I think this is what Lewis Co. needed 30 years ago. I am going to start going back to Lewis Co. and watch games now with coach Rang there. Rang is a very good coach and now with a good program that is capable of winning Championships.

You will miss Coach Sharp and it won't be long.

Look, I have been a defender of Coach Sharp against this nonsense from the beginning, but you're stretching the narrative in the other direction to say that he's done "more with less...". LC has a solid program, a great tradition, community support, and a track record that says that he deserves better than to be constantly slandered by some nameless, faceless coward on social media. What he hasn't done is win a game that he shouldn't win, in a "win or go home" situation, or take them farther in the playoffs  than anyone expected. There are a select few programs statewide who can claim to be as consistently good for decades as LC, and that alone is special... Sharp gets the kids out to play, instills good sportsmanship and work ethic, teaches the game, and wins games because he does the aforementioned things well. His program and kids have never caused anyone to question their ethics or morals, the facilities are legendary good, even the fans are great, and Sharp deserves credit for most of that. If that's not good enough for high school football fans, then yes he should be fired, but everyone had better cross their fingers that the next guy can deliver as much... just don't get excited and counter their garbage with untruths... it isn't necessary.

I will take Bobby Sharp to coach any day. He put Lewis County back on the map. When I said he done more with less I meant he hasn't had coached a team full of guys going to next level playing football. In Lewis Co Football is king not basketball or baseball

  3. Sharp has done more with less than any coach in the state! Lewis Co lost to a good team that they barely beat regular season. Just one turn over ,bone head play  or penalty could change a game like this game.  This happens all the time every where  on every level.

A program that has those records every year and have never been to a state championship game there is a problem somewhere in the program. If you can not bring home a gold ball with them regular season records ever, there is something wrong in the program.

I wished my Perry Co Vikings could win 8 every year . We would take 8-2 here in PC and go home 2nd round maybe 3 Rd every now then. Where do we get a coach like that ? Sign us up

  5. If they were to play and stud QB or RB gets hurt. In a game that doesn't matter every body would turn on coach. I wouldn't play if I was ether team get ready for playoffs. Get healthy and get prepared ...then we think about a long lay off dead period. Who knows the right call ?

You know Lewis Co man. Don’t get too hyped. They are back where they used to be. Regular season Champions so far. They are known for going 10-0, 9-1 in regular season, then a quick exit in the playoffs. Gonna have to see how they finish.

Everybody can't win a gold ball every year like your Waverly Tigers. I guess they will have to build a new trophy case to hold all their State Championship trophies

Man that sounds like a bunch of BULL! I hate to hear that and I don’t see how they did the ruling like that just because a house wasn’t sold in time!?! Crazy

The father moved here where his brother and family lived but the mother had a job in Paris still after the move. I think she stayed in their house during the week when she was working. Then on week ends stay in PC with husband and kids.  Nobody here in the PC coaches or players knew any of that or would think that mattered. One kid was a 10th and other 12th grade brothers both were lineman and pretty solid. The team went to final 4 the year before that and looked charged up for Tucker's senior season. We scrimmaged a top rate contender preseason and ran it all over them. That's when folks started asking and looking into how we got 4 new players and 3 starters.

Tucker was one of the best high school qbs I've ever seen play around here

Tucker was also one of the best defensive players I think he led the state in tackles as a sophomore. Nobody ever mentions #18 wr/rb Mercer fastest kid on the field every game he ever played. Only run a 4.6 but with the ball and somebody after him he could really kick in afterburners. Never ever caught from behind scored prolly 50 or 60 TDs in high school. He got close to 2 or 3 state records. Tucker owns 3 state records I think. If some crazy TSSAA ruling hadn't disqualified 2 of our players in 11-12 we would have went deeper.
