you know region, i dont know if its because i graduated but Blackman's crowd, students and band doesnt seem to be as loud this year as in years past. i know the band lost alot of students to graduation so the fact that they arent as loud isnt their fault. but i usually sit next to the student section and they dont cheer at all, i mean sure they had a few loud pops at the Siegel game but i was dissapointed. if they are like that at the Riverdale game i will have to come out of retirement to lead the student section. watch out!!!
First of all, even though many people graduated from Blackman's band doesn't mean it's not loud. They actually fill up a whole entire section on the home side. They are much bigger than they've ever been. For some reason (and they may have been told to do so), they've just toned it down this year. They don't play constantly. It's kind of disappointing for Blackman fans. The student section is pathetic, I will say. I sit in it every single week & it turns out being about 20 Seniors and that's it. The sad part is that there are about 50 or more students that sit at the other end of the bleachers and don't stand, don't cheer, nothing. If we could get the cheerleaders to stand in front of the student section & that whole group of students to sit with us, we might be a little louder. It's hard to be loud if only .5% of your school decides to sit where they should.

StarRunner, how about you chill?! First of all, his name is right up above...let's learn how to spell. 2nd of all, chill...maybe we made a mistake. At least he made it to state in TX. 3rd of all, CHILL!!!...Blackman may not be as good as Siegel and everyone already knows that yall (assuming you are in fact a Siegel STAR) are awesome. No need to flaunt it. Please don't start trash talk on this. It's completely ridiculous and totally not worth it. But since this thread it titled "Chris Berry," good luck CHRIS! We're rootin' 4 u!

i wouldn't say that the riverdale-lincoln county rivalry is the best now. if you want a bad blood rivalry, the riverdale-blackman game is tops in this area. these two teams hate each other with a passion. the riverdale-oakland game is still huge, but its more of a mutual respect rivalry than a hatred rivalry.
Rivalry? yes but I wouldn't say Riverdale-Blackman is too much of a "hate" rivalry. Now that there are 6 major schools in Rutherford County, it's Riverdale-Oakland, Smyrna-LaVergne, & Siegel-Blackman. The Siegel-Blackman rivalry is getting BIG now...those schools absolutely hate each other. Check out the trash talk from last week's game.
and after what happened at the Smyrna-Riverdale game last week, that could cause some major rivalry in the future.

What's expected of the Blackman High girls this year?! I know they lost quite a few seniors...what are they looking like so far?!

I was just wondering what was expected of Jill Skinner of Brentwood this year? She a GREAT runner! Can she Take state again or is there someone that can take her?

Chris Berry is an amazing runner! He finished 4th in the preseason meet last week. The new runner is Nic Spear (that's right, no "k" in Nic)...he moved to TN last year and just joined the team this year. He is a great runner. Finished 18th at the preseason meet I believe. Daniel Reese also did really well...if I remember correctly, he finished 30th. (Way to go guys!) I can see Blackman really showing up this year.

Blackman spirit does stink. We need some help.
And BlazeT, I'll be #2 in that student section.
I believe the words (or close to them) that the administration used a couple of weeks ago were "We don't want to see you and naked and we don't want to see your boxers, so put on your shirts & pull up your pants"...
Makes no sense to me...we need the Blaze boys. But the idea for the Blaze girls, NEGATIVE. I don't think anyone would be willing to do that. Good try though.
