  1. I'm surprised it is taking this long. I was told a week ago that it was down two people. Someone even told me that it would be nice to hire both one as the Head Coach the other as a coordinator/assistant head coach in a coach in waiting type of deal. So who knows.

Nothing will be announced till after the holidays.

  2. I am pretty sure Sequatchie's starting offense has 1 turnover in the last four or five games, and that was an interception in the last 30 seconds of the first half against Bledsoe-just throwing deep late to maybe get in field goal range. Knock on wood, that continues through the rest of the season.

Sequatchie had their first lost fumbles of the year Friday and I believe have 2 INTs this year

    Sequatchie/Bledsoe tie

  4. Scout, the Warriors are playing well right now but let's not get too cocky! The competition level has not been top notch either. The Warriors will get their first true test next week vs. Sequatchie Co. We will have a better idea about how good the Warriors are after that one. Good luck and keep it up.

I agree anyone can put up points against less than average progams. If Bledsoe had played anyone at all this would be impressive. I believe next week will tell us all we need to know about Bledsoe Co. But, they still dont advance out of the first round of the playoffs, cant play with the likes of Alcoa, CAK, Loudon,or Austin East

  5. ...Since the AP voters might look at this thread, I'll put in a plug for the 3A 3-2 Tyner "Rams"......Tyner has out-gained every opponentwith and average of 415.0/179.0, has a 1st-down average of 19-9, and averaging 37.2 points-per-game...all schools are in a higher class/divison: Ooltewah(AAA), Baylor/McCallie(Division II), Hixson/E.Hamilton(4AA)...if we don't get in the poll, that will be ok...we will continue to cruise under the radar!!! B)

I agree Coach T and the Ram Train should be in the top 10, probably at #10 instead of Bledsoe Co. who hasnt played anyone except 1A Coalfield.

  6. SC fans better get there early in order to get a decent parking spot. Also you guys better have some cash ready too they charge for the parking. If you get there after its filled up like I did last year you might have to take a long stroll through a non lighted trail through the woods. Other than that, I hope both teams play well without any injuries. Dont really have a dog in this fight, so good luck to both.

i agree there is absolutely no parking or lights. And the fact that you must pay to park is rediculous, take a hint like other schools, and ask for donations. Also with all the room on the campus, the design of the facilities and parking is awful. I was very disappointed when i vistited last year

  7. Has everyone forgot that speed kills? #2 and #44 for Sequatchie have more than enough to turn every friday against valley teams (excluding SP) into a highlight film. This is for a playoff spot and should be a very hard fought game. Grundy has an outstanding line and there QB is very talented. The question is can Grundy keep the ball away from Sequatchie enough. I believe 31-28 Sequatchie.

  8. I believe the edge goes to Bledsoe in this one just because of Marion Co. youth. But i was very disappointed with Bledsoe's performance against Coalfield. Also i must agree that the field is in the worst shape i have ever seen it, and that it brings a smile to my face about the annoucer lol. He is by far the most biest i have ever heard.

  9. Big scrimmage on July 30th against White Co. and Trousdale Co. @ White Co. Should be a real good test especially for a very young line. This year should be interesting, if this new line can be affective then with the speed thats in the backfield, this team has a very good chance of the best finish in quite some time.

  10. This game will not be a blowout and both of these teams will be serious contenders in playoffs next week.

Sequatchie will not be a serious contender, Bledsoe will not be a serious contender, and it depends on who central gets round one whether or not they win a game in the playoffs.

    I agree, doc.

I must agree not taking anything away from either team, cause they're both having great years, but the competition isnt there. Sequatchie has one win over a team with a winning record (Marion 6-4) other than that nobody. They did win the games like they r suppose to but that doesnt give the players the experience of a playoff game. Tonight will show wheter or not Sequatchie makes a run into the playoffs.

  11. I think this will be close if 1. Sequatchie turnovers- last friday was the second game lost because of fumbles. 2. Sequatchie's offense- the power run was there all night against bledsoe, then the runs started goin outside. And 3. Sequatchie pass defense- The play acton kills. Sequatchie wins big if they keep the offense simple and dont make mistakes.

  12. Trash talk aside......isn't it nice to know that someone besides TYNER is going to win the district this year.....and for the first time in along time i think EVERY TEAM IN THE SEQUATCHIE VALLEY could make the playoffs............GO BIG BLUE!!!!!!!!!!!!

Let's not get ahead of ourselves. Whitwell is still part of the valley...

I wouldnt put whitwell down yet they may be the surprise team this year. And even if bledsoe has won 2 of the last 3 meetings, Sequatchie has won 8 of the last 10, and bout 6 weren't even close. I think sequatchie wins 27-13 with the return of #40
