Both games will go to 15-A, no offense but the other district just isn't as good as the two from 15-A.........JCS is the best team in the region with little to worry bout, but they did get beat last year by Adamsville in the final after beating them 4 previous times, history could repeat itself...and it could also go the opposite way with the other district sweeping but I doubt it

Preston Sloan of Adamsville hit number 14 yesterday against Riverside and number 15 today against JCS

Sloan has hit less than 5 homeruns at Adamsville.....and if your talking about big power all i saw was three hit by JCS and those were 2 by taylor who hit one against Adamsville at JCS....and an opposite field homer by wood....give credit when it needs to be.... The TSSAA once again didn't use its available resources and tried to solve everyones problem. We hear all the time that less than 3% of all high school athletes play in college. So really the last possible level that 97% of its participants play in is the TSSAA, so if you have something as great as high school athletics why not make people, students, parents, make the decision. If you commit to play on the high school level and be involved with a TSSAA member school, then you commit to that institution. If you play or want to play in a state tournament or be a part of a state championship team you won't be on a AAU team, or a USSSA baseball or softball team. Decide on when the dead periods are give them to the schools, if you get word these periods are not being followed get in the car drive down and find out, and if they are being violated tell the schools to handle the problem or they won't be a TSSAA member much longer. Remember high school athletics doesn't make a school but one thing that a school won't mess with is coaches that put their athletics in jepordy. Just like the commercial says "Membership Has It's Priveledges."

Since everyone knows the Brown's so well, what are their intentions? Will they stay in Dyersburg so his kids will be able to finish school and maybe earn some playing time under another coach and prove they just may be able to play a little, or will they leave. I know he probably won't be able to find another job since he is such a terrible coach. The AA district that just won it's 4th consecutive state championship, was dominated by Brian Brown's McNairy Bobcats in the late 80's and early 90's, so to say he can't coach isn't the problem. Unrealistic expectations probably are. If the kids that are so good that live in Dyersburg, can't be disciplined, they will never have what it takes to win on the state level. So if parents and boosters and AAU coaches don't let kids and coaches develop relationships and quit filling their heads with things that aren't team oriented, and unrealistic their will be more Brian Brown type people leaving this profession. I do know unless you get a Rudesill or Sisco, coach Brown will still have won more district and regional and sub state championships than his replacement. I bet if Rick or Shane read coach T they can't wait to get to Dyersburg and get started.

West TN schools looking for coaches: JCS, Dyersburg,Lexington.

I think as of right now the only sport in which JCS will move to the AA level will be in Football, basketball and baseball will remain the same. Same situation as Huntingdon, Adamsville and Riverside.

Having seen Westside on a couple occasions let's enlighten everyone about these guys. Everyone here respects how good the Middleton basketball tradition is, and that they are usually very skilled with great athletes. Westside IS, no doubt the quickest and most athletic team in the Class A tournament. This doesn't mean they will win it but no one will be able to guard them man to man. Middleton was not only one step slow against them but usually two or three. They do tend to shoot to many 3's but if they get the lead and spread the floor and you have to guard them from mid court to the rim, they will make lay-ups all day. They will play with a ton of emotion since this is the last yr for the school but understand that with the competition they play throughout the season they shouldn't be intimidated by anyone. If you play them at 10:30 get a good nights rest because if your not ready to play you could be on the bus headed home before lunch.

So I guess all the predictions about the UC Dynasty were shattered tonight, and someone forgot to tell Trenton that Lake County was the next best team still playing in Tennessee. So all LC fans and UC fans show all that class and support for this region and your district and come back and buy a ticket and watch Humboldt and Trenton play for the right to play Middleton and Memphis Westside. It's amazing how fast we want to crown someone the next great dynasty when we forget that UC only made it to the Boro last season because of a ghost timeout call after a 10 second back court call at Middleton that allowed them the opportunity to hit a last second shot just to get to the state. Remember Middleton has as much right to claim a dynasty as anyone and they are still playing. So let's hear everyone crown the next dynasty. I know the kids at Liberty hope you don't start calling them the next great thing.

When you take those kind of beatings just understand you are out of your league and the other team is just better. Remember if you are still trying to win the game and have your starters in and are pressing trying to get back in it, the opposing coach has a obligation to his team and players to try to win. Todays game is so different than 10 yrs ago with the # of kids that can shoot the three that 20 isn't as big a lead as it used to be. And many times when you play Liberty and only get beat 20 you probably played pretty good.

how can u call Liberty unsportsmanlike? i was at the game and the most unsportsmanlike thing i saw the whole night was done by Mcnairy... Liberty was the home team yet sat on the away bench and started the game on the away end.... that was the most unsportsmanlike thing i have ever seen.....you may host the tourny but if your the five seed then sit where a lower seed should as a visitor not as the home team

there is no benifit to playing your first round region game in middleton....

Adamsville will get spanked? lol thats a good one....this is coming from a guy who has made all of 2 post on here, and how can you say we will get beat by 25? YALL lost to Chester Co......we beat them by nearly 20 and Central didn't hand it to us the first time what was it 7 points? yea a real spanking

Got to see Liberty play at the Forum on Monday and even though they played bad they were never really threatened in the game. The only team in Memphis that could have beaten Liberty on Monday had Steve Nash running the point. Liberty will roll to Murphy Center.

The cardinals should dominate this game.

I would like to comment on the question on A. Knight, i think it is pretty sry that Central was worried more about his eligiblity that they were of Wayne Chism, and Madden from Bolivar who is in the same district as them,im positive that it wouldn't even come up if he moved in and went to Central. And about us still playing weaker teams than you...say if we were in your district we would finish no worse than fourth this year where you have finished for the past several years, we've beat Chester Co. tied Bolivar,lost to yall missing over TEN point blank layups and over TEN free throws and with Knight missing most of the first half ...so if our schedule is so weak how come we beat the same teams yall do? ill give it to yall, you won but don't think you beat us at our best...

Why does everyone have to get on here and talk crap? I haven't seen any basketball players get on here talking crap about it..It's just the fans doing it. Adamsville didn't play as well as they could. I'm sure Mcnairy didn't play as well as they could either. So all the fans on here need to quit dissing the players from both teams. If you are not on the court i really don't think ya'll have a right to cut down the players and the teams. This site is not a site for trash-talking. People are always giong to make excuses. But I'm sure the trash-talking won't stop. We will just wait and see waht happens in january.

A good question. How many players on Adamsville's team live in Adamsville? The recruiting machine lives on at AHS. You do not want to break a tradition of many years.

 

I'm sure a few of the Class A schools are going to check to make sure one of the AHS players is eligible. That's the word on the coaching grapevine.

Well... when you have to send in the papers to TSSAA and they come back and say he is eligible, i'm pretty sure that means he can play.

Mckenzie beats TCA 45-42..TCA drops to 4-1

First off, TCA talks all this crap about how they are going to beat adamsville this year. IT AINT GOING TO HAPPEN!! As for Mckenzie, they will get a rude awakening when adamsville gets to their gym on friday. We will find out how TCA squares up against adamsville after that!
