Yes on next weeks home game. I’m sure the Thompson’s will have a hand in it but the high school FFA actually puts it on. Let me do some digging and I’ll send you a FB message Sunday. I’m not talking to South Carolina fans tomorrow.
That's an old Cocke County High School logo, my alma mater. Tennessee grad and fan.
I'll check with a parent of an FFA member! -

I'm sure it's the old coach's fault because of the distractions he's made them deal with.
No doubt it's his fault.... and Trump's fault too.

Pregame meal for sure. I’m sure they’d sell a whole butt if you called them early this week.
Thompson's? Is the pregame meal for next week's home game?

Well. FFA is selling pig roast tickets.
Whole butts, or pregame meal tickets?

Haha.
Central radio is finally working. He just said Meigs had 15 penalties for 188 yards.

I thought it may. Not being disrespectful, but our schedule had prepared us for a tough game.
No doubt a tough schedule for Meigs!

46-14. Is that running clock now?
I think the magic number is 35 in the second half, so should be running clock.

Meigs strip the ball. Scoop and score.
I never dreamed it would be a blowout like this.

Looks like we will probably trade scores at this rate. We seem to be ok allowing the short passes but no home run balls
Not there, what's the score and how much time left?

Starting last year, it's good Central being a better team now because of the good back and forth banter between the fans. Stronger Region teams makes rivalries even better!

Before Central beat Sweetwater the way they did, I would have thought Meigs would have won by a couple scores. Considering the Sweetwater game now It will probably be a close game.
Central is very capable of winning this game, and naturally they really want to beat Meigs for several reasons. Having a healthy Gabe Masingale back in their lineup makes them a lot better. I'm sure Meigs will be just as motivated!
As I said earlier, having several good teams in the district will make all of them better. -
Both McMinn Central and Meigs are in the top 10 this week. Since Central has a bye week, and assuming Meigs beats Chatt. Central Friday night, both will be in the top 10 Friday week when they play.

Pretty sure you are Meigs biggest rivalry game. This year more so, considering our game looks like it could be for the 1 seed in the region. That said, I'm sure both teams will come to play and it should be a dandy.
I think it depends on the year, and how strong Central is. The past 8-10 years Central was just another local team that Meigs wanted to beat. This season being a Region game, and Central being much better, and the winner of their upcoming game probably being the Region champ, I'd say Central probably is Meigs' biggest rival. Vice-versa, Meigs is probably Central's biggest rivalry this season.
Having some solid teams that are relatively close to each other is actually good for making it a stronger rivalry and Region. -

Well it's time for rivalry game this coming Friday, in Englewood. Both teams are playing some good football, Meigs county upsetting stone memorial in crossville, and central throttling a pretty good sweetwater team. I think this looks to be the best game between the two in a long time, I really want the boys in blue to pulls this off, but Meigs is currently undefeated, and central has got to prove it before I say they can, bc they haven't beat Meigs since like 2014/15. I'm excited to see how this one turns out, funny how earlier in the season people acted like Meigs county wasn't gonna have a good season but they are playing good ball, and honestly see this as the district championship not sure if Tyner, will pick it up but I don't see them beating Meigs, and think they have a close game with the Chargers. I predict the final score on Friday will be something like 16-30 in favor of the tigers. Best of luck to both teams. Go big blue!
They don't play each other until Sept. 29th. Meigs is at Chatt. Central this Friday, and Central has their bye week.

Probably the game.

Massey? Never heard of her.

Fumble Stone, Meigs ball
That would be a huge upset if Meigs hangs on and beats Stone.

If Gabe Masingale is near 100% and plays most of the game, I'd give Central a fighting chance if they're within a td going into the 4th.
-
Great win for Central. Well-coached teams find a way to win in a lot of close games, and that falls back on the culture created by the coaching staff and the players listening, believing, and delivering.

That was a big win for Meigs County and their new coaching staff. Sweetwater is a solid team!
Thoughts on Region 3 AAA
in Class 3A & Class 4A

I think McMinn Central beats Tyner and finishes second. My predicted order of finish for the top 4:
Meigs
McMinn Central
Tyner
Chat Central
Sweetwater and Brainerd will battle for the cellar.
