Who in their right mind would want to coach at Powell?  That community would drive the Pope crazy!

Both schools have a number of players who have migrated to play out of zone.  The only way to keep these kids is to start winning games.  Sounds easy...but you got to have the horses to compete.  I have faith both of these programs will eventually pull out of this funk.  Many things in life are cyclical, football is no different.

The game that interests me the most this year in the region is South Doyle vs SC.  Will SD have enough to get over the hump and beat SC?  I think this season is the best chance they have had in a while.  They return several players, and SC will be without Brewer.  I think the stars might align.

Can only imagine how the community is reacting to all this good news.  Could be an interesting year for the Panthers.

I think they have a total of four asistant coaches at the moment.  Two new, and two from previous staff.

Be careful what you wish for DB fans, look what happen at Halls after Gary Shepherd left for Clarksville.  You guys have a solid football history and tradition of winning, I would leave well enough alone and let the man do his job.

A coach will be named Monday.

Prosseer or Rosser is who I heard at Central. I hear it would be a great hire.  I doubt Stevens leave I hear he has one states best players in LaVergne. Central is a great opportunity to any coach. Hope they get the right guy.

Jeff McMillian will be named Carter's next head coach.

It will be today or tomorrow I'm pretty sure.

Central had a better QB but was told he would play receiver so he moved on to Bearden. Them they had a frosh 6'3" and could throw it all over the field and he played LB and jv and freshman. I agree it will be interesting to see what happens with new coach. Just saying.

This post is a perfect example of how second hand information, or better yet false information gets advertised.  This is so ridiculous to read it makes me laugh.  I feel bad about calling this poster out, but about a quarter of his post is even accurate (he played LB on JV and freshman). 

Shinlever will name himself at BHS, Mcmillan to Carter, and a former Oak Ridge coach to Central.  As for Powell, who knows.  But did hear Lamar Brown turned it down.

Who ever Central chooses as a coach, they will definitely have an Oak Ridge connection.  Mark it down...decision was made along time ago. 

Project Grad. has taken a number of good athletes, not just in the Central zone, and funneled them to Fulton.  There is not a thing you can do about... especially if these kids attended Title One schools as elementary or as a middle school student.  Also the rezoning of Cassell Ridge Apartments to Powell did not help matters either.  There is only on anecdote....winning.

Knox county will not hire coaches that have had DUIs, just saying..

They would be foolish to hire that guy.

Don't be surpised if they hire a certain indivdual with Oak Ridge ties...just look at your principal's background.  This administration is as shady as it gets!

Amen...too many AC sheep on here.  We already know AC has a pretty good ball club, lets move on.

Two words for Fulton...Project Grad.  Best recruiting tool in the county.

Half of CC's passing yards were on two plays...poor tackling on Central's part helped that stat line.  Beating an average Central team certainly does not mean CC has arrived.  Mark it down, AC wins rather easily. 

CC will get the brakes beat off of them this week...AC is way too physical for this bunch.  The wonder twins will take this one on their chins.

I hate to say it, but I think he has seen his last days at Powell High School. A promising young coach that used poor judgement.
