The Richland fans were by far and away the lowest class of fans that MTP has ever faced. And that includes CA. You folks were rude and just outright disgusting. The entire MTP fan base stood and clapped for the Raiders, and for the players announced for all tourney team, but richland fans, primarily the student body, booed, turned their backs to the floor and even set down, when "the winning" teams players were announced. They couldn't have been tired or hoarse from yelling though, because they were behind the entire game...Oh Well, "class" shows, and it did not raise it's head from the richland class section on "Championship" night. As long as your content with the Semi-Final game than more power to you. You've had the talent level to get there every year based solely on ability. Takes a good game plan and strategic planning to go further though. They'll never make it to Murfreesboro with Marco running the ball 95% of the time from the QB position. Got owned Huh? Penalties hurt MP huh? According to the Tennessean, Cascade had 260 yards of total offense and Mt. Pleasant had 336 (286 was Marco). I don't think I'd call that "owned". According to the Tennessean, penalties and penalty yards were dead even at 6-50 yards. I don't know if that is accurate or not, but I figured the penalty yardage was close and a non-factor by comparison. The true difference in the game were the crucial first half turnovers Cascade had inside your 20 yard line and the failed onside kick in the fourth quarter. Those three plays swung the game.

I've read all the messages, everyone spouting off about this and that. The video shows what really happened. Cascade ran their mouths off, came in here with an attitude, showed no respect for our field, our property or anything. They willfully and purposely tried to mar and deface the T at mid field, they went out of their way to act like they were tearing up our goal post pads before the kick off when they purposely were on the end of the field that they had no business being at. Collinwood didn't even act like that and hasn't acted like that for several years (well except for fighting out in the middle of their field after they lost) And the outcome of the game showed what cheap and very unprofessional individuals, and team they trully were. Mt. Pleasant set the tone and dictated the game from the very first snap and Cascade was never able recover. Cascade could not move the ball without the aid of the officiating. Truth of the matter is, ya'll got your tales kicked. Plain and simple

mount pleasant is going nowhere with the pitiful defense they have.......they are just to slow except for dailey.........you got lucky this time...I actually sat on the mt pleasant side......it was fun watching you guys squirm and cuss and holler come on defense cant you do something to stop them......loved it!!!!!! I didnt see anybody run dixon down, he ran circles around your guys. you did manage to get him a couple of times by grabbing his shirt and hanging on for dear life.......Collinwood would have scored there are the end if they would have just given him the ball instead of trying to pass it........youre defense was so gassed here at the end collinwood drove the field with only one minute of time to work with........sorry, i wasnt impressed with mt pleasant at all except for dailey........i almost feel sorry for him, he has NO help at all...i will tip my hat to him for carrying it all on his shoulders........see you in the playoffs.......cant wait MT pleasant tigers=not very impressive......I honestly expected a little more.......I will say this, the refs were a lot better.........ps to whomever said collinwood was all dixon......I saw collinwoods number 22 and number 7 roast you on two long tds runs too.

Im not a columbia academy fan I was born and raised in Wayne County and aint nobody at either school in wayne county gonna be scared like those undersized kids at Ca were. If CA's denfense steps it up then they will win. I have played against both teams and CA has the better offense and they will score a lot of points. I say CA by 2 touchdowns. Good luck to both teams.

Huge week in 6A. Huntland is preparing for a battle, WC is a good team with a good coach and CJ can play. Any coach will tell you when you trot 16 seniors out on the field and 9 or 10 of them start, chances are they are pretty good.

I don't know who will win, but I do know they both are capable.

 

letrrip says Huntland vs WC pickem and Mt. Pleassant wins against Collinwood 28 to 21. The region is still in doubt all the way until week 10. Good luck and stay healthy to all teams.

Man DCA is going to win this game. I still believe CPA is a better team, well I know they are. Friday night they just thought it was over and didn't realize it until there was 40 secs to go. They drove the entire length of the field and just ran out of time. Mt. Pleasant is a good team but I wasn't impressed at all. And before you all get on here and boast about how "y'all" won the game, It won't change the way I saw things. Yes Mt. Pleasant does have some athletes and yes they did defeat CPA and yes they deserve to move on but NO they won't beat DCA. HECK if they do I'll come back from college and take the entire squad out for pizza or w/e "y'all" do down in Mt. Pleasant. Lets go DCA put this team in their place.

Both DCA and MP are great teams for sure.  One other aspect that MP will have to pay attention to in addition to robjim's list above is the QB Fenwick.  This kid can pass really well, but he does add one other dimension and that is his ability to roll out of the pocket and either run it himself or make a great pass to someone who has worked themselves into the open.

 

Mrs OnlineLC has told me now that CPA football season is over, she is going to have a ladies night out on Friday.  As that leaves me with a free evening, it is very tempting to make the drive again down to MP to see this matchup.

This is the third week in a row that all we're going to hear "is what Mt Pleasant will have to deal with". If we had listened to all that jargon, we wouldn't even have beaten that fine "5-5 ""squad from FRA. Well....... what was that outcome??????? Then it started last week, our "pass defense" will be our downfall against the superb "9-2" boys from CPA, whose "ONLY" losses had come at the hands of Riverdale and DCA. Heck, in our own local newspaper, we didn't even get any recognition, all they could print was the same thing I'm reading now. The point I'm trying to make, is cut the bull ____, and come on down. We'll deal with these "far superior boys" one quarter of football at a time.

Im kind of glad that everyone seems to think that CPA is the underdog in this game... thats the way CPA likes it. CPA plays their best when they are already thought to have lost the game...Mt Pleasant will be a good game and the fact that CPA has been looked over so much will be a plus for them too. All i can say is Mt. Pleasant needs to get ready for a fight cause those guys are coming ready to play. CPA has a strong team and if they come ready to play they will dominate the game.
