Who will win the 2nd annual Battle for the State at Lipscomb University?? The teams that are playing in this prestigious event include host team Sycamore, Riverdale, Union City, Independence, Brentwood Academy, Livingston Academy, Haywood County, and Mt. Juliet. I believe Sycamore can win this tournament if they play like they're capable of and not committ too many turnovers. Good luck to all teams. This should be a great tourney with some outstanding players in it.

Siegel played good tonight, but couldn't hit enough free throws and layups down the strecth to seal the victory. Cutter played really well tonight. Tonight's game at Greenbrier was a joke. Sycamore flat out dominated. When a team leads 50-15 at the half you know they are going far. I don't care how bad Greenbrier is.. Sycamore was on tonight. The threes just kept falling in the basket for Sycamore. The final score was seventy something to thirty something. The jv got put in with plenty of time left in the fourth, so I kind of lost interest /blush.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":blush:" border="0" alt="blush.gif" /> . If Sycamore plays like they did tonight no one in the district can stop them. Hmmm No one in the state could stop them /rolleyes.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":rolleyes:" border="0" alt="rolleyes.gif" /> ... ok nvm I'll wait a little while before I go that far.. But none the less Sycamore is hot and ready for districts.. Bring it on

77-58 was the final and Greene played GREAT scoring 37 points to lead the Indians.

Sycamore beat Hunters Lane today 71-68. BC why aren't yall broadcasting from McGavock?

Sycamore ended up losing 82-62 to McGavock. Sycamore fought hard, but their execution level wasn't high enough to beat a McGavock team loaded with athletes. I thought Keenan Froedden, Chase Kilgore, and Aaron Nicholson were the ones that played well for Sycamore. Sycamore plays another athletic bunch tomorrow, Hunters Lane. The game plan should be about the same and hopefully Sycamore can come out on top tomorrow. /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" />

Tonight should be Sycamore's first "real test" as they travel to Nashville to take on a McGavock team that is very athletic. Sycamore has got to defend well and rebound tonight because they will get blown out if they don't. Siegel beat Wilson Central 69-53 last night. Kerry had 21 points, Cutter had 15, and Tate had 13 to lead the Stars. Cutter is looking to get everybody involved this year. He had ten or eleven assists last night and it is looking like he's becoming more of a pass-first point guard, but when Cutter needed to score last night he did. Siegel played some good defense last night as well. I don't know if I even want to make the trip to the Metro Thanksgiving Tourney at McGavock after hearing about all of this.

Siegel, who is 2-0, takes on Wilson Central Tuesday night at home. I'm taking the Stars by 10 and looking for Cutter to have a big game. What are yalls thoughts??

Siegel beat Lincoln County last night by a score of 79 to 43. Cutter lead the way with 16 points and Kerry added 14 for the Stars. Siegel travels to Beech tonight.

Dyer County wins this win because they return everybody from their Class AA Final Four team from last year. Chaisson Allen, the former Oakland basketball star, is playing extremely well at Northeastern after averaging 11 points and 9 rebounds a game after losing barely to Maryland and Illinois. /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" />

Siegel is hosting a play day this Saturday. There should be some good teams there.

Sycamore had Independence today, USN thursday, and they go to Siegel Saturday for a play day.
