I saw the game and agree with you on what you ORIGINALLY said. The game was poorly called and none of the three umpires seemed adequate for such an important game. You must also learn that you cannot speak poorly of any official. They are quite sensitive even though you have said three times that the outcome of the game was influenced. I too agree that they were equally poor for both teams. I assume they came from Nashville. That association is thin on quality umpires.
They were from Columbia but they did not cost mt.juliet the game, and talk about not being adequate for such a game, I would say that Mt.Juliet was defenately in over their heads... Everyone heard all year how great Mt. Juliet and Beech was!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!11 maybe for their district they were good teams. However, in the district with overton, franklin, ravenwood, brentwood they would have finished about 5th and 6th in that district....

Well back to the topic I think that two of the best umpires in Middle TN are John Lashley and Rick Eaton. Sorry, if the names are spelled wrong but if you've ever had them you'll know who Im talking about. Very profesional and do a great job.
Professional that is first and foremost what makes a good umpire.
Umpires take five minutes before each game which you are making 55$ a pop and clean your shoes and equipment. LOOK professional... And Just call strikes strikes and balls balls....The best umpires are the ones that go unnoticed./..

I found out last night at Page that Spring Hill was the team that dropped out. This has affected Page's schedule along with some others. Page will now play only 3 games. Does anyone have the revised schedule for all the games for all the teams or where I can find it? Also, how will be teams that play in the championship game on Sat. at 7:00 be determined if some teams only have 3 games instead of 4? Thanks.

Can we say HUGE!!!!!! crowd. Just some heckling from the student sections that filled up every seat in the bleachers. Awesome atmosphere. Thanks to the fans that showed up and make sure you all show at the WOOD in 2 weeks for the rematch. Great weather to play today. Waverly beat Houston Co. 10-5. Warren bigfly. Is there a clearinghouse for game results? Many teams don't report to the Tennessean (middle TN teams) or to CoachT. Do they report to TSSAA?
Here is what happens Alot of teams report, for instance we report every game, however for some reason the Tennessean choices not to put the score in the paper or, if you are a rual area school and the printing time for your paper is at 10:00 it may not get in but if you live in Brentwood teh score may be in the paper. Example lets say that Summertown get over and reports at 10:15, their score may not be in the tennessean that goes out to Lawrence County but if the paper in Mt. Juliet would have the summertown score in there.. It has happen to us already this year, not in the paper we get but a friend of mine lives north of nashville and it is in their tennessean..

I hate to burst your bubble, but Marshall County played their JV (second string) against Hickman County when they knew they had the #1 seed wrapped up. In the other games MC
beat Collinwood 8-2
Richland 11-1
Lawrenceburg 8-5 (gave up 4 in the last inning from walks)
and Collinwood 9-5 (in the pseudo championship)
Actually the bubble is not bursted as Hickman County ran most of their JV out against Marshall County also... That was Hickman County's 4th or 5th best pitcher.. I bet both varsity teams would be a great matchup, ask Giles County about that one... anyways Best of Luck

My vote would go to coach George from Marshall county or Coach Smith from DL, however this is something that gets overlooked. here is great coaches eventhough they may not have rings.

Hey tigerettegirl+1, go to cheerleading practice or something. If you are in such denial because the honorable William Johnson told you that he wasn't interested then you are in for a huge rude awakening. Johnson told voiceofrockets that he wasn't interested in the job yet he takes and interviews with Scott Brunette for the position the day of the All-Region Banquet two weeks ago. I might eventually be wrong about William Johnson being the guy at Pearl-Cohn but everything that I've posted has been absolute fact as far as it relates to him being involved in the coaching search. All you folks can do is get defensive because something negative is being said about your boy. If Johnson had no interest in the Pearl-Cohn job whatsoever he'd step up like a man and say that he's not interested. That would be much better than playing these childish games and lying to the people in the town that actually do support you. He'd deny all of the reports that have appeared in the news in plain 'ole black and white regarding his status in the Pearl-Cohn search. Why doesn't he deny anything???????? The reason is probably because of the fact that he loses much more credibility by lying to folks in the Nashville media than he does by lying to a few of the so-called "supporters" down there in Lewisburg.
The best line of all was when someone said that William Johnson actually drove to Nashville a few weeks back to meet with Maurice Fitzgerald and officially drop out of the running for the Pearl-Cohn job. Anyone who still believes that pile of garbage deserves to have the stuffings kicked out of them

LOOK IT UP.... All I said was he is a wing t coach, I will not discuss names, I know for a FACT he is high on their list, I will not give his name out of RESPECT for him. Catfish that is twice this week you have misread one of my post, I do agree with you on WJ, however I feel it is a slap in my face when you do not READ my post then go putting words in my mouth, and then telling me what to post... You just keep up with yourself fish!!!!

The folks in Lewisburg need to worry less about the guy who left a year ago and worry about the guy who's about to be leaving very soon. For a guy who's "not interested" I sure have been hearing and reading his name in the paper quite a bit of late. HE'S GONE!!!!
I was not referring to Mac when I said the folks in Giles will love the wing t.... I have an underdog in the hunt, and I believe the folks at giles will really like him.. This will be a huge hire not because he is a household name but becuase he will be.... similar to the pearl situation as people may not have heard of him yet, but soon enough they will......

Marshall County should be tough, but with Lintz as the Ace and Senior pitchers Kevin Shorey and Shane Hobbs should do some damage also!!! Shane Hobbs had a solid performance this past summer, he pitched very well in the state tournament and was one of the main reasons the Marshall County Dusters were Runner-up in state tourney!!! I really hope the fire stays in them this year!!! All i know is that Coach George, Coach Steve, and Coach Monk Reese have the boys out in cold weather every chance they get!!! I hope it will pay off..GOOD LUCK TIGERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I sure hope the Marshall county coaches just have the PITCHERS AND CATCHERS out in the cold weather everyday considering that it is illegal to practice until next week, and I know the boys in Lburg would not break the rules... Great post way to self report a violation..... do not be suprised when the TSSAA calls Marshall County high school by Friday...

Hickman has actually changed and Swenson has went to the shotgun spread this year, sometimes leaving an empty backfield, They may throw the thing 25 times tonight...... Defensively they are still in their 3-3-5 stack... That is just what I know from watching some of their practices and 30 min of their scrimmage....
