  1. Good Morning All..... /flower.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":flower:" border="0" alt="flower.gif" />

While we are on the subject I would like to ask an official a question...( if there are any reading this thread...come on now...we know you are lurking out there somewhere.).... /ph34r.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="ph34r.gif" /> ... What are the rules regarding the changing of the footballs during an offensive posession?.. I've been to enough different areas to determine that whatever policy is in place is not consistent from region to region or even county to county.... Also how many different balls are approved by the TSSAA ? ( Brand, Models Ect...)... /blink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="blink.gif" />

Also if any fans have any imput please feel free to chime in..... (You don't have to be a zebra ..... /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" /> )

I am not sure of the offcial rules but i do know that we were allowed to have 6 balls checked and approved by our sideline official, then at anytime we wanted to change the ball on our possesion we were allowed to as long as we asked or said ball change after a play so after the next play it was ready to be changed, or if the offcial asked it was changed.

  2. That was something I never could understand. WHY would your HC at Lebanon want to coach the freshmen too? It seems to me that it would be confusing, and I would get my opponents mixed up for each week! I am sure part of it is to get used to the way Brown runs things on varsity, but seems like extra work for the staff to have to coach both teams and be away from their other obligations to their family or to their teaching responsibilities. Freshmen football is supposed to be fun and with the varsity coaches calling the shots just seems like having that pressure way too soon. Maybe that would account for the low numbers they had on the freshman team?

Believe me if you have ever been at a Lebanon football practice it really isnt confusing or to much extra work for the coaches... and in the years after they are freshmen the guys are ready to handle varsity practice and varsity games.

As to the low numbers of incoming freshmen players, the number has decreased at the middle school level, and I know almost everysingle guy on the team played when they were in middle school, therefore we are where we are now. low middle school numbers=low freshmen numbers....

what you end up with is a slightly smaller varsity team of dedicated passionate players

  3. Lincoln County is famous for their 'good' home field officiating. /smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />

My only suggestion to officials would be to call what you see, and only what you see. Not what you think happened or what you think might happen. For instance, if a ball goes up in the air after leaving the QBs hand, it can't be incomplete until it touches the ground. Another for instance, just because someone is moving in a certain direction or falls down, it does not mean that a player from the other team caused it...unless you actually saw it with your eyes. There is a lot of good acting going on these days and people are taking advantage of the officials' eagerness to throw their flags.

90% of the officials do a great job and should be commended for the job they do.

I do agree with the first post though. Please step up your game as well during the playoffs...nobody wants to see a team's season end due to a bad call from an official. Let the players decide the games.

This one is my favorite! I can say last year 1st round playoffs Lebanon v. LC, I was on the sideline, and Lebanon could have won or lost that game on their own. We did not however need bad call at the end that ruined the game even more for us. By the way I do believe the offical on our sideline did end up deciding that one call imparticular was wrong, at least they can admit it sometimes.

Advice as many have put, dont call what you cant really see!!

  4. Let me say I seriously just love when people start talking about Lebanon. I am not going to lie I havent seen first hand much of the season, yet I do know how all the guys on the team play.

Sallis-before this year has never been a full time starter. Why? He has always been good, ha has always been a leader, however, at Lebanon there were also other players who were good with more experience. Daley has always stepped up when the team needed him and that is why he is good.

Coach Brown- Many would say they hate him, but they dont really. I know many players while when I was there would say it, yet they never meant it. To this day players who havent played at Lebanon in 2 or 3 years say Coach Brown was a great coach. He loves what he does, he has built a program that should be respected even when they dont have a perfect season. Maybe he should stop running the ball so much sometimes, or maybe just not down the middle, but he knows what he can get out of his team and he holds them to a high level of responsiblity. The team knows what they need to do, they just have to do it.

I am looking forward to the rematch against LC, it will be good and as always I count on Lebanon doing there best and moving to second round so I can go watch them play!!!

Good Luck guys, I luv ya

  5. Add to the equation that this is a HOME game for Lebanon and should be Senior night. How will Siegel handle the 'lift'? /dry.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="

the lift thing still! noone talks about that anymore because they know it wont help Lebanon win or lose. It is all on the field!!

We will stomp Lebanon's over-rated butts in the ground. They were done 2 weeks ago when they almost let the murfreesboro Mustangs n5 yr old team ( oakland) come back and beat them. We believe at Siegel! Caleb Harper is going to get more touches this week and you ain't seen anyone as fast as he is.

To this... calm down!!! Lebanon started overrated but they arent anymore, everyone does know however that you can never expect anything from them. You never know what might happen!

And thank you to those actually paying attention to Lebanon players, they have a few big guys who are D1 potential all the way, and receivers need more action, they deserve it, I know they work hard.

  6. Man, Ilove this woman. /flower.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":flower:" border="0" alt="flower.gif" /> Blue Devils role over the cubbies (CUB MEAT). Haven't seen the cubs play this year and I keep hearing crap. Didn't haw lose to kitties. Not rally saying much there my pet. Fork'im high /hungry.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":hungry:" border="0" alt="hungry.gif" />

Glad to hear Im loved. Seriously though Im honest and im not going to make predictions about things that wont happen or arent of any importance at all yet!

  7. Lebanon and Mt. Juliet. Always a good game to watch. It is usually very eventful, good thing its at Lebanon this year so Mt Juliet doent lose on homecoming again... that was a good game though.

As always I supprt the Blue Devils and hope they can pull this one off at home!

By the way Smyrna is not going to the playoffs anymore...

