  1. Lets not take away anything from BGA. They came out and played their hearts out. We just had one person mess up every play. we expect a lot every time we get the ball and we tensed up when we werent making plays which opened the door to more mistakes. And as for reading into the press too much, that is completely false.Every player remembers the ranking the team 2 years ago got, and the outcome of that season. rankings are bogus and we know and preach it. lets give most of the credit of the score go to the BGA players who fought and fought, and not disrespect them with excuses. I pity the team who sleeps on BGA

  2. The poor losers also showed a lot of class. after the game the players piled their underwear in the shower and urinated on them. and they wiped "unidentifiable materials" on the walls. if you think im joking, call the athletic department.

also i have been reading the posts on the mississippi boards and so far they sound like a bunch of whining losers. they say they werent prepared. that BA just got lucky. part of being a good team is in preparation and if they thought they could treat us like an inferior oppenent then they dont know much about football. My son starts on the team, and he wont play any college ball. but he and his friends physically dominated them literally up and down the field. if they are the athletes they say they are, then there should have been a moment where game plan goes out the window and they realize they need to stand and fight. if you lost by 7, sure you can say you were ill prepared. even if you lost by 14, you might have some excuse. but you lost by 32...actually 39 with the starters in. dont kid yourselves in any way that you are a better team.

im sorry if i come across angry...i am

  3. Some of us still peruse the posts on occasion, my friend.

BTW, who, exactly were those "classiest and most informed" BA folks? Never met one myself.

ouch. Haha but my best guess is that they are with the polite and considerate Ensworth fans (i'm directing at students, not the parents for the most part)

  4. How does Father Ryan look this year? Can they stop BA's high powered offence and compete with their stout defence who (the starters) have yet to give up any points? Even though the eagles look better on paper, trust me they havent forgotten the last two years and will be looking to make a statement. what are your predictions?

  5. BA took a big win last year against Southwind.

Will they do it again this year at Southwind's home field.

I predict yes, but closer game this year. BA by 10.

I agree it will be closer, but id say BA will win by more than 10. Southwind has great athletes and skill. they are just not coached well and dont play sound. but like i said, tremendous athletes

  6. Hopefully that was a clumsy attempt at being facetious.

It is my impression (i'm not trying to be argumentative) that once a team decides not to run up the score on you, both sides give reps to the younger kids. i know Kingsbury didnt have enough people to go 3rd string, but they could have gone to the 2nd string. Instead they tried to beat up on our younger guys. Not only that but actually talk junk to them on the feild. the first string was asking to go in, to remind them of the first half

-and BAVol- i do not know how it seemed, but trust me, that was not the situation. The coaching staff didnt have time to go to chili's do to the fact they left the facility close to midnight after reviewing the film for the team film session at 9 a.m Saturday morning

  7. As was mentioned earlier BA played second and third team in the second half. I was on the sidelines and in the second half I was shocked at the lack of emotion by BA coaches and players. They just came out flat and looked like the game was already over. Attention to detail was gone. It was very disappointing. I'm not sure how many onside kicks were recovered before Potter got a clue and put a hands team in there at the end of the game. You never like to hear the words with two minutes left in the game, "one's stretch... you're going back in if they score" which they did.

It was 41-0 at half. it was over. The lack of emotion was due to the fact that the intense game that it was in the 1st half, turned into a coaching oppurtunity for the younger kids. The first couple of series was delegated to the 2nd string, which actually scored, and then the playing time trickled down to the third and fourth string players. Kingsbury left their 1's in the entire time. I beleive what coach potter did took character and lack of pride. instead of pulling the younger kids when the began to score, he let them play through adversity. And the only 1's that went in for BA at the end of the game was the hands team which accomplished their job without failure. it was classless for kingsbury to keep their 1's in, when someone gives you mercy, you should take it.

  8. I feel Ensworth overlooked MBA, hey i overlooked MBA and expected a game with Ensworth this week. But when we heard about MBA beating Ensworth, we cheered. Not that we think MBA is a push over oppenent, it is that, well to state the unfortunate and immature truth, we really really dont like MBA. I visited both BA and MBA in preparing to choose my middle school and high school education, and they both flat out told me that they did not like each other (one school was a little more explicit than the other). we itch at the oppurtunity to exact revenge for the past two years. expect to see both teams to come out and give it their heart, mind, and body. Emotion lasts for 4 plays at most, then it comes down to who has prepared more.

Physically, i give the advantage to BA (i am trying not to be partial, Lassing is a monster and hits like a train, i should know from first hand experience, BA has too much speed)

    prediction-BA=28

    MBA=16 (1 touchdown, 3 FG's)

  9. My predictin BA-38 McCallie-14 (Scoring their last TD late in the fourth quarter)

McCallie may play emotional but Potter knows them inside and out, emotion lasts for about 4 plays then its down to who has prepared more. McCallie's offence is like Baltimore Raven's defence, once the creator of the system is gone, it becomes lack luster. Like playing the game telephone, the system gets past down by hear say, slowly changing.

    hope baylor beats father ryan
