Going to tell on the coach is probably not going to improve his situation with playing time at all. As a matter of fact that will probably go over like a pregnant pole vaulter.

Maybe he was trying to motivate him. You have got to have a thick skin to play football. I'm sure if coach Hodge had said it,  nothing would have ever been brought up about it. I don't know coach Rang at all,  but it seems people can't wait for him to fail for some reason.

Who does the staff consist of as of right now?

I wanted Chad as much as anyone, but can we please move on. He is the coach at McNairy Central now. Coach Rang is our head coach so lets support him and the young men on the team. You can't kick these kids to the curb just because we didn't get the coach we wanted. That's like the little kid that takes his toys and goes home because he didn't get his way. Trust me these kids read everything that is said on here.

Talked to Dresser's dad, and he and Dresser really like the coach.

What is it that everyone is hearing?

The only problem I have with the administration is they tend to play the good ole boy game. Hodge slid into Dresden with no ties whatsoever and its the best thing to happen to Dresden football. The Dresden teams in the past had as much or more talent than any in the past five years but when kids can miss practices and lifts for hair appointments you will go 1 and 29 in a three year period. If their problem with Chad is his antics watch Chuck during a girls basketball game.

The incoming freshmen and last years freshmen have as much talent as any team in Dresden history but some of the "key" players are already slacking because talent trumps work ethic in their eyes.

As people I have no issues with the administration I know them all and they are good God fearing men. To me, we are to the point that it looks like they have no clue what they are doing. If you have 30 candidates for the job pick one and let him get to work.

As far as the Lion Posse is concerned its not that hard to join this club but we do have a secret initiation. Our lone requirement is while at a football game you are required to stand up and cheer for our team. Football games are not the time for social hour and discuss who is sleeping with who around town.

I'm really not angry, I'm proud my son had four years with Keith and Chad and is probably one of if not the winningest four year team in Dresden history.

I'm hearing we will know tomorrow!!! Honestly this is getting dumber by the second. I've decided that the powers that be are a bunch of idiots!!! Have the testicular fortitude to make a decision and live with it. All your doing is hurting the kids.

I don't blame the whole team, QB club and community if they go to Murray or anywhere else.

ha ha ha, lol...he may be a great guy but Dresden is not hiring him.  He is too young and has no head coaching experience.  You can put it in concrete, the hire will not be this guy from Union City.  It would be a bad hire for Dresden and for the young man as well, he don't need the added pressure of coaching at his home town.  He needs to prove himself as a head coach somewhere else first then he could come back home.  One thing this should tell people is the hire will come from outside the program.  

I didn't say they should hire him, and I didn't say they were going to hire him. Just saying he is a great guy that's all.

Justin is a great guy, o line coach at UC,  no head coach experience though. He played at Dresden.

got a question,does union citys crowd always act like they did against greenfield,and do the players always talk to the opponents crowd like they were doing Monday nightt?

I don't see comparing Westview to Henry County and Milan at all really.  Daylight and dark!

Rev picks us to win state every year, hopefully he will be correct one of these days. I've said it before and I'll say it again this game will be too close to call, just like the last two years. 

I think the difference in Dresden's program is 150% the coaches getting the kids to believe in their system and installing a work ethic in them. Dresden will not meet a team that is in better shape than they are. Westview has a good program and has owned Dresden throughout the years, last two games has proven Dresden can be competitive with the Chargers.

It's really easy for people to get on here and bash the opposing team, fans, coaches and programs. Just ask fanatic. Bottom line is, these are kids that need support from their fans, coaches and families. People need to cheer for their team like there is no tomorrow because these kids are one play from having their high school carriers being over.

Dresden played Westwood at Crump Stadium last year. Very nice facility in a bad part of town. Crump Stadium has artificial turf which most of our teams are not used to playing on. Dresden practiced at UTM's stadium to get adjusted to it. I'm going with Peabody by 2 TD's.

I agree with Peabody by 2 touchdowns!.Westwood will have athletes and speed at all skill positions, but from what I have been told it is very undisciplined.

Well....that was ugly. I cant believe the Gleason got beat by this team. Great job Mustangs!!!!

Digger, I wish you luck in this game, but I have a feeling Huntingdon is the best 1A or 2A team in west Tennessee by FAR.

I'm just messing with our friend at FCA, he spends more time on our threads than theirs. No doubt beating Huntingdon is a tall task, but thats why they play the game.as ysoangry puts it we may get monkeystomped, but i could not be prouder of these young men.

10/26/12 the day it started downhill for Dresden, big boy football has arrived

If Dresden wins it is obvious they are district champs finishing with the only perfect district record. If Huntingdon wins and West Carroll beats McKenzie then Dresden is district champs because it will be a 3-way tie for first and Dresden will have the better overall record. If Huntingdon wins and McKenzie beats West Carroll then Huntingdon is district champs because Huntingdon and Dresden will be the only two teams with a single loss in the district and ememberHuntingdon would have the head-to-head match-up win over Dresden. West Carroll cannot win the district title. Since I know we are going to beat Dresden I am also cheering on McKenzie to beat West Carroll. I feel like both are going to happen. Especially us beating Dresden. We will win by no less than 3 TD's. Dresden is too slow and has played a soft schedule. They are fixing to get the hammer put on them.

You got me, been a big Dresden fan ever since I saw that great show they put on in Cookeville last season. By the way, hope you don't get hurt when that Bama bandwagon you jumped on blows a tire and careens off the road.

for your information , i was born there, been going to at least two games a year for the last 36 years.. I dont exactly think thats being a band wagon fan
