I can guarantee im not on there, I've only had this account since 2005, it's the only one I've ever posted on, and will be the only one I ever post on.

I'd love to know who those guys were during the Bryant tenure. They rode Nick ten times harder than people does Casey.

Exactly!!!!! Great post.....Also the ones on here bashing Bryant was Tate himself. If you go back and look at the old forums those 3 or 4 posters never ever post anymore. A coincidence I think not.  The difference in Bryant and Tate (besides winner and  integrity) is Bryant had all the main people who can pulled the plug against him and SOMEHOW TATE HAS THEM ON HIS SIDE!!!

Same think they prove than worth because they played football. Not sure if Coach Tate or assistants are on Coach T but I do think several read these which should be a big no no. When did the Bryants lose by 3 when they were picked to lose by 4 TDs? And now after the fact you guys want to say Grundy should of won? Where were these predoctions two days ago? BSwhite, Im sure you played lots of ball and Im sure your mission is to see Grundy do well, its very obvious what your intentions are. The Bryants had there chance and had some good talent. 5-5 was under achieving with Rheas, Nolans, Bramhalls, and Cleeks.

Your exactly right man. I'm so proud of you for getting what you wanted. I know your enjoying this than. Btw... Bryant's era schedule and district was brutal compared to know. ND, Signal Mtn, Marion, and SP plus the one year Silverdale was 10-0. I may be wrong but I don't think we backed down from playing MC schools and I don't think they had anyone transfer. The Bryant era is over and it's a shame that I'm on here doing this but I'm only doing it for you and Brev for making his tenure miserable on here.

They had it rough against a good SP, Marion,and Watertown team. Squatch proved Dekalb was "bad" team last week by their 17 point victory. Grundy plays them tight when all of the "experts" are saying they will get beat by at least 4 TDs and true to form yall bash Tate. You people are Grundys problem. Pathetic

The Big 8 does need to go. It has out dated itself. There's several decent players and a few good coaches but all of those could keep together for a nice middle school team. But that being said with all this 7-12 grade talk, two high schools, and middle school. It's still all relies on one common topic... a good coach. I'm sure our administration would eventual mess the middle school too so we would be stuck with the same problem we have now. GET COACHES THE KIDS WANT TO PLAY FOR!!!!

 

I only brought it up because of mentioning the 2 schools and how the south would always beat the north end. I am far from the problem on that mountain I assure you of that. The high school is in the center of the county, so all ends should benefit. I don't need any congrats, but all the kids of Grundy no matter North, South, East or West deserve a great quality coach that is a winner on and off the field. They don't have that right now. I've always said when we had a great middle school team Derryl Graham was why as a coach. It shows now. Casey might be a good guy...I think different, but he can't win.

There is a reason the kids here doesn't want to play. If you go out and get embarrassed every time you suited up wouldn't you look for something else better to do than waste your time? Look at Marion and South Pittsburg, both have more kids dressed on the sidelines and both are smaller schools. Could it be because they are winning programs? I'm tired of hearing about the old GCHS field also and two high schools in this county. You might want to stop and think about what your wishing for there people. Think for a minute where the majority of your athletes are coming from. Your summer league baseball programs that are winning what town are they from? Your basketball teams within county are winning more from where? I say keep preaching then you will be in worse shape than we already are. Fact is people support winning teams, they don't support losing teams.

There's the problem right there. Yes your right the north end is more dominate right now but that will revive around like it always has. It's happened before and it will happen again. But the dang North end always wanted the South to fail and love it when they do. The South could give a dang about how many Big 8 titles North or Swiss has or heck even Tracy or Monteagle. But the North got what they wanted in the high school out there so now enjoy. But thanks for that post because you are the problem with this county. Congrats.

I mean this with no disrespect towards our current football staff but Grundy is gonna be Grundy until administration changes. We are know that. They have bite off more then they can chew. I hate it for our children but it is what it is.

Maybe Grundy should start trying to model what Marion County schools do. Say what you want but they have two schools that are doing it on and off the field. Hearing South Pitt's academics has really become top tier of late.

Birddog I'm so far from the "family" it's not even funny. The only thing funny is how sorry our program has become. What I meant earlier was yes Tate wanted the job and they hired him but they would've hired him either if he didn't want it because he's in the "family". You know the ones that had several board member before this last election.

Grundy doesn't need to drop the Marion County schools... That isn't teaching our kids anything...Our problem starts way before Coach Tate...The "Family" got their people in so now let's just deal with it.

If you want to look at it from an educational standpoint than close our current high school because it's a joke on that standpoint. But like I said a few weeks about the two schools deal. We would still have same director and board and there's your main problem. I think Jackets86 was looking at it from an athletic stand point at the moment. We all know it's a pipe dream. Probably should have been done in 97 when they built the other school.
