Smyrna coming off a heartbreaker to BGA looking to make up for a lossed opportunity. While Brentwood is coming off a so-so win against Cookeville. Both teams have something to prove still. Smyrna will have to corect the small things in practice this week. That shouldnt be a problem. Will probably enter the game with a chip on their shoulder. As for Brentwood, dont know much about them. Saw some of the game against Cookeville on TV Thursday. Didnt see much to get excited about. Could have been first game jitters. Did notice a nice running back and as always the linebackers were pretty good. My gut tells me that Smyrna gets it done here 28-10. Go Dawgs!!!

Who will be be the next Defensive Coordinator for Bulldog Football. We have lost a GREAT coach in Keasler to Summit HS (reported by DNJ). And will any other's follow? The class of 2011 went undefeated their freshman year, good players returning w/experience this last run to the state finals.

Neely's, Corky's and Rendezvous are for tourists. I would suggest Cozy Corner, Payne's, Tom's, G-town Commissary and Central BBQ.

 

As for the football, I think Smyrna wins by a point or two.

I will be pulling for Maryville if they get to the finals. However my team of choice is Alcoa but I actually will be pulling for Smyrna next week. I would love to see a Maryville- Smyrna match up.

my opinion is there probably should not be to much smack talking this week...because these are the two HOTTEST AND MOST TALENTED TEAMS IN THE STATE...both 11-1...both playing at a very high level...both have great defenses...both have great offenses...THIS SHOULD BE THE STATE CHAMPIONSHIP GAME!

I completely respect your prediction. This IS the REAL STATE CHAMPOINSHIP game. Too explosive teams in a rematch. Both teams have improved over the season, better get there early. No injury football at it's best.

WOW! All this smack talk is giving me a headache. Here is my take, If both teams come to play tomorrow night. Smyrna's defense will be way too fast and overpowering on the defensive line causing MJ's QB to make bad decisions, and our secondary will pick him off. As far as our offense goes we do have other running backs that can pound it up the middle and gain valuable yards. Our wide recievers can gain additional yards after catch. Be ready MJ. Like I stated first if we come ready to play it will not be pretty for the MJ Bears.

Great win Dawgs!!! Defense was on top of their game. Wilson and Bryson moved the ball well, Offensive line did a great job blocking for Wilson and opening up the holes. Now about Mt. Juliet, Small, fast and a throwing team. Secondary will have to be on their game next Friday. Focus, Focus, Focus.

Geat win, Great season for the Bulldogs. Now lets get focused on playoffs. Season starts fresh tomorrow. Let's see the offense open up a bit, didn't see that much tonight I would like to see the reverses and option plays a litte more than what we showed tonight. Great defense though, secondary should play a little tighter to my tastes. Could of had a few more interceptions in my opinion. Awesome win. Stay focused on the next game. The end will reap rewards. For the Blackman Game the ticket window was open at 5 o'clock. Smyrna did not open the gates until 5:30. If you were not there steaking out a seat quickly good luck, the visitor side was packed well before 6:00. Concrete visitor seating. No re-entry on ticket stub, if you leave the gate you will need a 2nd ticket to re-enter. Best bet is to get there early and head for the home side. One road in & out traffic can build up fast.

Do not expect any temp. bleachers brought in for this game, it is just not Smyrna's nature than do more than necessary.
