  1. Best way to find out is to head to the practice field this afternoon to see if Cody is practicing...! :roflol:

I went to practice today, Matthews practiced and will be fine to play friday no problems with anything but i just hope he doesnt get a small scratch on his leg because I dont know if he has the passion to play through that like Jonathan Sites does.

    Gallatin in a close one 17 to 14 or 24 to 14

57, I'm not sure I get your drift on the Jonathan Sites thing.....

If you go to JonathnSites.com he has a picture of his leg with a small cut and Passion above it in big words.

  3. Marked how did they get screwed in the last game, the fumble at the goal line? Or did a ghost ref knock the dropped touchdown away or maybe the ref pushed the back over so he could call a motion penalty.

Just wondering how they got screwed or if they just screwed themselves.

But neither team had their best night that game. We turned the ball over several times on our side of the field and beech couldnt punch it in. I expect both to show up this week and it should be a great one.

  4. 8-) Beat NE 2 td's, and it appears NE is better than Gallatin so I stand by my post! As my grandma would say the proof is in the pudding! Remember this post after the game! :excl: HC 35 GWAVE 12

Well you were close, you must predict scores often. one thing you were right about tho was that it was a laugher we are all laughing at you.

The rest of the Henry Co fans great game and amazing atmosphere.

  5. Beech is not bad themselves they won the 6A-5A District (beating the Golden Bears) and beat Clarksville pretty handily (which beat the “mighty Henry Co”) Just saying that they played in the best 5A district in state and came out on top. Good Luck to both Sumner County Teams.

    Beech-35 Gallatin/Henry Co -14

I hate to have to comment on this but i will whoever wins tommorow Gallatin or Henry County there is no way Beech scores 35 on either of them , especially since Gallatin shut them out just a few weeks ago.

  6. Here's a dumb question that I should know the answer to. Does the higher seeded team always get the home game? If this is the case, how will they determine home field when they get to the semi's?

I always thought the higher seed got homefield but ive heard that in the 3rd rd the team on the top of the bracket is the host. So if an 8 seed plays a 2 seed the 8 seed would be home, sounds crazy but thats what ive heard and im not positive so dont take my word for it.

  7. :D The soft offensive/defensive lines of Gallatin is again why I'm predicting another laugher. :thumb: HC's line will have little trouble with the ripples. Actually, with the reclassification of football, HC will show they are the class of the new division. We are the largest school and none of the smaller schools will pose a serious threat! HC has always had a pretty solid FB program, but when we dropped to class 4 a few years back our team started to show their abilities. If, we were in class 6, well.... but we're not and we are the biggest and best team in class 5!!! GW will simply be the next to go home after being manhandled by the Pats! :?

I will have to say Pats line play has picked it up alot in the last 3-4 games. With Gallatin 8-3 with 3 losses coming to pretty good teams I would say their line play is not to bad. To say soft IMO is a walk on the wild side, but there again you have been known to step out on that ledge, JYD!!

    GO PATS !!!!!!!!!!!

JYD does step out on the ledge and HE WILL BE CORRECT AGAIN! The Big Red WILL NOT be denied!!!

I noticed one of Gallatin's losses was a 31-0 Blowout to Hendersonville. Hendersonville just lost to Northeast. I predict another Big Red Victory. HC 35 Gallatin 7

If you want to use these games to try and make a point about who is going to win i will make my own point. Gallatin destroyed Pope John Paul who beat Clarksville who beat Henry County. Gallatin also beat Beech who beat Clarksville who beat Henry County. So that would make it seem like Gallatin would win in a blowout. But to assume the outcome of a game this way is as stupid as it gets. Both teams will come to play and it will be a low scoring fight till the final whistle.

  8. I dont see anybody scoring more than 20 but ive been wrong before. JYD have you ever even watched a football game. I think this will be a close one and if Gallatin comes to play can take it with our defense, our offense is good only if our oline shows up and i think the only time they have really shown up was late in the 4th Qt against brentwood that gave us the lead before they scored late to win. Cant wait to travel down to paris, im not used to a second round game.

  9. it is a sport. We Practice frm 345-8 mon-wed and thurs frk 5-untill. We have to do push ups. we have to run around the track. We pratice more then the football time.

O My goodness not laps around the track and pushups. Thats cruel, Im glad i only spent 3hrs a day all summer in the wieght room and 5hrs a day bashing my head in for 5 months straight, i had it easy. Please dont compare band to football, I understand it is rough I know you practice hard. But rarely does a band do more than a football team. It is not a sport it is a hobby, a competion, a art but not a sport. This may be a low blow but when do people normally go to the restrooms and concessions, Halftime. when the players arnt on the field

  10. I will say that this will be a tough game for the Green Wave! Henry County is on a mission, and it showed on Friday against the Jackets. Those Patriots were hitting like crazy. I still think if the fumble for a TD, bobbled punt on the 2 yard line, and the strange muff punt rule the game would have been 28 to 14. However, that is in the past, and give Henry County all the credit in the world. That is a very good football team.

