But I heard Mr. Hord , the blount county superintendent of schools , told William Blount and Heritage that Alcoa would be put back on their schedules and told both schools to do what they had to do to make it happen he didn't care . Like I said just a rumor , but it sure would mean big gates for ev1 and less travel . I sure hope it happens .

  8. I've been watching all the posts all week and for the most part all have been fair , but 1 just keeps coming to mind that I can't get over . FBE talking about 2A being weak and that's why Alcoa has been winning the gold ball . Is it Alcoa's fault they are in 2A ? They only have 450 in the whole school . As far as 2A being weak , I don't think that's a fair accessment . Look at Goodpasture last week , they beat a 5A team , RAVENWOOD, that won it all a few yrs bk and have been in the playoffs every yr. They're some really good 2A teams all over the state . Alcoa use to play 2 5A teams every yr. but those teams dropped them from their schedule . But that's all old news and we have moved forward . This game still is a gr8 rilvery game but does it mean anything to either team in the grand scheme of things ? NO. Sure , bringing the streak to an end would be good but if Alcoa loses and still get the gold ball it's worth it . You get better playing good teams and lets you know how you stand against the best , it also prepares you for post season and hopefully the BIG game at the boro . I guess what I'm saying is these are 2 4 in a row state champions playing what should be a gr8 game tonight and should be left at that . The last 4 yrs I know several Maryville ppl go watch Alcoa play on Fri. night at the boro and alot of Alcoa ppl stay to watch Maryville play and each cheers for the other . That's the way it should be .

  9. Well , next week's game will tell who's the leader in Region 2 . I know Alcoa will be ready to end all doubt . This one could get ugly early , maybe even mercy rule , . I see another 49 to maybe 7 score , what's everyones thoughts ?

  10. I know there is still a long way to go before the playoff picture is complete , I anxious to see how this new playoff thing goes . Alot of teams have already had region games and a few are getting started this week . I'm seeing the CAK / Alcoa game determining 1 and 2 in that region . But some famous words to come mind when trying to figure out who's going to win it all , " To Be The Man You Got To Beat The Man ." Alcoa has to be the front runner in everybodies mind . I know the score don't indicate what kinda game it was but the Maryville / Alcoa game was alot closer than the score and they beat 2 very good 3A teams by a considerable margin and one good 2A team . The region play starts Friday night for Alcoa with Wartburg , which should be a blowout . Like I said the Alcoa / CAK game should be a good one . Good luck figuring out the rest of the playoff picture because they're alot of very good teams out there wanting to make playoffs .

  11. I know the feeling , but I already been thru the mass crowd at the Maryville Alcoa game earlier this season . I know it's gonna be bad but my daughter cheers for Alcoa and I go for her . I'm gonna probably leave at halftime and listen to WB Maryville on the radio . Then go to Cancun to eat , lol . I say Alcoa by as much as they want or more . I went to last weeks game , Alcoa / BTW , and I feel like after the sloppy play Alcoa will totally dominate both sides of the ball . I wouldn't be surprised if it went to the 60's or higher .

  12. Why is somebody that lives in Karns going to Alcoa High School? That's over 20 miles one way. If Alcoa pulls in players from that far away, it's no wonder they keep winning the AA championship.

He had to pay tuition to attend AHS like other out of district kids. About 35% of Alcoa City School kids are tuition students.

  13. I remember that DL game also, long trip but worth it to be on the field when the flag bearing the A was stuck in the ground. That game was a classic case of revenge. I will be there and I am bringing a few others, how much room is on the visitors section? We may have to come extra early.

That was me with the flag , and you're right , it was a classic case of revenge . The flag is coming to the game this week also . I need to know before I get to the gate , can we bring flags into the stadium ?

  14. I just watched the replay of that game and Catholic did everything right in the 1st half but in the 2nd half it looked like they were playing not to lose than playing to win , IMO. Fulton did a great job of adjusting to the inside run that worked for Catholic in the 1 st half . Both are good teams and you hate to see someone lose but that's the way it goes. I believe that Fulton will win the 3A title .

  15. From an Alcoa fan , Milan showed alot of heart and determination putting the TSSAA decision behind them in making playoffs and making it to the semis . I don't know much about the other 2 west teams but I'm sure they deserve to be where they're at . I'm sure we'll have our hands full with Smith County but good luck to all the teams this Fri. Goooooo Tornadoes , let's get the 3 peat !!!!!!!!!!

  16. Well at least we will know who the best football team in the state of Tennessee is on Nov. 18th after this game. No need to wait till Dec. 2nd.

Iknow this will be a good game , championship should always be , I wish McCallie luck . They are a great team and I hope they win but the no need to wait till Dec. 2 to see who the best team in Tenn. is and invalid statement . They're still plenty of teams still alive in the playoffs in their respective classes . I don't know much about 1A but Alcoa and Goodpasture in 2A , Catholic and Fulton in 3A , Maryville and Red Bank in 4A and Riverdale in 5A . I know McCallie beat Riverdale this year but Alcoa beat McCallie . I'm not trying to start a debate but anyone can beat anyone on any given night . Good luck to both DII this w/e .

  17. There is actually breaking news out of knoxville. Apparently there was a "Super Nova" like explosion. they don't know yet but they think it was a few of the alcoas players egos

Well let me just say this , to quote Ric Flair , TO BE THE MAN YOU HAVE TO BEAT THE MAN WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO !!!!!!!!! GOOOOOOOOO TORNADOES !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1
