  1. I had the opportunity to have Coach Maxwell as an assistant coach on my AAU middle school squad. I am now playing college ball. If I could re-do highschool I would have followed Coach Maxwell anywhere, just to have the opportunity to play for her. She is an awesome role model and great woman, not to mention a great coach!

  2. I don't know..she is a great player but didn't have her best game last night....she was struck out twice by Junior pitcher Lady Raider Kristin Swan last night...awesome pitching and awesome hitting lady raiders!!

Even Barry Bonds strikes out /dry.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="

  3. I think that Erica Duke has to be the front runner. I wouldn't count out Lamb from Shebyville, Boyd from Lawrenceburg, or Clark from Columbia. These are all girls that you have to pitch around in order to beat them. You can throw McCormick in to the mix as well. Jones is the only dominant pitcher in the district, she should get Pitcher of the year hands down.

    Go Shelby Lamb! /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" />

  4. We have had two failures of the 33" 2008 RocketTech...I won't buy any more of them. My 2007s are holding up fine and my girls LOVE them.

    Coach Strange

Just curious. What kind of failures? So I can look for it.

  5. 03-04 were the hot ones(black and red) 05 was the first year after ASA told Rocket tech to calm them down. 07 bats were decent, but don't know anyone swinging the 08. Looking to buy a new one and just wanted some input about the 08. Thanks for your reply to the post.

    I'm loving the 08 Rocketech.Very nice.

  6. lol!! Yeah you are right about Collinwood having an off night..but I'm not upset about district..I'd rather take 2nd in district and be able to continue on in the tournaments any day of the week..I do however hate the loss for Abbie and Leslie, who are great players. They will have a success in college I'm sure. As for Morris all I can say is he is obviously full of himself..for example pressing on mt. pleasants girls in the 3rd quater when ur up by 35+ is pretty sorry.. no wonder he didn't get coach of the year w/ the best team...No one can stand him. I hear I'm not the only one who feels this way..from what I heard he treated Abbie like a red-headed step child.

/smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" /> yea I don't understand that pressing thing either when your up by so much and playing such a bad team. That, I do understand what your talking about /smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />

  7. Way to go Moore County! I guess Coach Morris is eating a little humble pie tonight...maybe he will lose a bit of his arrogance now.

I think someones just a little upset they were beat in district championships by a very well coached team, which happened to have an off night tonight. Then again I'm not surprised you think this, considering your a 'waynecofreak.' /dry.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="

  8. Class A Miss Basketball is definitely going 2 b Abby Andrews. She has had a wonderful career!! & is the only senior... & definitely deserves it! Good Luck 2 all the nominees 4 the award & n tournaments.

    Go Trojanettes!!! /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" />

I sure hope Abby gets the award this year! She is very deserving as well as the other young ladies, but she is a senior and just a great all around girl /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" />

  9. Everyone is entitled to their own opinions, but some of you can say some of the most stupid things I have ever heard of!!!

1st of all to set the record straight-LaTeira does not live with Janay's parents. She lost her adopted mother in Nov. of 06 and Janay's uncle and aunt stepped up and opened their doors to her. She wasn't raised in the home, but she did need a place to go and to be loved. Obviously you have no idea about who these people are, so you need to be careful about what you say about people you don't even know. You couldn't ask for better people than Ricky T and Vanessa Armstrong.

As far as LaTeira's parent or parents threatening the Coach, that too will come to light. Everybody wants to talk about how excellent of a Coach they have, but have no idea what goes on in practices or the locker room. That too will come to light!!!

Yes there has been some success at CHS in the last 5 years, but I wouldn't give all that credit to the Coach either. If you have the talent sometimes it doesn't matter who your Coach is-the team makes the Coach look good!!!

Western Kentucky is looking forward to LaTeira coming there and are very much aware of the things going on at CHS!

    Way to sum it up perfectly /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" />

  10. If I were the coach of Western I don't know if I would want someone who quit, especially this late in the season. It sounds like she got her scholarship and quit caring about her team.

It was not a matter of not caring. It was something that she made up her mind about because she thought it was best. I'm sure it was not easy for her to quit. She's a great girl.

  11. may be wrong, but i think 1267 was displaying a little SARCASM. and yes, ur correct--he is talented, but he looks kind of like shaq out on the perimeter--out of place.....although he is a decent outside shooter, he would be near unstoppable in class A ball if he wasn't allowed to leave the paint

The reason he's on the perimeter so much is because of him playing that position next year in college. Zion would win more games though if was inside in the paint because he is the tallest guy in the district. He is on the perimeter though to much. Also it appears as if zion's wings rarely give him the ball down low when he is posted up, which probably frustrates him, so therefore he feels like he can be in more control being on the wing.
