We need to get Patterson back on the field. In the first game Peabody put alot of people in the box and had that safety 7 or 8 yards off the ball. It'll be interesting to see what we do.
He'll be back this week... and we do need him desperately!... This should be a VERY physical game, but I think Milan will pull it out... Wishful thinking says Milan by 21, common sense says Milan by... a little

No, this is way better than that. However, like Dynasty said, you might not realize what it is if you're not familiar with the team.
If this works out, the Bulldogs would matchup with Goodpasture much better if that game were to happen.
I CAN"T WAIT!.. It's gonna be a very nice surprise for all the Milan fans and so encouraging to hear all the cheers again... it should be an awesome night!

Oh please, don't even get me started.. That WAS a clean hit and a very good one... I'm sorry if the boy is hurt and I would really hate it for him if it takes him out of a couple games, but HARD hits are a part of it and since it was clean, there's no need to even be discussing this..

Both team's defenses looked a little less than sharp....Offenses for both were stout. Both teams have some things to work on before the beginning of the season but I will predict that Camden will be putting up alot of points on the scoreboard this year!
You're right... the score was probably 5-5... the defenses didn't look very "sharp" at all...

Great talent? That's going a bit far. Chris Donald is a great talent. Daniel Brooks, Justin Harrell, Patrick Willis, Franklin Payne, etc. were great talents. The Humboldt and Dresden guys are good high school players, but I doubt any of them will end up anywhere bigger than a Lambuth or Bethel. Not that there's anything wrong with that. But, I don't think we should be so cavalier with the word "great."
I agree.. they are definately good players but GREAT, i'm not so sure of... and pre season all-state is a nice honor but your own coach puts your name up so i don't know if i'd consider that GREAT either.....

i dont think milan is going to be as good as everyone puts them up to be but they WILL be good as usual....i think the top 4 will be 1.huntingdon...2.dresden...3.humboldt...4.milan...just my top 4...donald wont let huntingdon have anything else except region title....dresden has valley and hewett...humboldt has a great back in adrian donald and the other good back...and milan will make it back with lydale at qb...best of luck to all of 72a

Looks to me like Milan fans are a little over confindent. You did lose the last game, no matter how good and close you played them, you look the L, so be ready and don't just be lookin forward to the next game cuz Westview's got a good team and if you're not careful, like someone said, all it takes is one missed tackle, one missed fg or pat, and your playoff hopes are over!... May the best team win!

I think it's just halarious that Boyd's not doin so hot this year in the big 2A...and I only say that cuz my friend plays on Boyd's team and harrassed me sayin that Milan would never beat them! Bring it on Josh Nason!!!! Good luck this week tho guys!

Is this really a thread? As much as I would like Milan to beat Westview and Humboldt to beat Huntingdon so we could have a region championship, I'm not holdin my breath!... Huntingdon by a million!

Back in my day was when they still had prayer in school. Gibson County may not be on your prestige list of premier football programs but I gurantee they are at the top of the list of academics. I wonder which one will get you farther in life, a football state title or a academic state title? You know the old saying of "how the mighty will fall", I hope your premier program doesn't stumble Friday night. I think your coaches are a little worried since they've been to two of Gibson County's games already. Maybe they know something about your premier program that you don't and they are a little bit spooked. Could it be the list might be changing? Could it be?
Who cares? We're talkin about football!!!!! But if you must know, some of our starters are in the top 10 of their classes and all of our best players are still playin on the college level which means they had to have the grades to get into college... But whatever

I was wondering if any Milan fans can tell me how the player that got hurt on the last play is doing. I heard it was his knee that was injured. Sounded like he got rolled up. I hate to see any player get hurt. I hope he is ok.
Donzeill Bell is the boys name. He might have torn a ligament in his right knee, but the trainer said he should be back in 1-3 weeks, just in time for our first game hopefully!

Good list but Alcoa does belong in the #1 spot according to me preseason wise, even though I'm a Huntingdon fan. It's because they have much more comming back than Huntingdon. Huntingdon does have some players comming back, just not as much as Alcoa does. I see a rematch in the 2A finals from 2004 in this years state title game. I'd also like to say good luck to all the new teams that have came to 2A. Go Mustangs!

yea, but only if the circumstances are right... but it would be an awesome thing to see.. i think he'll do very well! I've always wanted to see him play defense!
