  1. I am a firm believer in close moderation of the topics posted. I want this site to stay clean and readable for people of all ages. However, I don't understand why this one was closed. Was someone being attacked or what? Did I miss something?

think they have narrowed it down here in the last few days...we should be getting closer to a decision.....no real information at this point

  2. To all you nay'sayers out there Matt Dotson had an outstanding night against Brentwood. He finished the night with 29pts 16rebs and 11assists in a win over the Bruins. He really played a complete game dominating the boards and dishing off when he was double teamed. I can really say that Dotson is a total package, not many 6'8" guys can handle the ball and dish it off along with tremendous touch like Dotson.

  3. I was watching the Riverdale/Franklin game on TV Saturday night & the cameras zoomed in on Rankin right before kickoff in the second half. Rankin proceeded to pull out a can of Skoal or Copenhagen & put in a dip. It is against the rules for coaches, players and game officials to have any tobacco on the sidelines. I have seen many times where cameras zoom in on him like on highlights of their games on Friday & he always has a dip in. Does he think this rule dont apply to him? Did anyone notice this? I umpire college baseball & we have strict rules about tobacco. I also like to put a dip in. I would never put a dip in while I am umpiring & I do not allow coaches or players to dip either. Any opinions on this? Rankin, if you read this leave your dip can at home or in your office, you are breaking the tobacco rule.

I didnt see this but I definitely heard the news. Rankin thinks he can do whatever he wants and I guess he really can. Something should be done about this. Dont you think Cleveland must be willing to reach deep into their pockets to even get interest from Rankin....Riverdale will have to match....Rankin knows this thats why this happens every year.

  4. I don't think Keaton is a realistic option.  He couldn't coach his way out of a wet sack.

I heard from an "inside" source that there have been over 30 applicants....men from Georgia, Arkansas, Mississippi, Minnesota yes Minnesota, and of course Tennessee....I feel for the program down there in Centerville.....I hope they do things right and hurry the process up.....the way it sounds they have a good group to choose from.....Hopefully Wayne county isn't an option

  5. I agree with HBC21 Especially with #5, but here's a couple more

    1. Jeremy Lyons----DCA---then state championship record 298 rushing yards in a game

    2. Clint Brown---Westmoreland

    3. Kelcy Williams---Humbolt---FB was Toby Champion

    4. Gerald Turner---Portland

    5. Troy Flemming---BGA---#2 in all time high school rushers

    6. Mario Frazier---Hickman Co.---over 1900yds rushing as a junior 30 tds and 2500 AP yards---finished with over 6000 AP yards and 55 tds great for small town baller

  6. Then that is the fault of the average football fan.  I've used the Jackson Sun and the Commercial Appeal all season for info on W. Tenn teams.  E. Tenn teams are even better covered with many small town newspapers that have web sites.  BTW, congrats to all of the Mr. Football winners, especially my cousin, Mark Thompson, from DCA.

As former Mr. Football finalist I agree that it is hard for small town teams to get the publicity that the big cities get. Especially if you are on an average team.

  7. Are you sure?

only an assistant left, Chuck Daniel is the head coach, Anthony Crabtree, left for the Beech job. They are both good coaches and I think Crabtree will be awesome for Beech
