  1. I'm not sure why your schedule and who you play should have anything to do with a players accomplishments. If that were the case smaller classifications would be a joke. Ask anyone who has played against copeland their opinion. It just seems like post players get overlooked. She's ranked 10th in the nation in her position. she was short changed for sure. TSSA should be ashamed

  2. What specifically is a joke about Single A?

    Level of play?

    Finalists?

Is there anyone in mind from Chattanooga area you feel was unjustly left off? Brooke Copeland from Bradley Central is the best player in Chattanooga area & I'm not sure that she should have been in top 3 for AAA. all 3 AAA girls are really Outstanding.

Of course really good players are left off. There are only 3 finalists in each class.

Brooke Copeland should have been nominated in AAA for sure, she is a DIV1 signee McDonalds All American nominee, female athlete of the year in the area and her stats are way better than all nominees in all categories besides assists including Middleton. Alexa Middleton of course should be nominated and should get it but the others?

  3. Bradley Central beat White Co; Cumberland Co destroys McMinn Co. Should be a good Region 3 Championship game if Cumberland can make it a fast paced game. Bradley is big with the two D1 posts, but a tad slow. I think the Lady Jets can take it they can "wear down" Bradley with 40 mins of sprinting.

There is nothing slow about Bradley girls, they can run with any team the guards are way better than they were at the beginning of the season. Chelsie Summers is playing like her old self and hungry. She can handle the ball and get it inside and the posts are unstoppable. the posts can handle the ball as well. It will be a good game but Bradley Central will win this one.

  4. Brooke Copeland from Bradley Central should be in the top 12. She is 6'2 and playing a 2 and 3 guard in AAU. She only gets to play 2 quarters on her high school team because they would be up so much on other teams and still averages in double figures in points, rebounds and block shots.

  5. I coached one of these fine QB's in rec league football and know the other from coaching against him and at church. I will tell you that they are both even better young men than they are football players (and they are elite FB players).

They are both very fine men and will be successful in whatever they do! I know both of them very well and know they will both have their game faces on for Friday! Go Bears!

  6. very well spoken Bradley people do know where they were to where they are now and no team is or will be take for granted that's for sure.

I don't think it is a concern. These guys are going in to play the game that they love. Some of the fans, they may have a big head. But I can tell you that most of the Bradley fans are very humble. We know how these boys rose from a tradition of many losing seasons in a row. These bears deserve all the credit they get, and more! With that said, see you Friday!

Those steps are an honor reserved for Bradley football players and coaches. Just so you know, visiting teams walk around the back side of the stadium. Once called the bear walk, it is now named in honor of the late Bradley coach Chief Bill Robertson.

On a lighter note, Bradley put up 52 on Soddy last week without the starting RB. Actually they ran a sophmore most of the night. Rue ran a couple times. Don't know if Justin will be back or whether he will be needed. Too many weapons. stop run, pass, stop pass run. Keep 2 people on our QB or you will get burned. Can't cover Stoval 1 on 1. Then theirs Rue, Pickle, and 3-4 other receivers to get open. Screens, bubbles, reverses. Love to watch that O.

  8. He put in the subs including subbing the quarterback, that throw in the 4th was from the Keith not Copeland but nice try.

    but nice try.

Guess Coach Floyd was Pissed @ SD bout Something,

Up 5 TD's and Throwing the ball early in the 4th, then with 4 min left in Game, Still Throwing the Rock, Style Points i Guess :thumb: :thumb: :thumb:

  9. Just wondering what game you were watching Charlie Murphy Copeland did a great job?

The kid from Walker Valley that is now at Ole Miss,,, got dominated by Polk in 2009.

And Polk probably doesn't have "one" player that can cover Stoval, but a Derrick Davis defense has been known to scheme its way to success. They slowed down one of the best passing attacks in TN last year in the CAK game, still lost, but held that passing game in check. Two things have to happen in a pass play, the WR has to get open and the QB has to get the ball to him. Bradley should be more concerned about the second one, because Copelands accuracy wasn't all that good Friday night.

Charlie says it could go either way, Bradley definitely the favorite, but it won't be a blow out.

    Good luck to both teams

  10. I just hate to see high school athletes get bashed, isn't this thread about Cleveland Football which to me would be the team as a whole. Come on people, I am a Bradley fan but being personal is a little ridiculous. I wish Voytik the best of luck in his endeavors. Go Bears!

  11. To respond to several items in this thread:

    1) The BCHS/CHS game has been moved back to Friday night from the originally scheduled Thursday.

    2) When BCHS goes to Alcoa this coming Thursday, it is for a joint practice and not a scrimmage. That's the word from the coach.

