  1. I think people forget cm girls are going into there fourth season together with pretty much the same group of girls

True but they will win this district with ease.L.a. might give them a game but still want beat them. All the other teams will get beat by double digits by them.

  2. UH OH! Central mag.just beat riverdale . I would say the rest of 8aa will be behind them.Only one team in this district can play with them and they can't beat them. sorry charlie

  3. Well.............you may be right Bugg. We did drop TC.....and appears we did pick up up somebody like RBS.... ASK wh.:roflol: :roflol:

i'll ask you that question in just a few short thursday's.it want be pretty.it was a fluke s.c. beat them last year just like a fluke little macon beat s.c.

  4. Sorry people that I didnt show my sarcasm, MAYBE THIS WILL HELP....."THE OWLS WILL KNOW THE TIGERS ARE IN TOWN",,,,,is that better?

sorry-there geo. i think your car is on it's last mile. last year was a fluke that macon won.it will be no problem for the owls.they know it's an easy win.maybe once every ten years macon might win.if and that's a HUGE IF macon wins.s.c. will drop them and pick up somebody like r.b.s. ASK t.c.

  5. Good post Croz. Lafayette does have some cheerleading state championship don't they? They got a sign with something on it up there.

No it's not a good post.lafayette does not get the privilege of playing a team with a female starting on it like rbs does and another team who has only had a high school football team for about 5 years with 15 players on it.If you belive rbs is the 1 team in macon county croz or snoball I want you to name 1 team macon plays rbs could beat.macon has 5th hardest schedule in the state of 4a football.I want this to come to head. How about let's man -up and let them play each other.EVERYBODY WANTS TO TALK THE TALK now let's man-up and play for the ole braggin rights.macon j.v. could beat their varisty.don't think so well lets play.Years ago they use to play and to my knowledge rbs never won or even got close.so why can't they play now.

  6. Put open zone schools in DII. Don't let Privates play in DI with mulitipliers. Do away with 6 divisions in DI and go back to 1A, 2A, and 3A. Do away with A1 and A2 in DII! Alcoa and Maryville could play DII classification with Webb, Catholic, CAK, every year! :roflol:!

I agree with all this.Private schools like goodpasture got it made.they get put in a cupcake disrict for them amd then when play off time comes they get lowered a classification. give me a break.this is not to mention getting the best of the best in the nashville metropolitan area and then a public school trys to compete with them.come on.

  7. Sorry I did not respond earlier, I was working. It really bothers me that so many people make the type of statements that have been made on this thread! This is suppose to be about football. This is not suppose to be about making slanderous statements to get a "rise" out of someone! I hope the people who are posting on York's behalf are not involved with the York program! Does it have to turn into a "private vs public" or asking people where they are from? What does that matter? What does that have to do with Friday nights game? I just dont understand!

Unfortunately....it will always be a public/private debate. I have no horse in this race (yet) other than hoping York does well in representing the district. What does it matter?? The thing is most small country schools have to play the hand they are dealt. Ever been to Jamestown?? Very few move in there. 99% of their player were born there, and grew up together. I'm not so sure GP can say the same, I don't know, maybe they can....but there seems to be a large number that go to school there from other areas. If they didn't go to a private school, where would they be zoned and playing ball?? APPEARS to give an unfair advantage....true or not.

Yes it will always be a debate untill they allow public schools to recruitt as well. It is not in any way an equal playing field. but this needs to be addressed to tssaa not goodpature. so join in after the playoffs and ring their phone off the wall. ALL PRIVATE SCHOOLS SHOULD PLAY ALL PRIVATE SCHOOLS! PERIOD

  8. I will tell you ahead of time that's not going to happen. JC wins by 40 if they want but I'm guessing they will clear the bench in the second half. JC 38 RBS 12

What happened midten? Guess it wouldn't the landslide that you predicted. I can't believe that Clay County lost to you guys after beating Monterey 13-10 (who beat you 27-7), and beating RBS 26-6 (who took you guys to the end to beat). I guess every dog has their day though.

Oh and for the record, the only reason Clay was able to beat RBS is because Garrett was playing at that time. If these two teams played now RBS would win. They are CLEARLY the better team right now.

you have lost your mind.rbs can't and won't beat clay, or j.c in 10 trys. maKE IT LOOK GOOD YES, GIVE A GOOD EFFORT YES BUT WIN .NO! tell me this again after the next 2 friday nights coming up. rbs has improved ill give ya that but like along, long way competing against some of the teams your talking about.

  9. Good grief let it go. Talk about the game or go to another thread.

WATTABUUGG can't talk on his thread since Macon Co. has yet to win a game.

I am glad that KR will be able to scramble a little more now. The training wheels have come off!!

sorry charlie brown not from macon. good guess though.

