    The SG Cocke County had to be one of the ugliest games I have seen in a long time.... esp. the officiating. The game was intense and I know that flags can be thrown on just about every play, but this game was ugly... I was ready for it to be over by the end of the 3rd.... Do the TSSAA officials view tapes of the performance of the officiating crew?

     

    SG offense has really come together w/ addition of DB back Xavier... they have 2-3 who can run the ball. Thing is one had surgery today, QB was hurt last night on a cheap hit, and another ejected. If this team can get past injuries and penalties they could finish the rest of the year w/ all Ws....

     

    Defense is good, one of the DT did not play against Cocke, the other starting DT only played through half of 3rd.... The game could easily have been a lot more toward SG...

    i went to cocke county high years ago . they used to be one of footballs elite programs but they have fell on hard times . heck the cosby eagles are playing better ball than the fighting cockes. the players do the best they can with the talent that is there. the coaches are a joke and should be run out of town . they are an embarrassment to the people of this community that they are supposed to represent. what can you expect when the head coach takes up with a doctors daughter who was still in high school at the time of the affair. would love to tell the whole coaching staff to hit the road and not come back.

    Cosby was an excellent ball club, and they have been in the gym shooting because they looked to be in mid-season form at Oneida's Tournament.  They were very effective both inside and out.  Blakely is such a fundamentally sound player and he has such a good variety of post moves.  The Eagle's Coach has a considerably easier job when #11 is in the game for him.  I'm not so sure that #24 can maintain such a torrid pace through the entire season.  He played great in the Oneida Tournament, but the Indians didn't allow him to come free as easily as Harriman did, and he had to work for his points.  Teams will have to know where he is because he certainly proved he can light it up in a hurry.  The Indians are making progress, I wouldn't be surprised to see them fare better later in the season against Cosby.  thumb Kaz thumb
