Well I do know year before last when Waverly had it's 0-10 year, Waverly beat Cheatham County by 21 points in a scrimmage because I was there. Last year I wasn't there but was told that Waverly beat them. Either way at worst was a split and it's not going to be a cakewalk for CC.
Dude, you are clueless about the Waverly/Cheatham scrimmages. Year before last Cheatham put in subs just so Waverly could have a chance to run a play. You might should ask some Waverly players or coaches before running your mouth.

Hey guys. Didn't have anything to do on a Friday, thought I would check playoff scores and ran across this. I think this will be a good competitive region. I don't know much about the larger schools like Creekwood but you would have to think they have the advantage with a larger student population. Now having said that there are two playoff brackets coming out of this region, the AAAA and AAA teams. I too think Camden will be one of the elite of the region as they are well coached and they are very serious about their football. Waverly exposed them a little with the passing this year, but if they shore that up, they will be okay. Harpeth should be good as they led Waverly late in the third period and Stewart County even with a weak schedule, winning breeds interest and success, Waverly better find some meat to replace the line they lost. If they do, they return all their skill players but one. I just don't see anyone running away with this region but you guys that are running Camden down, will see what I'm talking about when the football season rolls around. Oh, by the way, Cheatham County if I'm not badly mistaken, albeit a scrimmage, has lost to Waverly the last two years.
You ARE badly mistaken.

In just gonna tell the truth boys...........this may be the worst district in the state in any class. I know it will be competitive, but the odds of ANY of that crew doing much in the playoffs is slim and none and slim left town.
Now this is a poster who knows football in Tennessee. This post is very accurate. I don't know if it is the worst district but it is at the bottom. The TSSAA did all of these teams a favor by placing them together. Each one of these teams has a chance to beat the other ones, because none of them are just real good compared to the rest of the state. Some have good coaches and some don't. Some have good players and some don't. None have good coaches and good players. I will leave it up to ya'll to figure ot who has what.

creekwood will be the 4a playoff representative. montgomery central should be improved with this new region but creekwood returns everybody from this year's team. 3a will be interesting. waverly and stewart county are coming off of great years where both of their football programs have now been put on the radar. camden is a strong team out west that got upset in the first round of the playoffs. harpeth returns everybody and they will be improved. cheatham county is as solid of a team as there is and they too should benefit from dropping more athletic teams such as lipscomb, giles, marshall, page, and spring hill from their schedule. i will guess right now that cheatham county and camden will be the 3a representatives.
#1 Cheatham
#2 Creekwood
#3 Camden
#4 Harpeth
#5 Montgomery Central
#6 Waverly
#7 Stewart
BOOK IT !!!!

This is a huge game for both teams, what do you think the outcome will be. I think Page takes it!!!!
NOPE
CC 28 OR 35
Page 14 or 21
Could be even higher scoring than that. Cheatham definitely wins. 7 straight playoff berths on the line for CC. CC it seems always beats page in week 10to secure a playoff spot. Tonight will be no different. CC will probably elect to get back in the spread and air it out.

This was a great game to watch... it was a battle the whole way through, between 2 tuff teams.. cw missed an extra point after there first td that proved to be the diffrence when they failed a 2 point conversion. the only thing that i did not like was i thought the refs were a lil to flag happy. [ expecially with the personal foul ] calling a couple on both teams.. but great game
I disagree with 95% of this post.

lets talk about the giles county offensive line
WELL....... what would you like to say about it?

This game has potential for major upset. Obviously DL is the huge favorite. No team in the region has ever even had a chance to beat them in 3 1/3 years. DL will have a couple of region tests this year, and I think this will be one of them. Come on guys, don't always be safe and pick the stud team. Just every once in a while weird things happen in high school football. Friday night may very well be one of those weird nights.

