  1. Well everyone thinks there is only Knoxville players that are good...Well I have watched these players play and some are really good basketball players and some get their name out there and everyone expects so much out of these players....A great basketball player has got to play offense and defense and play team basketball...When you talk about all the points some players score you have to look at how many times that player shoots and

how many baskets they make..In the end maybe if everyone watches these games and pays attention to what i have posted and keeps up with team basketball then we will decide how great a player is...

  2. they try to split the teams up as even as possible. the problem is that the knoxville players, as a whole, are head and shoulders better than the kids from surrounding counties. there are a few exeptions, but ONLY a few. honestly, no person named jethro will ever be able to stop lester wilson or galen campbell (or me for that matter).

  4. Two or three pretty good players on each team, then it drops off a lot. Not sure who the best team is yet, but the Sevier County teams looks like it doesn't really belong. Hard to tell early on though.

Well I think you have to give these boys a chance, not really good for players or coaches trying to pick teams...Every team has some good players on them..I don't really understand how the teams were picked maybe they should have been more even with the players on each team...There are some players that are more advanced than others..So if they had put more thought in these teams maybe it would more exciting to watch these teams...I'm really for this league so we will all see in the end if everything was fair with picking teams...Go Rocky Top!!

  5. i have been to every tn travelers game this year and i am here to tell you first hand info not gossip.

to begin with nike pays no money to any player on any of their sponsored teams. believe me the ncaa watches this closely. next there are only 11 players on the 17u roster. only 10 of these are playing right now, craig bradshaw was called up from the 16u team to make it a ten man roster because kurt brooks is rehabing from knee surgery. the travelers play against the best competition available every game and all ten players are getting about equal playing time. i am actually quite impressed at how well they actually work together considering they are talent laden. so before you trash the travelers follow them and actually watch them play. i recruit and i see all the good teams the travs are right there with them

  6. i thought things would be close in the imac this year between m east and cocke co. boy was i wrong

i have been scouting the brooks kid from cocke co and i still attended this game eveb tho he is out for the year. i thought m east would win handidly with brooks out. wrong!!!! cocke co beat east 85/76 and it was not as close a game as the score indicates. this team is easily 25-30 points better than east if brooks is playing. but they are still a 10- 15 point better team with him out. they are the most complete team i have seen in the imac in several years. they are extremely quick and unselfish aqnd should run thru the imac unscathed barring a total collapse. bad news for the imac is that brooks should be back in good shape next year and they only have 3 seniors on team now. looks like the cockes will rule the roost for the next couple of years in the imac and perhaps all of region 1

  7. guys i have seen most of these boys play, know most of them personally, the best of the lot may have

went down to a season ending knee injury mon night, kurt brooks of cocke co. he had only played 4 games in early season but against excellent competion had 21 p and 8 boards against lenoir city,

18 p and 9 boards against db, 18 p and 11 boards against tenn high, won all those games. he will be back next year tho

  8. bad news for cocke just heard that brooks is out for year. going to have major surgery

again on knee. i have seen them play and he was definetely the key to cocke co winning at a

big level. good news is out of his camp that he will be back next year and ready to go. good

luck kurt you will do well you have more heart and desire than anyone ive seen. se ya next year

  9. cocke co defeated lenoir city 67 to 64 in hof game at lc marcus stewart had 23 and kurt brooks 21 for the winners. tyler hood scored 25 for lenoir. cocke co is small but extremely athletic. they are still my pick to win imac

  10. you guys are overlooking 2 of the best in the area. zach garland at crockett and kurt brooks at cocke co. zach is a beast 6' 11 and growing and maturing. he can and will take over a game on both ends of the court. brooks is probably the best shooter around. he can fill it up early and often from anywhere on the court. check the scoreboxes when play begins in a week or two

  11. i talked with some of the coaches from cocke co the other day and they are excited about the

upcoming year. they think brooks can score in the upper 20's and low 30's consistently

marcus stewart should give a 1 2 punch that can average 50 or more a game

they will be small, brooks is biggest kid at abot 6'3 or 6'4 but they are very athletic and can

shoot the lights out. i still think it will come down to cocke co and m east

  12. imac should come down to winner of m east and cocke co games

a lot will depend on how the brooks kid can carry cocke co

i have seen him play and he is the real deal his range starts when he comes into

front court. east will rely heavily on the gardner kid. hes a real force too
