I think the JV game has been canceled. You may want to check with Neal to verify if the game is still on.
That would be nice.... I had concessions!!!
Yup, JV is cancelled. Now MJUHB, are you going to teleport or something?
-
jv should be a good game also
http://www.ladybruinsoccer.com/ladybruins/index.htm
here's their website if you have not seen it
Nice site. Wonder if Neal could tap into the SCHS site to do something like that.
Which game are you going to?

its at 7:00 right
i looked it up on last years eurosport it was 2-0 i also remember neal telling me that last year
I stand corrected. Yes 7pm, with JV at 5pm. Come to think of it, it was their Senior night when we played them last year.

i am looking forward to seeing brentwood play on tuesday vs shelbyville
i think have a good feel for what everyone will do except brentwood
it should be a great game for both teams if shelbyville has all the fans there they did on saturday night it will be tough for brentwood to play
i also want to see if shelbyville can follow up a great game with another great game because shelbyville needs to learn to survive and advance thats something shelbyville needs if they what to get too state
I agree fully. Last year Brentwood won 1-0 at Brentwood, and I am looking forward to the game also. If the game can go like it did against Tullahoma, then both teams will even out nicely. I'll predict a 1-0 game. Something tells me the fan base will be there again.

Great post Hearing some of Tullahoma's scores I would have to agree with you about staying top 15. Unless they bring their game come tournament time I don't see it happening. But again who knows Tullahoma always does play well post season. They may have a hard time against Riverdale but I'm predicting T-town comes out on top. Two reasons...1)more expierience and 2)I don't believe Riverdale has any depth at all. Tullahoma will definitely be stronger off the bench which I do believe can pull it out for them as long as they come ready to play.
Tullahoma has a couple key players injured, which doesn't make them worse, it just makes their bench short. While seeing both teams play, neither one has much of a scoring strength, but Riverdale is pretty quick, and they'll get around a young Tullahoma defense. We'll see how close each of us are come game time.

After seeing the fan base last night, and the over all support from the High School and the Community (I think we had 400+ come through the gate...), I have to retract my previous statement. The fans were back, the stands were rocking, and everything was possitive. No numbers being called out, no insults, just a good ol long sought after win from the Shelbyville crew against Tullahoma.
I think Neal needs to lock those Softball bleachers in the soccer area and not let them go.... Last night proved that they can get filled easily.
MJUHB... after seeing what I saw last night, I don't think that Tullahoma could stay in the top 15. I think that they will have a hard time against Riverdale also. I'll predict 3-1 Riverdale on that one.

what does that have to do with our game
tullahoma and shelbyville have respect for another so i know nothing like will ever happen
Also, the Shelbyville fan base has changed for the better this year. Not saying that the rowdy will be missed, or the fun of it all.... but it has gotten a lot more respectful. The best High School fan base that I've sen this year so far has to be Franklin County. They kept our fans rolling on the side line. They have great pride. Now don't think that I'm downing our side, they are good too, but there was a sense of humor in their cheers (no jeers).

It's also Senior Night tonight for Shelbyville. Festivities start at 5:30

This will definately be a huge game for District 8! My prediction is 3-1 Shelbyville. (If they come out to play).
Does anyone know where and when District 8 playoffs will be?

AAA
To be Honest i don't think there is a #1 team
much less a top 10 team because i think there is alot of bad soccer going around
if i had to start the rankings at a # it would be 12 because their is no 1-11 right now
lol!! you're not going to make friends with very many soccer coaches this way...

It's nice to see Shelbyville back in the top 20. They redeamed themselves this weekend from a rough start. Too bad they are racked with injuries, I think that they could have been top 10 or even top 5, but then again a lot of girls have really stepped up, and it might just be what they need. When everyone gets healthy, they might put on a full field press!
-
how well did knox catholic play against shelbyville?? more or less how good did they look?
acutally her twin sister shaina was in the goal second half...
They didn't have much of a press on offense, and their defence was slow compared to Shelbyville's wings. Their middle was decent though.

