I got a chance to come home and see the lc game and I thought we looked sluggish? Without a few lc mistakes that game could have been much closer.

 

I do not like the set up to this game and I just don't think it is going to be easy at all.

 

I hope the post on here do not reflect the players attitudes and that coach A has them ready.

You know yall might be a good football team with good coach's but seriously if any team had depth like yall do you should be good.. But little post like that shows no class. Just like the sign yall had at Oakland i believe.. No class..Atleast you can say Lincoln county has class.. Proud to have been part of it.

the funniest thing iv heard in awhile was when we pulled into riverdale friday night and saw all the big houses in front of the school.. Some one in the back of the bus hollered.. "hey look.. FRAT houses"

Great effort by my boys tonight.. We made mistakes at the wrong times.. i believe we suprised some people.. Sad to see my football career done at lc and i want to thank all my seniors for a great year... Riverdale is a great team.. i think the oline did excellent against a big D line... Number 99 is a great player but me and my boy 68 got some good blocks on him... does anyone have any strength stats on him??

I will go ahead and tell you we know we can beat Riverdale… When we first met them this year we weren’t ready to play and we played scared.. Not going to happen this round.. LC’s leaders are stepping up and we WILL be ready to play.. We just have to come out like we did after half time and repeat are first drive over and over.. Lc will be ready my boys… trust me… lc68… we got to have are best game all season..

Well im the center for the falcons and alot of the time the ball was different every series. Thats not an excuse tho. Great game for the Falcons tho.

First off, lc54, congrats on the win.

 

Second, I'm not trying to pick on you, but please work on the spelling. Oakland is capitalized. With; a lot is two words; starting; Falcons is capitalized; I've; you is three letters when used as a word; Trojans; seriously, if "u" want to comment on someone not knowing a lot, a little proofreading would let that person take "u" more seriously.

 

Third, I do know my football. I know it's tough for a running back to get started when the defense is hitting him as soon as he gets the ball (happened a lot last night). I know when a pulling guard comes around the tackle to kick a defender out he shouldn't whiff. I know that lineman should have consistent stances...I was able to tell when a pass was coming just by the LC O-Line's stances. I know there was very limited success between the tackles (there was a long fullback run for a td on 4th down...well done, 1 long play) and most of Ramsey's yards came when the play was run to the outside or he was able to bounce it outside. There is more if you want constructive criticism.

 

Seriously, I never would have posted on Coach T about you guys if you and your linemate had not started posting as though you were the Hogs from the 1980's Redskins (look it up, they were great). I yelled my head off for the Falcons last night and was pleased for the win. Just because I point out issues doesn't make me less of a fan...if anything it makes me more of one as I can objectively see issues and am willing to point them out.

 

Now, prove me wrong....dominate Hazel Green next week and I'll be the first one to sing your praises.

Well well well... To all the oakland players. that was a great game... # 66 is a great player.. Yall played wit alot of effort and ALOT of heart.. I was the startin center for the falcons and out of my 3 years that was the best game iv been in.. Thanks for all the support we got and to Falconfanatic .. I hope u saw that LCs o line is better than u think... U dont seem like u know awhole lot.. Thanks for bein a true falcon fan.. But thanks for all the support falcons fan... Not many people thought we would win... But u can never under estimate a Falcon team.. Best of luck to Oakland

As a offensive lineman for the falcons we have alot to prove this week... Last week was not the real falcons... Look for a big run game just because we have somethin to prove and If we make room for #5 to run.... he will...

Lincoln County is coming off a tough 17-7 loss to the Franklin Rebels. The Falcon players were furious after the game according to the coaching staff. Blackman played a good quarter and a half before getting trampled by the Patriots. Lincoln County's offensive line is a concern, but Blackman's offense made around 4 turnovers, which prompted Oakland to score several points before ending the first half and essientially ending the ballgame like the way it was last season. There is no doubt Blackman has improved, but so has Lincoln County who has dressed out about 73 players. What are your thoughts on this game?