  10. This is a mis-match. This is were a private school that gets to recruitt and pick on a public school. goodpasture just beat one of the largest 6a public schools in the mid-state but that little ole multipler equals everything out. WOW! I wonder who's gonna win this game. oh, by the way they don't make the rules, they just enjoy the heck out of it and it's another W ON THE SCHEDULE. Man think they might win against all these small public schools again year. westmoreland, macon, sysamore, green b. white-house is the only team that play with them and that's because w.h. should be 4a, thanks to the new school w.h.h which lowered their enrollment. ALL PRIVATE SCHOOLS SHOULD PLAY ALL PRIVATE SCHOOLS.

  11. I do agree that Alcoa is the favorite in 3A, maybe even all classifications. But I do know that Goodpasture is starting ALOT of sophomores and juniors, mainly juniors. They can be very good this year, depending on how fast they learn and grow. I do think that next year has the chance to be a special year for Goodpasture.

who cares both schools get to recruitt, they should win every game. man you act like they should'nt win after getting to pick the best players in the mid-state. come on. it's like somebody's high school j.v. playing somebody;s grade school. duh! who's gonna win. yae, yae win won. gee wonder why?

  12. the reason teams pile up the numbers on macon's d. is because the D stays on the field. macon's O. goes 3 and out alot or they score fast and the defence goes back. Macon avg. time during the whole game on offence is about 12 to 13 min. the D.is on the field the rest. ALL THIS BECAUSE THEY throw, throw, throw and throw some more. IT is as much or more of a problem than D. Why i dont know, but i do think things will get better.

  13. This week is "Senior Night" at Creek Wood and the Red Hawks will host Sycamore in their final non-district game of the season. The War Eagles have won 4 consecutive games and are trying hard to get that all important 5th win of the season going into their final 2 games against Goodpasture & White House. Creek Wood is 5-1 on the season and is still perfect in the district. Their big showdown with Camden is 2 weeks away and they can't afford to get caught overlooking a red hot Sycamore bunch. This game will be broadcast live on 1030 AM this Friday night and the taped broadcast can be heard Saturday morning on 790 AM.

Any thoughts or predictions on this one????? The common opponent for both has been Greenbrier. Both teams played Greenbrier in weeks 1 & 2 respectively so plenty has changed since that time. Sycamore lost to the Bobcats 7-19 while Creek Wood beat the Bobcats 14-3.

war eagles are done for the year. the winning streak stops here and the remandier of the season. It will be next year before they get another win. creek-wood 28 syc. 7

  14. At this point of the season, I don't see a W of any kind. Players morale down and the coach is losing what credibility he had left. FANS BECOMING RESTLESS! I'd love to see Laf play RBS. It would be a good game IMO. Prehaps this would be a good fundraiser for the schools. We need a shot in the arm or a kick in the butt! Any ideas? dry.gif

here some fuel for all you tiger players. This guy thinks r.b.s. can play with yall. This is a low blow considering how 1 of these teams r.bs. beat has not won a game and had a female starting for them.the other team they beat has won 1 and it was the first team i was talking about. WOW! im glad this guy knows so much about high school football. I tell you what sir. you pick out any team m.c. plays and you take r.b.s.. I'LL GIVE YOU 35 POINTS RATT OUT OF THE GATE. hang in there tigers better times shall soon be here. please feed off this B.S.

  15. What are GP's field conditions like? The weather report below came from the National Weather Web page. As you can see, RAIN tonight and tomorrow. I hope we dont play in a mud pie like last week. I think that the muddy field helped Beach in the return game last week. Not saying that #5 wouldn't have scored any way, but I would like a rematch with out the mud.

Today: Sunny, with a high near 75. South wind between 5 and 10 mph.

Tonight: Periods of showers and thunderstorms after 1am. Low around 58. South southwest wind between 5 and 10 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80%.

Friday: A 50% percent chance of showers and thunderstorms before 1pm. Mostly cloudy, then gradually becoming sunny, with a high near 72. Southwest wind between 10 and 15 mph, with gusts as high as 25 mph.

Goodpasture's field is very nice. It has a nice crown, and the filed is always in great condition. Make sure you get there early if you want to get decent parking. Usually by 6:00pm it gets full. There is parking across the street from the high school, as well as in the back by the field house.

HAS ANYBODY EVER SEEN A PRIVATE SCHOOL WHO DID'NT HAVE A NICE FIELD. tHEY GET IT ALL.

  16. Yall will never hear the end of it, untill TSSAA takes care of the problem. It's an unfair advantage. EVERYONE knows it coaches, players and parents. True privates did'nt make the rule, but acting like it's great to beat a public, when you get to hand pick an all star team. THEY SHOULD WIN EVERY TIME. ALL privates should be in a district with all privates and play public's as non- con .games. Sorry it's not right never will be unless it's done this way. Most public's will NEVER shut up an I can't blame them. Would you want us to pick up 10 t0 15 of the best players we could find before we played one of yall. I've spoke my part and want post again unless somebody comes with something smart.right is right and wrong is wrong.

  17. White house go recruitt a few players from beech or find another team tha's off and get some of their players, that's what goodpasture gets to do. Why can't we all. o wait that would'nt be fair now would it. if privates want to play public schools that's fine, but at no point should they be in a district with a public. non-con. games only. come on TSSAA.
