UHS-LA best girls basketball game I have seen in a long time. Hard to beat 5 wildcat seniors for a third straight time.

 

I agree but how in the world have they lost that many games during the regular season. U can never count L.A. girls out,this was a small shocker

Macon is better than the past few years but not even in the ball park of 2003. Macon gets brought back down to reality friday night,and trust me smith and westmoreland have the worst teams they have had in 20 years. This ant smith or westmoreland this is called lose number 1

macon should win and if they do I bet we want hear from posty for a year.2  years in a row im not 100% macon can pull this off but if they do a cloud over mo=town that want go away for a long,long time

This game could go either way but macon makes to many mistakes from coaching on down the line so s.c. will get another gift again for second year in a row.

'Playa' means beach in Spanish.  I didn't know there were any beaches in Clay County.

here is another news flash.Macon is awful and smith county had less than 40 yards total offence in the first half and did not score in the first half.yes smith did come out and play a good second half but to only beat macon by 6 ant saying much as bad as they are,I'd say uncle jimmy new what he was doing when he jumped ship.not going to be a real good year for the owls and even worse for the tigers.

Hands down MVP. If anyone else geta a vote (other than smith county's who can't vote for their own) then they need to do away with entire award. If she's not a miss basketball finalist I would be floored. One of the best players that's been through the UC in a long, long time. Fun to watch. Prayers for a Speedy recovery and a great college career.

I agree 100%.IT'S NOT EVEN CLOSE. Hackett for mvp and I wish for a quick recovery for such a hard working player with a lot of class to go with it.

Sure enough, congrats! I really expected for DC to win this game at home. By all accounts we had been playing well the last couple of games. Last nights loss in that type of fashion was a head scratcher for me.

Well don't let it get to ya cause i've scratched my head all year about the same thing.D.c.'s shooting was a little off and that was the only difference in the game.

Hard to beat them at home but this is the weakest Jackson Co. team that I've seen for a while.

The only way this game is even close is if the refs. call for jackson and this is very,very likely.I have alot of respect for jackson county basketball and i always have but you are right rabbitman,this is the weakest jackson team i've seen in years.

Smith actually only lost to Dickson by 4. I apologize. Did lose to a Hardin Valley team Gatlinburg Pittman beat 13. Just some observations. Area of state means a lot more than common opponents apparently. Is what it is.

And I still don't think you could beat smith. sorry

Not sure what the justification could be to have Gatlinburg-Pittman below Smith County on this or AP poll or any other poll. Gatlinburg lead a Dickson County team that beat Smith County by double digits by 30 in the first half of a Dickson County (#5 ranked AAA team in the state) loss which is their only of the year. Obviously the justification is being from middle Tennessee, but doesn't add up!

No doubt. Hackett is very unselfish also. She would rather get an assist than score. She scores because she has to most games. She will be a passer at Mercer. I don't think anyone works harder than she does.

no argument here,like I said Hackett for mvp and she has and still works hard and should be mvp of district and in the running for aa miss basketball.When driver wants to she can be very good but Hackett as I said is in a league of her own.

Driver has made a difference but she only had 5 points against LA. I think Macon has gotten better due to being a young team growing up...and good coaching. They will be a tough out come tournament time.

I agree Hackett for district mvp,she is in a class of her own.Driver is one of the most non-selfish players you will ever see on the floor.Sometimes she want shoot a lot and can score quick on ya but she has a lot of rebs. and ast in every game.In the l.a game she had a bunch of rebs.and ast. I'm still not sure since her injury she 100% but close.
