  1. A decent little league coach could be very competitive win this group. I've never been a coach basher but this farce has made me see the light. It makes me sick to see where Meigs Football is right now. Good bunch of young men, not world beaters but not as bad as they look by any stretch. Hate to see them have to go through this. But surely better days are coming? Go Tigers.

  2. Someone shed some light on how winter work outs are going? Are the kids getting stronger? How do we feel about going north next year?

Workouts are going better than I've seen in a while especially attitude wise. Finally getting a little depth. I think going North will be a little tougher but I'm excited about our group. Took allot of lumps last year playing so many young kids but that'll help in the long run. Go Tigers
  3. What does the schedule look like for next year? Team?

The Tigers will finally be starting allot of upperclassman. Been really young the past couple of years. Last year was rough but a great group of Jrs and a pretty good Sr class coming back. And a little coaching stability should help. Good group of kids there now and good work being done in he off season. Kinda excited! Think MC could surprise a few this year. Go Tigers.

Is Meigs about to be loaded again? They hvent been really good since Gary Meadows was toting the mail in Decatur. I wish they would play SP as well.

Things are gonna be better. Meigs took a few lumps this year but were very young. Really look for great improvements. Not world beaters but very competitive. Wouldn't look for another Gary Meadows he was one of a kind.

What rivalry? Have you seen the scores the last few years vs. Meigs? Meigs is a cupcake. You have to have competitive games before its considered a rivalry. It looks like a good, competitive schedule for the Wildcats next year.

. Ask your Youth juniors and your JV how cupcake Meigs is about to be.

    Tigers94,

I sort of figured with you moving down to 2A (playoffs) that you would be a more natural fit in Dist 5 with Boyd, Silverdale, Grace (Chatt) and Copper Basin. Also, I figure that would be an easier division to finish 2nd in (Boyd has never lost a district game since this alignment started) and get the automatic spot into the football playoffs.

Won't it be tougher to finish 2nd and get into the playoffs automatically playing Knox Grace, Rockwood, Greenback? Is the travel/geography that much better going up to Dist 3? Since Meigs borders Hamilton Co, I figured playing the 3 Chattanooga teams in Dist 5 would be closer?

Any knowledge on why Dist 3 vs. Dist 5?

Sorry 51 forgot to quote your post too lazy to type it all again.

  7. It really surprised me that they sent us towards Knoxville. Everybody involved thought we were a lock for Dist. 5. I think the Softball team will have it a little easier in Dist. 3. But it will be a little tougher for football. That being said I think we'll compete we'll the next couple of years. The Tigers struggled this year but, started 9 sophomores and a Freshman most of the season. We have a decent class coming in and a couple baseball players coming out that have been playing just baseball but really help speed wise. Either way I'm looking forward to the change of scenery. Go Tigers!

  8. This is exactly what's wrong with our society now. Everybody should get a trophy just like little league. If I were a young man on this Loudon team I'd be embarrassed by the thread. I'm not a Loudon fan nor a CAK fan especially I'm a football fan. I know we don't have a dog in this fight but I believe the punter prob just did what he's always been coached to do. I really hate the fact that a grown man would get on the net and bad mouth a kid. And on a final note I wish we'd been there to get a fake punt ran on us. It would've been better than being at home. Go Tigers

  9. How did spring go for the Tigers?

Good spring. Offense looked crisp. Young backfield looked really good. Line much more aggressive on both sides. Very well coached. Scrimmage against ND was good. Lots of there kids cramping up and what not. Meigs looked in better shape.