Can someone tell me what the rule is against a muff punt being returned? I recall three games that the Jackets muffed punts and teams returned the ball in those games without the ball being called dead at contact. The Jackets lost muff punts returned against Clarksville High, Greenbrier, and Northwest. The officials did not call those games dead, but in the game Friday 1 punt hit a Patriot in the back and was returned for a TD and the other hit a Patriot in the chest and it was also returned for a TD. Why did those two plays not count? Just wondering!

The returner has to have possesion and fumble to return it. If the ball just touches the return team player it can't be advanced, like an onside kick. The same thing happend to Gallatin a few yrs back we played hville and returned a muffed punt for a TD and it was ruled dead from where we recovered it.

  11. Do you honestly believe that me telling stats and strengths of Henry County will give Gallatin an edge? Coaches know this. This is the playoffs. No frills anymore - Over 2 months of football have been played. All of the secrets and strengths and weaknesses are out of the bag. Gallatin has film of HC, just as HC has film of the Green Wave. Both teams have experience coaches who know better than to get scouting reports off of a website given by non-coaches. What I say will have no bearing on the outcome of the game.

Do I believe you telling stats and strengths of HC will give Gallatin an edge? YYYESSS I DO!!!! Do you see ANY other playoff team offering game stats, team stats, starting lineups, or injury reports on their threads?..NO!! I didn't say anything on earlier posts because I thot that a Patriot fan and poster would have more sense...furthermore...the novel you wrote in regards to our injured receiver was more than just "a little over the top"!! It's obvious that you have some good intel....and that's fine....what's not fine is the fact that you are reporting it on Coacht for the entire world to view! Let me ask you REDSWARM....would anyone at Springfield known that we had a young man enter the hospital Thursday night of last week had YOU not reported on Coacht?? Can you not tell that GWAVE1 is just bating you to add more of your info? It is true that we have film on Gallatin and they have film on us...this is true because the coaches actually meet and trade it out each Saturday morning! Then, coaches routinely call around to other coaching friends to see if they can obtain more film other than the usual 2 game films that are traded! Common sense tells you, the team with the most film and scouting reports on the other, tends to have an advantage.....TRUST ME when I say that COACHES searching the posts can tell the difference on here between a casual fan and an informed BLABBER MOUTH!! Just PLEASE cool it until FRIDAY!!! Go BIG RED![/quote

I will go up to the high school tommorow chat with the coaches look at the scouting reports and i would probly know 98% of what anybody could tell me on here. I have no problem tellin any stats or any injuries from Gallatins side because were just a bunch of fans that get on here and talk about football. I would be willing to bet that coaches dont find much if anything on this website they dont already know about the opponent for that week.

  12. We all know that this will be the case in two weeks, so let's go ahead and get the talk going.

No way Beech plays as bad as they did the first time, Gallatin had better unleash the guns and put up some points.

    Beech 24

    Gallatin 17

Hey Buccaneer IDIOT....Do you really think you'll have a home game in two weeks? Have you seen Northeast on film? Have you seen the Patriots play this year? You are an ABSOLUTE FOOL! Coacht...STOP THIS POST IMMEDIATELY!!!

Actually he is a Mt. Juliet idiot. Who has to jump ship after week one. Yall go ahead and over look NE were gonna focus on a very talented Henry county team.

  13. What sort of team is Henry Co.? What offense? Star players? Etc. Gallatin is, and always has been, a run first. You will see a couple of different offensive sets, but mainly the spread. The wave has fast backs and a strong run D (I.E. Northwest Wiley held to 55 yards).

I already am pumped for this game. Advisor, expect a large Gallatin crowd. It was standing room only at Northwest :roflolk:

Henry Co. on offense has a true playmaker at QB, with a bruising runningback. The WR's are physical and can get behind the secondary in a heartbeat. The line's big - moreso tall than round, but big nonetheless. They'll go from the spread for the most part, but have become fond of lining up in the I when need be.

On defense they're very strong up the middle - A huge D line. Fast backers, an abosolute ballhawk at MLB in #56. The secondary is very capitalizing. You can get some yards through the air, but one mistake can change everything.

How's the kicker from Gallatin? How's strong is his leg?

Thanks for the info sounds like it will be a knockout of a Defensive Strugle. our kicker had an off night last night. But 9 out of 10 times he will put it through the up rights on kickoffs, he hit a 55 yd field goal earlier in the season, he tried a 51yd last night that would have been good from 60 it was just a little wide right.

  14. Congrats to Oakland and good luck in the weeks to come to Mt. Julliet i hate it for you guys i know all to well about having a great season and losing in the first rd. I know some of you and your some great guys good luck in your college careers.

Mjpride its high school football life will go on so take your L and go home.

  15. Roll em Green Wave!

This is a sign of class, thank you trullyblessed yall were great host and it was a great atmosphere. to be honest if i were a NW fan i would be complaining about a crap inaverdant (sp) whistle on a great fake by your QB, that could have been a game changing play. Cant wait for a big game at henry county next friday.