Good game SCHS!!!!
It was a great game and good to see the girls back in form! Awesome play from the Defense all the way up to the Strikers.

I think that the big advantages will go to the teams with a lot of speed. It might be one of those things that the Coaches will need to look at when these girls start playing.
-
and you to soccerformthenorth
you got my #. Let me know.
Both siegel and Shelbyville have played 20 matches so far this year. Shelbyville has scored 56 goals and given up 27. siegel has scored 87 and given up 26. This may not be much of an indicator but +32 goals sure is a big difference!
Let's take a look at when the shots were called off to maintain a relationship with the other team, vs. a true blowout... Then take a look at opponants. That's where you'll see the difference.

Only one game to watch tonight.
I'm headed to Vanderbilt for the Tennessee/Vandy game. It starts 7:00PM in N
Nashville.
SEE YA!
GO VOLS!!!
Didn't see you there! You must have been on the Orange side.

sorry monday at east middle in tullahoma
tullahoma vs columbia 5:00
shelbyville vs lincoln co 7:00
wednesday
title game
Are you sure about Wednesday being the title game? I thought that it was Thursday.
-
lincoln co 2-1 coffee co
very one sided game. I'm afraid for Chelsea Hurst though, she's limping pretty good and has lost alot of speed.

Soccer from the North is just a dad off the Shelbyville team. In his postings there are some players he will never give any credit to at all. You will notice last year and this year as well, there are players to be commended for their hard work and accomplishments ignored. Because, if I remember right Shelbyville had 6 or 7 All District Players last year. They had 1 senior, 1 sophomore, and 1 freshman make All District 1st team. They had 2 or 3 freshman make All District 2nd team. What if some of these girls never got to play Junior Varsity? They were Varsity only players since junior high and high school. "Team Player" that is the form of speech I am looking for. Soccer from the North you know who these players are and you should know it takes scoring, assisting, defending, and saving to make a great player and team.
That's fine, I can take the criticism. I beleive that you were talking about an earlier posting on this thread... There are many players on the Shelbyville team that are outstanding, and if you look at the players that I mentioned, one WAS a defender, and the other a utility player even though she plays Forward most of the time. Follow all my posts, and you will see that I've complimented about 10 girls this year from the Striker down to the Goalie, and also players coming off of the bench.
Looking from you're name and postings, you've created a name to stay anonymous, so thanks for calling me out.

Aren't you being a little hard on Tullahoma?
-
With all due respect to the Eurosport poll, how many Coaches outside of the Eastern Teams of Tennessee actually have a vote in this poll? mjuhb, just keep doing what you're doing. It makes more sense and MOST people enjoy it!

top 10 players in region 4
1 brittany winn siegel
2 hannah martin shelbyville
3 katherine baltz tullahoma
4 chelsea hurst lincoln co
5 paige prescott siegel
6 kara adams tullahoma
7 molly delk cookville
8 brittany rodgers tullahoma
9 carey black blackman
10 angela petty riverdale
I think that Chelsea Hurst should be in the top 2, fantastic player with blazing speed. But in the top 10, I would almost have to add Freshman Kayla Warren from Shelbyville. I know that she has been coming off the bench all year, but seeing her play would tell you why I'd add her to the list. She has been splitting between JV and Varsity, and has about 20 goals this year. But if that's not good enough, I would have to add another Shelbyville player, probably Amanda Cook (defense).

Looks like District 7 was as much fun as District 8. Alot of teams playing at the same skill level.
-
As the season nears completion, Shelbyville is coming out of District 8 undefeated, and Tullahoma is coming out with one loss(1-0 by Shelbyville). District 7 is currently showing siegel and Cookville as undefeated (?). What will be the final matchups be, and will there be a sleeper come in and ruin it all?

Thanks... means a lot to her. Funny how the season went when she was in and when she wasn't. Not saying anything about the team, great bunch of girls, just funny what you see.....