Rico is definately out for this game anyways and from what I understand the rest of the season. Very disappointing for Giles County but we do have receivers who can step up and do the job. #40 is Smiling Torrell Boykins and he does do a good job.
Just want you all to know Giles is geared up for the playoffs this year. Haven't heard a negative from anyone on the team about not winning-they are determined to win every game and get the respect they feel that they deserve. The kids have worked hard all summer long and will not give up easily. Alot of Juniors have been playing football together since Pop Warner and are not used to losing and will give their all.
I have to go with Giles-they are very determined to win state this year, and have the talent to do so.
due to the AP polls and this post: I change my previous prediction.
Giles 68
Cheatham 14

Winner of this game has a leg up in the playoff race. Only three spots available with DL's invitation already having been sent! Cheatham has been the last three years; Giles the last two. I bet it will be a good game. I'm leaning toward the Cubs in what some might consider a minor upset. Cheatham returns more experience and has the homefield. What do you think?
major upset considering talent levels between the two schools
CCCHS 33
Giles 21

What are the Bullsogs chances against the Tigers Friday night? RBS didn't do so well against a weak Pickett Co. team and Gville is 0-2. Will a wounded Tiger be too much for the Dogs? Let's hear from the RBS fans that were so vocal last week.
very close low scoring game

Pretty pitiful to not have seating for the visitors, reflects on the unhospitality of the whole community.
I believe it is the outcome of the game, not the stadium, that has your panties in a wad. Had Gordonsville won you never would have posted this. Everyone knows how that works. Good luck to Gordonsville the rest of the season.

Where are all the old CU Bulldogs?
-
How are things across the pond?
I've been waiting for tonight for a long time.
I can't wait.
I'm going to go with Gville in a close one 21-20.
I believe not that close
Cheatham 35
Gordonsville 14

Station Camp 17-Hendersonville 14.
Station Camp 35
Hendersonville 21
Hollingsworth/Shoenbachler--impressive
Bundy--priceless

I never put much stock into what the Tennessean picks.
Especially in the lower classes.
It seems that they really only pay attention to 4 and 5A.
Murphy Fair Coaches picks as well!
-
Its not that bad.It is a little dark though. Not enough lighting.
P.S
I wouldnt sit in that field on the away side.Rumor has it that BIGFOOT lives there! /unsure.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="unsure.gif" />
Not anymore. Bigfoot used to live there but I think he or she finally died. I saw it on the news so it must be true.
-
That is also what the coaches predicted (as shown in Murphy Fair's Magazine).
Let's just say that the Cubs Nation is hoping that there is something lucky about the #6 /flower.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":flower:" border="0" alt="flower.gif" />
CCCHS it seems is almost always picked 6th. It has been more than six years since they have finished worse than 4th. Let the pickers keep picking and the players keep playing.

Last years game was a close one. Will Station Camp have what it takes to pull it out again this year? What will the score be?
Two products of draw on 3rd and 5+. Go Bulldogs. You all know who you are. Good luck to both teams. Please don't run the draw or run down Tracer's.
-
looks like its going to be a long year for the Defense Tullahoma was throwing the ball everywhere.until they took their QB out he got a little banged up on a almost late hit.Giles co. had Bo Wallace playing corner
Is Wallace really as good as everyone says? He looks huge this year. Maybe should be playing LB instead of DB.
-
I dont think it is so much the regular season schedule that is easy, but once they make the playoffs they have an easy road to the dance. The teams on the other side of the bracket (Pearl Cohn, White House, Fulton, Catholic) play teams that are much better than the teams that DL plays in the playoffs.
Please name some and their accomplishments and their records. Thanks.
-
Stratford is terrible, and Greenbriar was in the state game two years ago...exactly two years ago.Giles Co doesn't play anyone either.
You should do a little research before belittling everyones schedule. You have not even seen any of these teams play. The schedules are not a joke, you are.

I agree with bison4 & TigerGuy on 4-3A & 5-3A for the 2007 high school football season.
Region 6-3A has to be Coach Perry from Bolivar Central /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" />
Why not Coach Finley at CCCHS?
