Uncalled for Totally, Had so many people pissed they started bringing in the chains to hook us all up & march us across the street to the Local Jail. 5'9" 220 6'1" 245 6'4" 300 6'3" 245 to list a few

Gonna Be a Show Everybody wants to See ,,,Going TO South Tomorrow Night,, Art?

For what its worth Id like to see # 4 (Cook) exposing some weakness along with #13 (Barger) pounding on some D-Backs

  7. Anyone know just how ''banged up'' Cannon is? thats a very big chunk of offense and defense out for tonight if he's not playing.

HE will be limited to Defense most likely due to the fact that Seabolt will be going both ways, He will rotate at coner & safety most likely. With the" Pony Express" hopefully his services on offense wont be needed.

I haven't seen any posts on special teams? That's what Wins Ballgames?

  8. My apologies parrothead didn't mean to not give credit where credit is due! Keep up the good work & thanks for your hard work

Honey D Man...if you're going to cut and paste things of TriCitiesSports.com, you at least need to give us credit...

Science Hill head football coach Scott Smith has resigned his position at the school that he had held for three years since being hired away from Independence High School.

"Scott indicated that sometimes one person is just not the right fit for a certain job and this was one of those cases," said Science Hill Athletic Director Keith Turner.

Smith went 14-17 in his three years at Johnson City and made the playoffs following the 2008 season. The 'Toppers went 4-6 this past year and missed out on the post-season.

Rumors regarding Smith's future had been swirling for some time, but Turner said a health situation regarding the Director of Schools kept the situation from being resolved sooner.

"We hate that it drug on, but those were the circumstances," said Turner.

Turner stressed the decision was Smith's and that the evaluation of the program was still underway when Smith announced his decision to leave.

"We had both agreed that some things needed to be done in certain areas and some things needed to get corrected," acknowledged Turner, "but we were still in the evaluation process."

Turner said the job will be posted for at least 10 days before any candidates are indentified for the position.

"I think we'll have some good inside candidates and some local candidates that we'd like to talk to," said Turner. "And we'll look down the road as well if the situation warrants."

Turner said Smith's teaching position is still his through the end of the school year.

"Coach Smith could still stay through the rest of the school year in his classroom," added Turner.

Although Smith didn't specifically outline his future plans, Turner expects Smith to look back towards the middle of the state for another head job.

"I think he'll probably look to go back down to that area," said Turner. "He's had a lot of success down there, so I would look for him maybe try to get back there."

  11. First, I want to congratulate both teams on two very good seasons! You both have found ways to win games to get you where you are right now. Job well Done!!! Now go out their & fight ,you both have one Dream ,as all the other teams did in Week 0.

While sitting among the Rebel faithful I enjoyed watching a Good High School Football Game.

    Observations:

    1) Field Conditions Dictated much of what was done in last weeks game, The rain on Tuesday or (waterline break?) really limited both teams. Correct me if I'm wrong but the kid that punted for Catholic was the Best I have seen all year & kept South from flipping the field most of the Night .

I feel that the two QB system disrupted the rebels at the start of the Second Half?

It was good to see #10 get out their & give it his all knowing that he could risk further Injury!!!!!!

Attendance seems to be down a bit for playoff games?

Overall a good atmosphere for High School Football, I liked the tailgate set up on the right as you go In Complete with smoker. I look forward to my return trip with a packed House and plenty of Excitement

Best of Luck to Both Teams, Play Hard, Play Fair& may the best team Win

  12. Since I'm "one & done" and off work tomorrow. Convince me that this is the game I need to come watch? Having a hard time deciding where to go in 5A

    Decisions Decisions :thumb:

...And make sure you park across from the baseball field. It never fills up. Even against DB and Bristol there was still room for about 100 cars.

I noticed their was plenty of parking out back for the DB game too, Cant believe all those people walking up Memorial wanting to get run over. I had no doubt where Id go Tomorrow. Will you buy me that hamburger? If I buy you Lunch @ my special Dive? One thing for sure it won't be Perkins after the game I couldn't even get in the dang place on my way back from Murvill last week. Good thing I called it in

Saw the Kitzes,,, They told me about the transfer,, Wishing Him much success

    Best of luck Rebels
