  1. Tradition??? Clarkrange has won 7 state championships and has been in the state tourney 18 times. If it's tradition that wins games then CR wins hands down. Of course it's not. It's whoever scores the most points.

i never said that tradition "WINS" games, i only said that it would FAVOR Bradford judging from the success coming from 14A in the last 10 years, however, u do make a logical argument, Clarkrange has the gold balls (one to the expense of us), however, of course I have to root for Bradford here haha

  2. It seems as if GC sings the same ole' song each and every year, a stellar regular season and a lackluster first round performance that sends them packin... I'm still in shock over that first round exit following that undefeated 30 somethin win season...each year I read posts on here that count GC out before they even travel up I 40 and I hope they're wrong but lately they haven't been...maybe GC is simply not built for post season play in the boro now...

  3. if CR is anything like I've seen in the past, they should simply overpower a good Bradford team, but Bradford is playing great ball right now...hopefully they can bring the gold back to our region once again, since 1998, region 14A has produced 6 state championships (Bradford: 98,2000; Gleason: 1999,2007; Peabody: 2003, 2005) and 1 runner-up (Peabody: 2004) so tradition favors Bradford here...

  4. Here we go again. Unfortunately for GP. It is going to be sad the beat down that they are going to take on Friday. It could get really ugly. Words cant describe how fun it is to continously ruin GPs season. They are dreading the trip down to the boro I can guarantee it. I think if Rankin doesn't call off the dogs Alcoa will be able to pick the score that they want to win by. If DCA be GP for any reason then I will promise you that the only way GP could win would be a miracle. I bet they are getting tired of seeing so many silver balls in that trophy case. Well they better make room for one more. Maybe the best thing for GP to do would be to go up to 3a where they might have a chance at winning. Wait a second that wouldn't work either because Fulton from EAST TENN is in 3a. Well I hope that you guys can get used to winning the silver balls because for the next 3 years you all will be in the same position (second place). Gosh it must be frustrating being from GP. The turf field is just a nightmare for GP. The speed of the Tornadoes is amazing and on turf WOW. Cobb will have 3 touchdowns passing, one running, and maybe an interception. Hodge will have minimum 2 TDs and Thompson 2 picks and 2 TDs. I cant wait for the rest of the state to get to see how good we are this year and how dominate once again we will be. I cant wait until friday and go TORNADOES.

ps. sorry for all the trash talk but I have had negative experiences with the people and players from GP

dang, im sorta glad its GP playin Alcoa and not Peabody!! lol

  5. I think milan would have made a bigger showing than trenton in that game, but whats done is. And tonight its done for trenton.

hahaha i was HOPING one of u milan fans would get on here and rant about "milan would have put more of a fight than trenton", well milan i can't remember who put u guys out of the playoffs, oh wait, it was TRENTON!!! I promise, if yall couldn't stop our rushing attack, there is no way in the world yall could have stopped GP's. As for the game, "WOW", thats all I can say, I dont think i've seen a team that good in a long time (granted i've never seen Alcoa either). GP's talent level is jus way above our heads along wit everyone else in region 8 2A, I have to admit. If this game was played tom, or next fri it would have the same outcome. Congrats PEABODY on a great season wit a climax last week at milan, I have enjoyed comin to every game. I am definitely gonna miss kendal and the rest of the seniors!! ROLL TIDE 08'

  6. I went to the game last nite ,and I saw film on the camden peabody game. Dont believe this one will be close..cougars win this on big

you gotta be kiddin me!!! the peabody/camden game was over 10 weeks ago...this is a TOTALLY different peabody team from back then!!!

  7. Carver brought a pretty good crowd to Bolivar earlier this year and why should they make the game comfortable for the other school how do they benefit

I heard that Carver actually lost money last friday and can't afford to rent out Crump Stadium; this is not really much of Peabody tryin to get the game moved more than it is Carver simply can't find a stadium...

  8. Trenton needs to hop in their little bus and go play the Cobras in Memphis. This is the playoffs.

Find Elvis Presley Blvd. and take a right at Whitehaven High School. /flower.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":flower:" border="0" alt="flower.gif" />

    Cobras by 6 /popcorneater.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":popcorneater:" border="0" alt="popcorneater.gif" />

I wouldn't mind goin to memphis myself, i actually like our chances better if we go to memphis; we have played tremendously better on the road with some key wins at humboldt and jackson christian

  9. Well even though I do hope that Trenton wins the game handily, take this bit of advice. Contain Kendal Harper! If you can do that, you can have a chance. When we played them in Week 1 we figured that out in the 2nd half and that's when the lions turned it around and took a win home to Camden. With that said, I will say that Trenton will win this game. Sorry Rebels, but you guys talk like you just won the Super Bowl because you beat Bruceton. I hope for a clean, injury free game.

    Trenton 35

    McKenzie 14

was that the game that they actually stopped for about an hour and then restarted?

  10. Yes that is true, one of our running backs (Darius Norris) did indeed quit the team following last week's game...supposedly he thought that he didn't get the ball enough in the close lost to camden...but we still have power running back tomias johnson in the backfield so we should be ok......ROLL TIDE!!!

  11. Finals last year, Semi's this year with the youngest team around, I believe Jackson County has something to be arrogant about. Gleason shows up once every 9 years. Shut up.

i think gleason would have been back to state sooner if they weren't in the same district as peabody during our run, the state championship was actually held in gleason durin regionals in 2005, whoever won that game would have clearly won the championship, but gleason also lost a couple other times to peabody i believe in elimination games....
