  1. It’s been a long time since I’ve posted, but I feel the need. A man has to do what a man has to do. It may not sit well with others, but it’s his decision. The one thing I do know is that the Pirates have not gotten where they are on the shoulders of just one coach. One great staff after another and unbelievable community support and great athletes have gotten them this far and those qualities will keep them going.

All who have done better radio broadcast may criticize freely...  These guys are primarily broadcasting to the same 100-200 folks they broadcast 2 each week.  Typical 1a homer coverage.  Its expected.

I'm gonna tell Sean and Jeremy you said that...LOL....we've told them 1000's listen.

    Huntland hanging around folks.

I know I've only seen a half but Huntingdon hasn't shown me a whole lot.

Maybe that's their game plan.

I agree.  The radio live cast is from Huntland announcers, but I still haven't heard anything that impresses me.  Second half may be different.  Anxious to see how the targeting call affects things.

I do not lie sir. I have no problem being the favorite. I’m not so sure SP is the favorite though. Someone said it best here yesterday. Greenback has been the measuring stick the past 5-6 years in the east. This SP team is a good team but that game is probably one that could go either way. Two years ago I believe Greenback was head and shoulders better than the rest of the East. I think it’s more even this time. As for the gold coming East. I believe two great teams in the west might have something to say about it as well.

Except for Whitwell sneaking in there last year.

I seen some pics of Swafford during the game kneeling near his sideline with blood on his arm, and another with him bending over with hands on his knees.  Anyone else see these?  I can’t remember where I seen them?  He is one tough young man.

I took some like that, but I don’t like to publish pics like that. I agree he’s tough. But I don’t think they were physically prepared for us. Especially Swafford - he spent most of the night either running for his life or trying to catch runners.

  6. Hey guys. Meigs will be my last game for a while. I’ll be having prostrate surgery Oct. 14, and it’ll be a few weeks before I can handle the sidelines. I’m sure I’ll be good for Cookeville. Get those annual physicals so they can catch it early like they did mine. GO PIRATES!!!

Man what a game/atmosphere tomorrow night is shaping up to be. First, the Pirates are going to have their hands full in this one. I thought before the season that the Pirates needed all hands on deck to beat Red Bank. Unfortunately, key starters are out for tomorrow but that's football.

As for the game, Red Bank will test SP like we haven't been this season at all. I would say that they have an advantage at every single position on the field. We haven't saw anyone that spreads the field or has athletes like they do. It's not the athletes that concern me the most, it's the guys up front. They have some really impressive linemen. If we don't get hat on a hat it may be an ugly night for us. On the flip side, Red Bank doesn't see teams run the ball like we do. You look at their game against Signal, another wing-t team and Signal did some things that made them uncomfortable at times. This game, win or lose, will only make both teams better come playoff time. I think the Pirates can compete but it's going to be awfully tough to win. If we somehow pull it out it should turn some heads. Go Pirates

Of the predictions I’ve read I like yours the best.
