whew, if Hendersonville's offense is that weak they are really in trouble

7-0? how bout that offense. Yeah ridgeway put up more yards but scoring is the only thing that matters here we won 21-19 that obviously tells you we made important stops against one of the best teams in tennessee. Tomrw night you'll get a good taste. Goodluck keeping that offense out on the field for more than 3 and out

I assure you our fans will out show columbia fans. Nothing against yall but all of sumner county and then some will be there. I'm sure you've heard about HHS crowd this year. We've out done it all year and it couldn't get any better than this game. Its gonna get crazy in cookeville friday night!! Hope to see yalls stands full as well we can do some taunting back and forth haha make it even better

Well if you think this game is gonna be one-sided the whole game than your probably about as smart as that monkey. You must not have heard about our hard nosed defense. Ever heard of Joe Townsend? how bout Cayman Russel, Brady Kelly, Whit Gray, Taylor Bozeman, or Taylor Hooks. These guys are rough and very tough to beat. They get after it every play if you don't believe me you should see Ridgeway film or ask them yourself. Doesn't matter if you can pass run kick they will find a way to get to you. I'm not sayin we're just gonna blow columbia away i honestly think it will be a close game coming down to who can make the last stop on D

Columbia is ten times better than last year because this time around

they have a great defense whereas last year they were actually pretty

bad, especially in the secondary. NO more

even though they did let up alot of points against Beech.. hey we'll see. Ridgeway was talking how their defense hadn't let up 20 somethin points in the whole playoffs and what not..well then Hendersonville puts up 21.

I asked my son about this play & he said that the H'ville player said, after owning the R'way dude, "you ain't got "caca" you little "kittycat" & the guy punched his face-mask. Perfect, if you ask me. My mama would've blushed if there was a mic on our line. F150 from HC started this "dirty players" crap with the "eye gouging" and it is bull....

 

These guys are grappling/grabbing anything they can in the trenches. That's why a cup is recommended by the TSA!

LOL I love it. We did a great job slowing them down and getting to their qb you could tell how frustrated he was getting. The best they did at running the ball was sweeping it to the outside. I remember only 1 time they had a big run up the middle. They have some great athletes though. It just came down to team effort and we came out on top with a well deserved win. Great job by the Hendersonville players and coaches

Hendersonville is going to pull this one out imo. Ridgeway might have been tougher than Columbia..we'll find out for sure. Columbia, I think you've met our District once before

Ridgeway fans, I'm reading that HHS is accused of being a dirty team in some prior threads. Was this your experience? Hopefully these were isolated incidences and not your experience last night. Any thoughts?

I am a Henry County Patriot fan. Hendersonville plays cheap. They will lose Friday.

Hendersonville's D was great last night. 1st half, we shut the roadrunner offense down. 2nd half was a little scary, gave up 2 scores, stopped the extra points. In the end we held our ground. Only negative thing was missed field goal in 1st qtr. Right before half time took to long to call time out, got in field goal range with a second on the clock and didnt have time to get the kick. It was a great game to say the least.

Offense didnt put up nearly as much yards BUT got the points Special teams was amazing. First kickoff Hendersonville onsides and recovers it. It caught everyone in the stadium off guard. I couldnt believe it.

I think we're all interested to hear your explaination on how we play cheap.. I'm sure you said we would lose when we played against yall along with the majority BUT now you know what the Commandos are about. i dont agree with the whole Hendersonville playing cheap just because we beat yall. For any eye gouging crap thats not the first time its ever happened its football it happens man up and get yours!

You are right. "Film never lies" Based upon what you have discerned from 'Youtube' and what other resources you have available .... Ridgeway hasn't played any team of quality since the beginning of the year. Melrose and East had losing records and White Station was a 500 team. Ridgeway has not seen a team like Hendersonville where the competition they play is much better throughout. Memphis teams are hyped to be really good and then when they meet a middle Tennnessee school, they lose. Oh yeah ... Smyna is just going to come in a beat Whitehaven as well ... because ... well ... Smyrna just plays stiffer competition and has beaten better teams in the playoffs ... and well ... Smyrna is just better.

Well ... when you mighty middle Tennessee teams come in Memphis and show us what REAL football is all about ... just don't hurt anybody in the process, ok? Could you at least do that? Please?

For the most part from watching all the Youtube Highlights of Ridgeways games, they are playing cupcake after cupcake pretty much until last week. Hendersonville is no cupcake, especially if they play as they did vs Henry County. Should be a great game with a great atmosphere.

