  1. All of our injured players should be back for this one so hopefully we can pull this out. We need to stay focused as we have for the last 4 games and play solid football.

Hey Kellen maybe you know. Did Webb throw the ball alot in their game against Catholic Friday? I read somewhere that they threw the ball more.

I think JP2 can pull the win out with determination and focus.....

    JP2 28

    Webb 21

I heard that number 24 for jp2 is out, he is a solid back, is this true, just curious

  2. Spartan, relax...breathe. Just some lively banter here. JP2 is a pretty good team this year to be only a second year varsity team so give them a little credit; you're not playing a slacker team that will quit. Win or lose they give it their best. Have a little respect for the game and the men who play it.

I agre, john paul does have a very good team and i am not putting them down i just think that webb has beaten better teams and will win this one in a solid game by around 10 to 14 but dont take anything away from john paul i am relaxed

  3. hey cherries, just for your information webb doesnt seem like they need to have a passing game to win "a game like this one" because they have beaten teams such as baylor an powell that are better than john paul, so again webb by 14

  4. Well the fact is that if walker and smith run like "winslow' seems to think they can, hes got that much right, then webb will score, just like they scored 37 against baylor, but nice try winslow you are an idiot

I know this will stir a little controversy for the DII schools, but based upon results so far, I think this is a fair assessment.  There are some from the smaller classifications that deserve some mention: David Lipscomb (5-1); Boyd Buchanan (5-1); Huntingdon (5-1); Tyner (5-1); Knoxville West (6-1)

So, let the comments begin; I fully expect it won't satisfy all.  I know there are also some teams with multiple losses already that might be better than some on the list, but I still think through this past week this is a fair analysis.

Dude are you crazy, these have to be the worst rankings i have ever seen, what about webb, they beat baylor by 2 touchdowns and austin east only beat webb by 11 (on long pass plays) with albert harris having only 39 yards. i think you need to rethink your rankings

  6. Since the #2 & #3 teams in the East/Middle division play each other in the first round of the playoffs, this game is huge for home field advantage...that is if Catholic ends up beating Webb in the final game of the season. If Catholic beats Webb, the winner of the Webb JPII game will play at home against the loser of the game.

I know both teams will be playing hard because of this reason, and it should be a great game. With JPII coming off a bye week and having the home field advantage...I tihnk JPII will pull it off. It should be a great game decided by a few points.

    Anyone else have any thoughts?

Pope 57, i totally disagree, webbs offense is almost unstoppable on the ground pulling off over 250 against mccallie, they have better offensive production, by the numbers than any other team in knoxville. I admit john paul has some athletes but i still say webb by 14

  7. ok catholic doesnt circle webb?? your saying webb isnt the biggest game of their season who else would it be?? i mean bga is down father ryan is mediocore at best and there is no one else to even consider. o yea chucky doak??? north green???

    825361237[/snapback]

you are absolutely correct tcly, this idiot has no idea what he is talking about and if he is going to say things like that and things like "Catholic circles the State championship" then he just needs to keep his mouth shut.

  8. If you guys are talking about experience Baylor DEFINITLY has the upper hand. you've got a crop of seniors that are awesome. Braswell, Simmons, Marks, Cash the list goes on and on and all these guys are spread out at different positions so Webb has no contest in this one.

Well The Real Truth, looks like webb not only beat Baylor but handled them easily with a 16 point victory what do you have to say
