This is what happens when kids from all over the state can choose what school they want to play for.  It’s like college recruiting.

I know right!! Its amazing that so many of them have grandfathers, dads, brothers, and cousins that travelled that far too just to play at Alcoa. You wouldnt believe what tallent there is from Alcoa and Maryville. It starts with discipline and good coaches at the younger ages. You cant wait til high school and try to win championships.

  2. Comment on that sight said Alcoa was afraid to move to 4A.I know they will play any 4A team! The question you must ask is why wont any of the 4A schools schedule them? If you will think back a few years...a lot of those 4A teams were going to move to 5A  to stay out of Alcoa’s class. Alcoa ended up staying in 3A because they didnt want a 4 team region in 4A after everyone moved up. As I kind of mentioned earlier, having to find 6 non region teams to schedule Alcoa would have been almost impossible!

Alcoa will not move up lol. They are in love with having 6a talent and playing a 3a schedule. Might get beat every now and then in 4a. Old coach cant handle that competition on the regular.

That is funny! If you would actually google some schedules, you would see Alcoa plays a better 6A schexule than most 6A schools! Maryville, Blackman, DB???

  4. I meant no disrespect to Covington. I apologize. They were a really good team. I just think everyone underestimates the teams I mentioned because they never see them due to Alcoa. Maybe not last year but in years past, I feel the East had the top 1,2,3 4 teams. Hard to say if Covington would have been a better game since we are playing PC. However, we have heard so much about them the past several years that we are glad to finally see what the hype is all about.

So, this game is what we've been waiting 3 years to see out of Pearl-Cohn? The talk in 2017 was all about what they were gonna do to Alcoa. Covington knocked them out. Same last year, Stratford knocked them out. Finally PC gets there in 2019 and at half, are on a pace to lose 54-0.

No disrespect to PC because they have some good athletes but they just didnt understand what they were wanting for the past few years! Alcoa, CAKe, Loudon, Aunt Betty up the street, AE, and perhaps even a Notre Dame team or two (you are welcome booger) have all been better than the teams Alcoa played in the state.