Where u even at the game Russell D. Luna... Lincoln countys o line did not look bad at all... and there is no concern there...

3 problems I see for LC are:

 

1) Offensive Line - no time to pass, no run blocking

2) Fumbles - make these boys carry a ball around 24 hrs. a day

3) Lack of crowd support

 

The LC crowd will not stay in a game and make noise to keep these boys fired up. Only noise you hear is during a big play. Somebody needs to get these fans fired up and making some noise during big 3rd downs for the other team, etc. It was like a funeral over there.

 

Defense played well, but look tired towards the end of the game. Probably so, as they spent 85% of the time on the field.

No time to pass?? No run blocking?? You got be kiddin me. We had close to 200 yards rushing.. We made a few mistakes... but we adjusted.. Easy to blame the big guys up front... But i think u need to pay alil more attention...

If that is so then LaVergne must have the best Offensive line in history b/c not one of LaVergne's first OL came close to losing in any one on one drills with LC's DL...Corey Davis and Sherman Carter really held their side down

lc's o line dominated Lavergne's d line in that drill... You got to agree with that

Lc had a very good camp. We have stepped it up alot and we will continue to get better... LaVergne did have there first team d in when Lc scored... Trust me i was on the feild.. Lc's O line looked very good al thro the camp.. #45 and # 5 will have a great year.. Watch out for LC

The Falcons are going to be a team to watch... They have and still are workin very hard in the weight room and running... I am a offensive lineman and this will be my senior year.. Ill go ahead and tell you that this year the o line will not be the problem.... we have leadership and are workin very hard to better ourselfs... FALCONS ALL THE WAY

Anyone heard anything more on the break in/vandalism last night at LC? Just wondering what the damage was and if anyone was making progress on figuring out who the idiot(s) were that did it.

Go back and check your film man...and you will see who started the fight at the scrimmage.  Keep watching and you will see who ended the fight.  LC started the fight...LaVergne ended it.  Both teams were tired...both had been running a lot...your arguement there isn't valid.  Smyrna may beat LaVergne by 2 TD's, they probably should, but come friday night both teams will strap 'em on and decide it there.  And one more thing, I'm no talent scout, but based on what was witnessed from both LC and Franklin, it will be a long game for the Falcons.

i think u should go back and check your films lavernge came cross the feild at lc. lavernge was just upset cause they were gettin man handled. there had been 2 massive hits from lc. lavernge was lookin for i fight. after the fight who still was bad..lavernge

According to several LaVergne players....Lavergne put a pretty good whipping on Lincoln County and based on the scrimmage we had with LaVergne, their players said "You won't have any problem with Lincoln County. They have a couple of big lineman but they are not Div 1 prospects and they(the team) are slower than they have ever been."

 

All that aside, this rivalry is one that calls for weather forecasts and nail biting! Each of the last three years this game has come under weather delay and has caused momentum to swing because of it.

 

Three years ago a goal line stand on the one yard line by Franklin sealed the victory. Two years ago Franklin came roaring back in the second half and was stopped just short of pulling it off. Last year another close game. All three years the difference was less than a touchdown 2002 ~ 7-6 Franklin, 2003 ~ 33-28 Lincoln Co. and 2004 ~ 14-9 Franklin.

 

I feel pretty certain that the new Franklin coach will want to schedule some KY school next year as a season opener, so this will probably be the last of this series. I look forward to going to the Pit one last time!

I know the scrimmage is set between Lincoln County and Smyrna on May 6th. What time is the scrimmage and where is it located ? I know the game will be broadcasted on the Falcon Radio Network but I am not sure what time the game is and it's location.

I dont really know the stats on these guys and i dont know if they will go on the top of the list but these lincoln county boys are pretty good. Stehen Hasten is a 10 grader that started at nose, John Lewis and Cody Wilson both being jr.'s were at the talckes, and finally we had Terrell Blake a jr. at defensive end. Together they played a good year and cant wait to see them next year. Good luck falcons
