  1. It's sad to see a Division 1 basketball player lose his full scholarship on stupidity. I heard him and Davis got into arguments on his first suspension, then failed a drug test, then had academic problems. I don't know if that info is 100% true though. Josh was a very great player for Liberty Tech, one of the top high school players in the state, and helped lead Liberty to back to back state tourney titles in 2006 and 2007.

  2. Cleveland travels to Siegel Monday night to take on the Stars in a AAA Substate game at 7:00. Cleveland has only won 8 games all season and has somehow made it this far. Siegel is really hot right now and is looking to get back to the Murphy Center for the 3rd time in 4 years. I expect big games from Tyler Cutter who is an Indiana State signee, Montori Hughes, and Kerry Hammons. It should be a packed house at Siegel Monday night and the Siegel Nation will be very loud. I'm taking Siegel by 20 points in this one /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" />

  3. I still can't believe Sycamore lost to Creekwood. Creekwood ended up losing to Bolivar in the Region championship game by about 30 or something like that. Creekwood goes to CPA Monday night at 7:00, while Bolivar hosts Giles County I believe. Good luck to Creekwood, even though CPA is extremely good with Z Mason and Hunter Miller and coached by Vanderbilt legend Drew Maddux.

  4. Congrats to Siegel on the winning the Region championship against White County in front of a packed house at Shelbyville Central. Cutter had 10 points and alot of assists, Marc Gooch had 18 points, TJ Mitchell had 18 points, and Kerry Hammons had 12 points for the Stars. Siegel will now play Cleveland at home Monday night at 7:00 I believe. The Stars should win the substate game and get back to the Murphy Center /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" />

  5. Cutter will be ready to go tonight. I'm expecting Cutter and Montori to have big games tonight. Even though White Co. has beat Siegel 3 times this season, I'm still taking the Stars tonight by 10 and it should be a packed house tonight at Shelbyville Central. /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" />

  6. Siegel by 10 tomorrow. I expect another big game from Tyler Cutter, an Indiana State signee, and he is not going to let the Stars lose tomorrow. /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" />

  7. Sycamore beat Chester County last night by a score of 73-44 I believe. Creekwood upset Jackson South Side by ten points. Sycamore has another tough test coming up against Creekwood. Both teams split 1-1 in the season. Sycamore has to execute because Creekwood is a very dangerous team. Harpeth will give Bolivar a run for their money Tuesday night. Good luck to my boys at Sycamore /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" />

Tuesday night at Lexington High School:

    1. 11-AA Sycamore vs. 3. 11-AA Creekwood

    1. 12-AA Bolivar vs. 2. 11-AA Harpeth

  8. Cutter is one of the top players in the state. He's not the best. I believe he's the best PG in the state though. Cutter doesn't have an attitude, he just plays with alot of passion. Anyways, Siegel plays Lawrence County at home tonight at 7:00 and they should win. /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" />

    Here's a good article on Cutter from the DNJ www.dnj.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/ ... 10315/1006

  9. Harpeth beat McNairy Central last night 78-71. Trey Caruthers had 28 points to lead all scorers and Kevin Giltner added 25 for the Indians. There was about 3 seconds left in the fourth quarter and Giltner, a Wofford signee, made a huge 3 to tie the game and send it into overtime, where the Indians took over. Harpeth will now play the winner of Waverly vs. Bolivar Tuesday night. Sycamore hosts Chester County tonight at 7:00, while Creekwood and Waverly travel on the road to Jackson South Side and Bolivar at 7:00 tonight. Semifinal games will be Tuesday night at Lexington High School.

  10. The bracket is set and play is ready to begin. First round games are at the higher seed, then the semifinals and championship game will be held at Lexington High School. The first and second place teams from the tournament will advance to the Substate game. Good luck to my boys at Sycamore /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" />

    Region 6-AA Bracket

    1. 11-AA. Sycamore

    4. 12-AA. Chester County

    2. 12-AA. Jackson South-Side

    3. 11-AA. Creekwood

    1. 12-AA. Bolivar

    4. 11-AA. Waverly

    2. 11-AA. Harpeth

    3. 12-AA. McNairy

  11. Congrats to my boys at Sycamore on winning the championship tonight. /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" /> Sycamore is a #1 seed in the region tournament and I believe they will play Friday night at Sycamore in Lynch-Puthoff gymnasium at 7:00.

  12. Congrats to Siegel on finishing 2nd place. Cutter had 26 to end the night with and he tried bringing the Stars back in the 4th quarter, but it wasn't enough. Hopefully the Stars will rebound from this loss and make some noise in the region, which I have a feeling they will. I would like to see Cutter lead the Stars to the Murphy Center /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" />

  13. Siegel beat Lebanon tonight 80-68. Siegel was led in scoring by Tyler Cutter, who put 32 points with 4 three pointers made. Marc Gooch also added 15. It was a good game. Siegel takes on Oakland tomorrow night at 8:30 at Lebanon High School. It should be a packed house tomorrow night. Good luck to the Stars /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" />

  14. Congrats to Sycamore on the blowout. Sycamore and Harpeth have 4 days to prepare for each other. It should be a great game Tuesday night at Cheatham County Central High School. Creekwood plays Waverly in the consolation game at 6:30 and then Harpeth takes on Sycamore at 8:00 in the championship game.