  8. I love this girl /flower.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":flower:" border="0" alt="flower.gif" /> You feel exactly how I feel. Our beloved Blue Devils will rebound and take out the wolves. Fork'im /hungry.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":hungry:" border="0" alt="hungry.gif" />

thanks Im glad to see im not the only person on here who has faith in the guys. Lebanon is and always be my team! Im just sorry Im not on the sidelines like usual.

  9. let me just start with this comment... one loss will not change how Lebanon plays. The guys are tough and a loss will only make them more determined to win. I can say I know for a fact Coach Brown will not allow the guys to waiver after a loss. yes they have only played one region game, yet that is not what determines how the rest of the season will be played out.

I will say it is very premature to be discussing how Lebanon must lose 2 games for Smyrna to be in the clear. Lets get into the season before we start setting the playoffs. However lets get real Smyrna willnot be a state candidate this year.

  10. I expect the game to be close. I havent seen cookeville play, but I know they always have something working right for them. with the history between the teams its always sure to be a good game.

As always I go with my boys at Lebanon, who have made me very proud as of yet. they have the right combination this season ans expect great things.

Good Luck Lebanon wish I was there on the sidelines with you this year.

  11. Lebanon can win IF:

They get to bring their "coaches on the lift" to signal to the sidelines the calls.

They get to bring their infamous "chain Gang ' that signals to Brown what the other team is calling and makes the spot a first down when it is short.

They can get the "baby monitor" in Riverdale's locker room without being seen to hear the adjustments made at half

They can bring their "home cookin" refs to Tomahawk.

    IF they can't= BIG loss

The Blaze "proved" what happens to Lebanon without all of the above.

The Blaze "owns" the devils. Don't play with FIRE because you will get burned.

Let me say that I truely believe that is the biggest load of crap I have heard in a while. Blackman owns no one! And its very apparent that Blackman was not Lebanon's only away game so far. So all of that with the lift, chain gang, and officials sounds like someone whining because their team lost. Get over it, its done with.

By the way thank you firstandgoal. Your right fball cant make up his mind!!

    GO BIG BLUE!!

  12. I think this is going to be one of the best games in the whole season. Lebanon is doing well and showing what they got this year, Riverdale is Riverdale, but not the same Riverdale. I feel it will be a close game all the way through with an upset by Lebanon.

As long as Lebanon keeps their momentum and stays sharp they could easily take this one.

  13. What about the chain gang?

Whats with the chain gang junk??? i honestly think most of you are full of it, stop making things up its just getting old. I mean why keep making stuff up and talking smack. Sorry you cant say anything meaningful.

    Go BLUE all the way.....

  14. is anyone else sick and tired of hearing about the lift because i know i am. it its an old worn out subject of talk.

as for the game this friday, it going to be a good one. the teams are both riding on this game before going into the last 2 games. there is nothing better than a game between 2 teams who are playing their hearts out to do the best they can...

love it, play it, own it. thats all that needs to be done friday night under the lights.....

  15. Being on the sidelines at every single Lebanon game for the past 2 years and still being on the sideline now I would have to say the guys are doing exactly what they are told.

Week 1 loss against Gallatin could have been way worse. I think Gallatin was a little surprised to see what we had.

Week 2- LaVergne was not with the program the entire game. I don't know what was being said on their sideline, but they were not listening to their coach that night.

Week 3- The win over Cookeville proved to be a very good, and interesting game. Granted LHS semmed to slow their pace 2nd half, they held on to the game and didn't let down Coach Brown

I look to see the game with Siegal to be a good one, but I go with Lebanon 31-7.

  16. the only thing i really have to say about the Lebanon-Cookeville game is that even if it was at Lebanon the"lift" would have nothing to do with the win or loss. All teams when at Lebanon have equal opportunity to use the lift, most just say no.

Over all though I look for the game to be a decent matchup and expect Lebanon to take this one.

  17. maybe its just me but has anyone noticed that Lebanons Freshmen team is undefeated??? They beat Riverdales freshmen 40-21. They have 5 freshmen starting varsity. A quarterback and runningback team that is unstoppable, recievers who jump 4 feet in the air to make a catch, and linemen who make anyone hurt.

I look for these guys to be one of the best teams Lebanon has ever had and finally beat Riverdale again by the time they are all juniors.

Freshmen tomorrow against MBA in a bowl game, 730 at LHS (who will have the best freshmen program in the state???)

Varsity Friday against Smyrna, 730 at LHS

  18. Im not saying who I feel is going to win , but i do know that who ever plays better will win. Why some of you are talking trash bout Lebanon I don't know. I see them practice everyday and as long as they are on it tomorrow they will get the job done. Coach Brown is the best coach I know and he doesnt let the guys slack off at all. As about the Springfield scrimmage, we had at least 4 starters that i can think of on the sideline. our starating QB being one of them.

By the way the Riverdale game last season is old news. The guys all played hard and dealt with the elements around them. The score had nothing to do with how they played, I would know I was on the sideline with them. There wer bad calls on both siades, but that was then and this is now. Find something else to talk about.

Come to the game and you will see how it is really going to be.

If you've got anything else to complain about keep it to yourself cuz nobody wants to hear it.

  19. losers make excuses like that. champions only point their finger at themselves for their failures and get back and try even harder, they dont blame it on something like the elements

MAybe thats true but lebanon could of won that game if it wasnt for those biased refs and that rain. If you were at the game you would know that but i doubt that you were so what can you really say?