 

Special teams will be big for the commandos. With the low line drive punts as well as short kickoffs it could set up some good field position. If the big line of Hendersonville can control the quick penatrating D-line the Commandos could have a great night on the ground. And if Hunter Brown can control his passes it could open up even more of the run game.

 

Defensivly the Commandos will be challenged all night by the quick RB's from Ridgeway. They must wrap up every tackle as well as force some TO's. Its going to be a dogfight in the trenches.

Last year at this time...everyone got on here saying Beech had no chance against Mitchell. This year yall are saying Hendersonville has no chance. I say this District 9 is toughest 5A district in state (6a district is smyrna riverdale blackman and them). I hope hendersonville keeps the golden ball in the region just to prove my point. Razzle knows what he's talkin about. If you think Hendersonville is just gonna bend over and take it then your obviously not thinking clearly. Ridgeway is a very talented team with 2 great backs from watching some tape from last week. Hendersonville will have to stop the run in order to win. They are good at it too. It makes me laugh how some of yall say Hendersonville has no chance. Yall dont even know..

#34 Whit Gray is a mean hard hitting LB, Hard nosed back and will run over your ridgeway players friday night. Not only him but Joe and the rest of our guys are gonna bring it to them and knock em down hard. You will remember the night the CommanDO's come down to memphis and shut you up. Actually i would like to change my mind. I HOPE Hendersonville gets to play Ridgeway next week... if we beat NE that is...

I have done some lookin at Ridgeway and they have NO kicking game AT ALL. alot of extra points end up getting blocked or missed. they will most always go for it on 4th downs. They do have a good QB and 2 good TBs but when you consider a deep kickoff to the 30 yd line, i like our chances. If ridgeway gets passed NS and HHS knocks off NE we will pick this back up.. until then best of luck

Hendersonville will win but will be beaten by Ridgeway next week. Northeast watchout for Hendersonville to be poking people in the eyes.

Lets not get ahead of ourselves here. Northeast is a good football team. Just because Henry Co beat them doesnt mean this one is given to us. Yeah we got a good band, war team, and whatever. Thats great support and that pumps up the team yea it helps but this is about the football team. They upset Beech 2 weeks ago and last year knocked us out 1st round. We have to be well prepared and focused like we have been the past 2 weeks. My prediction is that Hendersonville will win this game but i'm definately not looking passed NE. Two good football teams, HHS looking for revenge from last season, gonna be another good one

Beech(NE victory 28-14)(HHS victory 16-15)

Henry County(NE loss 24-14)(HHS victory 24-10)

 

NE defeated Hendersonville last year in round one of the playoffs, 27-24 in triple overtime.

Both are fundamentally sound teams. HHS has great senior leadership, a stout line on both sides of the ball, and players with a lot of heart. Plus they have quite possibly the loudest student section that I have ever heard, creating difficult offensive possessions for the opposing team. NE has top notch speed on their side. Other than that, I dont really know much about them. Should be a dog fight at Memorial Stadium. I gotta pull for my Commandos in this one!

Congrats to both Northeast and Hendersonville. Northeast pulled out a nail-biter 6-3 over Clarksville and I heard Clarksville had the ball on the 1 yd line with 3 mins to go in the 4th and got stopped..wow Last years game between these two should fire Hendersonville up. They knocked out the tougher HC, now time to regroup, prepare for NE, and take care of business. They have speed as we already found out last year and how they knocked off Beech this year. Gonna be a good one..

I would actually say that the big "dowg" in the district is the team who wins a district championship. Until someone in this district knocks HC off, no one else will be claiming that title. Thanks for the input, though. Springfield got a weak jump on us on the court, hope things are shaping up well on the hardwood.

Dover IS a nice little town, but outside of Medina (old 79) it is the only place I know of that has given tickets for 3 miles over. As far as the rut, when I leave for work before sunrise my truck lights catch Bucks peeping in peoples windows in the neighborhood. They must really be worked up!!!!

 

All kidding aside this year I have had to come to complete stop on 79 to let Does move across and seen quite a few mangled messes on the highways and side roads.

HC doesn't have many two-way players at all, and I don't think that there's any 2-way starters.

 

Also, we've heard about your D-Line. What about the O-Line?

We got a couple of our big players that play on both sides of the ball but we also have some good depth so they dont wear down. As of the O were averaging 28 points/game what about you guys?
