Thanks coach. Too many of us dwell on the teams that are fat with success, and have been for decades. Thanks for reminding us of the great things that come from participating. Keep up the good work with your young men. I believe that you are making a diffference in their lives.

I don't know how awesome dads morphed into a discussion of moms, but since it did, I'd lke to recognize, belatedly, Margaret Thompson for: Rearing three fine boys with four state championships between them. Raising a fine wrestling manager. And, putting up with Jim, and the rest of us delinquents, for all of these years. And Margaret, I am going to suggest that the boys buy you a new housecoat for Mother's day if you are going to insist on wearing it out in "public". But...since its about awesome dads...here's to you deaddux!

I believe that Green was warned in the first period (someone please correct me if I am wrong) and then encouraged by the official to work several times. No further warnings were made, and obviously no points awarded. In my view, this is even worse officiating than not warning at all. Furthermore, Simmons non-takedown was NOT EVEN close to out of bounds. The assistant ref was AWOL the entire match. On a more positive note, congratulations to Charles Green and his coaches, and I mean it. I learned a long time ago, you better not leave a close match in the hands of the official.

Isn't one of those Carr brothers coaching at Woodford Co KY? A team that usually comes to the Greeneville Tournament. The guy has no neck, and is VERY intimidating.

According to the Chattanooga paper, Bradley qualifies 14. Franklin qualifies 11. Is Bradley a lock to win. It might not be close.

Agree...I watched Durden that year, and still say it was the most dominating performance by a high school wrestler that I have witnessed.

Francis won two state championships while Baylor and McCallie were wrestling in the Mid South. There has NEVER been a four time state champ in TN when all divisions wrestled together.

Has Bateman (FR) wrestled Watkins (ND)? Result? Currently Watkins is ranked ahead of Bateman. My guess is that will ultimately prove to be backwards.
