In defense of a fellow Tornado fan, Murphy Fair made that comment about #21. He got his information from the South Pittsburgh sideline. He may have had a legitimate injury.. I don't know, but put blame where it's due.

Yeah.. John was one of those Cavness players of his career. Played it all. Kinda' makes me wonder about posting a new forum... all-star UC team using players from the 4 championship appearances....?

You might want to check where South Fulton ranks on that small public school list because they have one student going along with the UC kids on that trip...It can be done...As far as I know, Jorge and there is another on the team that doesn't play any are the only two FESs we have ever had that played football....
Daniel Maya was a FES in 2004. He was a kicker (soccer player.. go figure!), too. Didn't get a chance to do much because we had John Graham at that time.

Just saw the programs.....Union's biggest boy is 295....after looking at the program for tomorrows game http://www.tssaa.org/2009Champions/StateFootball/1ARosters.pdf they are really not bigger than us....we have guys that weigh alot to that can stop up the middle...I think a big key will be our depth...it will wear them down.
Don't believe everything you read. We were bigger than Trousdale Co. on paper in 2005... then we lined up. I'm not saying we're definitely bigger but I think program guides can be skewed a little in any direction.

Good luck to UC in their 4th appearance.. maybe this is the year. Wish I could be there to root ya'll on (wish I could go back and play again with ya'll haha) but I can't be skipping class a week before finals. Hope everyone that is going travels safely. GO UC!!

Either color ball is better than no ball at all.
This is true.. it will finally give us that fourth trophy to put on the last corner of that pesky blanket.

Old Pirate, are you the same guy from Dodgeball? After reading your posts it sure does sound like it.

I'm loving all these huge scores that the South Pitt. fans are coming up with. I wonder if they realize how much time they will actually have to score. The veer offense eats up most of the game clock. I know.. I've played against it unsuccessfully (against Coach Bowling) because our offense never got on the field. So as long as UC's offense is in shape, I don't see any way for SP to score that often.

[WHERE IS UNION CITY IS IT CLOSE TO DYERSBURG
Union City is about 30 minutes from Dyersburg, an hour from Jackson, and 4 days from a gold ball.

I'm sure some will base Union City on their performance in the 2005 championship game as how UC will play next Friday...That would be a huge mistake...UC was sorely out-coached and sorely unprepared...UC looked as though they never even watched film on Trousdale County....The Tornadoes were also not very physical that year...That won't be the case this time around...UC will be prepared and they are physical....
I can't say that I agree with being "sorely unprepared" in 2005. We may have been out-coached, but I can guarantee you that the 2005 team worked just as hard as anybody else that week. We were matched up against a bionic team of freaks on steroids (and I mean that as a compliment). Coach Fishel and the boys went in with confidence having watched plenty of film. The problem came in a lack of play calling.
I do agree with the fact that UC's play in 2005 cannot predict their play this Friday. Go get 'em UC!
P.S. It's not "Union," it's UNION CITY.

I cringed as I watched ya'lls kicker. You could tell the poor guy didn't get much opportunity to kick. Amazing how the special teams game can be ignored but can become the biggest part with less than 2 minutes left in a game.
