  1. Lawrence County isn't complaining. Their 3 loses are from two teams who just so happen to be in the other 1st round bracket of their region; Blackman and Shelbyville. I'd recommend Lawrence County have a little class and leave the painted T shirts at home. Of Shelbyville's 12 State Championships, not one time have I ever seen an Eaglette wearing taunting painted T shirts because they won the District regular season. Anyway, congratulations LC on a great year.

Well, I believe you need to have a little class and keep your mouth shut. I believe those girls can wear whatever they want, and you can just get used to it.

  2. Ha. We over here in 7AAA know whats happening here and know how good Jordyn is. Its called sandbagging. It happens every year and I've wondered when Coacht is going to get on here and whine and cry about how small everyone is in 8AAA. We've watched LC and all of their press clippings all year and its obvious a leader is needed to carry the load but we also know there are others, some freshman. So d0n't waste your time and posting. Whoever matches up with LC and their true superstar knows their hands are full and will have to be ready.

Don't you dare talk about CoachT.

  3. I have no part of shelbyville or anything, but I think that is just plain rude. Who just says that a person doesn't deserve their scholarship. I respect anyone who can play college ball, because it is a lot of work. You are not a college coach, and you need to think about who you are saying things about. This is a girl in high school. As if she doesn't have enough crap to worry about. Get off her case!

  4. here are the facts. LCHS wanted to play Loretto and Loretto did not. This game has been played for many years. It is rediculus to do away with this rivalry game. It was fun for teams, students, and fans. Everyone gets there tail kicked every now and then. Get over it. There are many reasons why this game should be played. LCHS players and fans are very disappointed.

And how can the focus be on Lawrence County recruiting. The Gilbert sisters were not going to Giles County reguardless which in my opinion is a very wise decision. How would they go from Giles County to Shelbyville? We all know how that happened. It would make much more sense to go to Lawrence County. Maybe it just took em some time to figure that out. I think its funny how Shelbyville finally didn't get what they wanted. It's time for them to get a dose of their own medicine. Lawrence County is a great program and is very fortunate to have both of them. And don't you think if Lawrence County recruited them they would have gone there to begin with? Its clear to me what happened.

  5. Here is what I know about the situation.

    1. S'town and LCHS have not played since an incident at S'town several years ago between Coach McBee and Mickey Dunn. Coach McBee called out some LCHS fans for throwing ice on the floor and Mr Dunn decided that he would side with the students / fans that were throwing the ice and there was a heated exchange between the two.

    2. The teams did play in the 21st district reunion tournament held at LCHS a few years back. The schedule worked out where SHS played two games in one day. Of course LCHS just happened to be the opponent for the second game.

    3. Mickey Dunn told his coaches that as long as he was in charge that LCHS would not play SHS. Before you dispute, ask some of your former boys coaches.

    4. Coach Clark becomes head coach and he calls SHS wanting to schedule games. SHS response was sure lets sign a 10 year contract to play a home and home. LCHS refused - LCHS had rather pick and choose when they play. SHS stance is that if we can't play every year we will not play at all- LCHS seems to only want to play when they feel they have the better team returning and SHS has been hit hard by graduation. Just play every year and let the chips fall where they may!

    5. Richland Christmas Classic - Why would we allow someone else to get the huge gate if SHS and LCHS can't work the issue out to play home and home?

    6. As for the comment about being afraid of the competition - SHS plays bigger schools every year, win some lose some. See last seasons Christmas Tourny at Father Ryan - Stratford, Blackman, Mt Juliet all AAA schools. SHS plays Lewis Co every year, Spring Hill every year, Loretto every year when they were AA, Lincoln Co, David Lipscomb to name a few from the last couple of seasons.

    7. If LCHS really wants to play - play every year stop trying to dictate scheduling to their advantage.

Dispute, discuss all you want - LCHS is the reason there is not a home and home with SHS. As an SHS fan, i used to want the teams to play. I could care less anymore.

Our sucess on the court speaks for itself!

Actually it was Summertown who wanted to pick and choose what years to play.

  6. As I understand it, it is Loretto and Summertown, who have refused to schedule LCHS. That really makes no sense as LCHS is the only program that really has anything to lose. If they lose it is a big deal because they were beaten by a smaller school and if they win, so what, they were supposed to. Loretto and Summertown have no problem scheduling LCHS in volleyball, softball, or baseball where they are competitive, and in some cases, dominating. It is obvious, then, that the reason they refuse to schedule LCHS in basketball is the level of competition.
