Looks like an evenly matched game in a down but balanced district this year. I'll take Tullahoma in a squeaker.

35-17 Lawrence Co

Has anyone ever seen a series as one sided as this one? I think it stands at something like 60-2 for Lawrence County.

Just two old bad teams.

The Falcons played their best first half of the year last night, for sure. The reason I say first half was we only ran three offensive plays in the entire second half, because of the mercy rule with the clock running non-stop. L.C. kicked off to Franklin co. which then ran 11 straight plays all on the ground then punted to L.C., which we were backed up on our own 6 yard line, then we punted the ball back to F.C. which then ran 15 plays against our reserves and scored with around 0:43 seconds left in the game. Evan Pittenger had another great game with 190 yards passing, all in the first half, and had a 65 yard td. pass called back on a penality toward the end of the first half, or it would have been more. The defense also played maybe it's best game of the season, F.C. had only less than 10 yards total offense in the first half, and the first D stayed on the field one series in the second half, as then coach Thompson cleaned out the entire bench the rest of the way. Good luck to F.C. the rest of the season.
Funny post. As if winning 42-6 wasn't enough, you rub their nose in it by showing that they were not worthy of being that close. Then you wish them good luck? Come on man, take your win and don't be so smug.

I don't see how you could have a much better high school atmosphere than what was witnessed at LC last night. Congrats to the GC fans for their awesome support of their team and to the team and their coaches for a hard fought and classy display. It was huge for LC to get the ball into the endzone at the end of the first half to cut into a 10-0 GC lead and then for the LC defense to get a three and out on the GC offense on the opening drive of the 2nd half. Also, huge mistake for GC to go for it on 4th and 2 from their own 28 trailing 21-10 in the third quarter. LC then drove it in to go ahead 28-10 and that was the death knell. Big home region game against Lincoln Co. up next for the Cats this week. Hopefully there will be as much excitement as there was last night.

Columbia 21 Lawrence County 11
A very physical football game from start to finish. Both teams looked slugish on the offensive side of things. Columbia clearly had control for most of this contest. They led 7-3 at halftime. In the second half Columbia came out and scored two more touchdowns to make it 21-3. With 6 minutes to go in the 4th a bad snap on a Columbia punt attempt put Lawrence County inside the Columbia 30 yard line. Lawrence County followed that up with a Garland TD and 2 pt conversion. Columbia was just too much up front for the Lawrence County defense.
Columbia clearly had control for most of this contest? The difference in this evenly matched contest was Tra'Darious Goff. Columbia assumed control in the second half after LC turned the ball over on a pass behind the los in their own territory. Congrats to the Lions and their very special talent, Goff. I don't believe ya'll will lose a district game this year. On to the Cowbell game for the Cats.

Maybe the locker room was blocked. Maybe LCHS did rush the court. Maybe the Principal, Assistant Principal and Athletic Director for Lawrence County were not there. You still can't assault the LCHS student section and cheerleaders.
I personally think all of this could have been avoided if the floor hadn't been rushed. I know the students were very happy and I don't blame them they are kids. There was mass confusion and it all happened so quickly I don't know how anyone saw anything. It was just an ugly mess. I am not blaming LCHS, but I do think it contributed to the situation. There were so many people in front of the locker room there was NO WAY the guys could even get through. I know their emotions were very high afterwards and they didn't handle the situation right either. One thing that I do know is all of this he said she said arguing is only making a terrible situation much worse. And as far as Shelbyville fans not saying anything...why would we??? I mean we don't want to come across as whinning cry babies right??? As my grandmother used to say the more you stir _____ the more it stinks. And Kiffin I just got two words for you ROLL TIDE!!!Very stupid SCHSMom! Why don't you say this would never have happened if you boys had played better and won the game this "never would have happened". Your team got beat and SCHS wanted to fight! Blame LCHS for getting in the way of the locker room and getting excited after a big win. Your coach, your players and your principal are to blame for this and the video will prove this! The coach should be fired and Andrews and a few more should be punished! It never ends over there, Twilley wanted to fight last year. Maybe this is a reflection of the coach and administration. We sure don't have fighting problems. Can wait till football
Thank you jvb123 !!! Someone from Lawrence County has finally admitted that their students were "in the way of the locker room". THANK YOU !!!
As for the scenario of the Shelbyville coach getting his Assistant Coaches and players to the dressing room, that is where they were going. There just happened to be Lawrence County students in the way. Just ask jvb123. It is right there in black and white, "blame LCHS for getting in the way of the locker room".
Once again I ask, Where were the Principal, Assistant Principal and Athletic Director for Lawrence County?
Still waiting...........................

Hardin County has a good defense that held up well in the first half but LC wore them down and had their way in the 2nd half.