    3) The rising lineman is probably junior Austin Sanders, 6-5, 285 lbs., offensive and defensive tackle. Lots of interest from several schools.

    4) The Copeland kid at QB is ready to lead the Bears to a stellar season barring major injuries from a host of returning offensive and defensive players. I've personally been around this young man on many occasions and have never seen him display anything but good sportmanship, win or lose. Whether or the basketball court or the football field he remains cool and calm no matter the circumstances. The Bears will have to rebuild most of both lines but their offensive and defensive backfields will be something exciting to watch.

Please be supportive of your school and positive in every way. There's no room on these boards to try and drag down kids who are simply doing what they love. And that is play sports for their school.

well said baconbreath- I think any team can beat anyone on any given night,it just depends on who wants it more. Go Bears!

  12. Not sure what you get out of calling a 16 year old kid overated on the internet?? But it does speak to your lack of character... If a kid can start at Varsity Football as a Freshman and help his team win 14 ballgames in 2 years at a school that has not had a winning season in 5 years then he is doing ok. The only hype he has received is by the other coach's in his region voting him QB of the year. The Rhea Co. QB got offensive player of year. If you met him you would like him he is a very humble kid. Come by practice sometime and i will introduce you to him. But please do not put him down on this public forum he does not deserve your attack. Thank you for seeing your error of poor judgement. Brian Copeland

    you tell em' Jedi!

  13. Well said.It is never right for a coach(adult)to put his hands on a kid.If u cant take someone jumping in the middle of the feild then u got problems. They are kids and a b in the middle of the feild is not the American flag.He was just mad he didnt win.I hope he comes to Oak Ridge soon and we can talk to him about it man to man.Not man to kid.Bradley had one of there best teams in along time and couldnt beat a very young Oak Ridge team.Stick to Walker Valley and the reg season.Playoffs are for the big boyz

people crack me up Bradley is young too out of 88 kids they only have 4 seniors?

  14. Dude or Mrs. I have to know who your kid is.... I kow its not Chandler, so who is it. One thing is for certain this coaching staff wanted to win for those kids more than anything if your son could have helped this team on the field they would have played. Probably 50 of the 70 kids on team just went to Church together and then went and ate a meal. They have nothing but respect and admiration for their coach's. Nobody played Friday night that had not earned the playing time... Did you here the awards that were voted by the other District coach's, keep in mind Coach Floyd just nominate's the kid the other coach's in the district have to vote on them. We had like 5 awards... DO YOU REALIZE THAT MEANS THE OTHER COACH'S THAT ONLY COACHED AGAINST BRADLEY thought the young men deserved not only to start but were the best at their respective position's. So, who was the all american player that our coach's overlooked????? lol lol. We have no fathers that coach either although they stand in as father's for some young men in tough situations. You need to talk with some of the Bradly players to find out what they think of the men that you attack on this website... Did you know that 13 young men gave their life to JESUS during the season this year??? Heck your son might have been one of them. BE REAL WITH YOUR KID IF HE IS NOT GOOD ENOUGH TO START ITS OK ITS A GAME> But don't ever accuse Bradley Football coach's of playing kids with lesser talent while Tony Dorsett or Dick Butkis is setting on sielines. No coach touched Oak Ridge players... And Bradley did not stomp on Cleveland's C they stayed on field and hugged their dad's and mom's neck.

I totally agree with Jedi like I said before get your facts first before you starts attacking people and kids on here. Jealousy is an illness so I hope you get well soon there footballfan1

  15. yea we all know that Bradley is stacked this year. They going to win their state championship tonight right? Jump around and cry if yall win? Or did yall already do that against Polk?

good one Bradley isn't good enough to win state not even close but having a winning season and beating Cleveland is gonna happen

  16. all you have to do is look at the last two QB'S Coach Slaughter has coached ( Ledbetter & Parrott ) and you will see that he can develop a high school QB without a doubt !!

TRUST me Voytik is good because of all the high dollar camps he goes to year round NOT EK's coaching skills

  17. I've never said Bradley has regressed. Bradley has a good team, make no mistake about that. They're not Alcoa though, they're not "stacked" with alhletes.

Bradley does have alot of naturalnathletes way more than Cleveland does;I guess we will just see tonight :popcorneater:

  18. Voytik is alot better than Copeland. Voytik has gotten better also. Last year Bradley fielded their best team in 5+ years and only beat Cleveland's worst team in 5+ years by one. Cleveland is a more complete team this year than they was last year.

I guess we have different opinions I think Copeland is better sorry,Voytik has one thing over Copeland and that's one year more of experience.Copeland is used to these type of competive big crowd games and doesn't get rattled and keeps his composure. One sack on Voytik and he will shut down just saying.Voytik is overated
