I predict that CD will be no push over this game. They tend to play harder then normal when they come visit us. I believe North will overcome and conquer in this game though.
I agree Gunner I do think you guys will take the win when it's all said and done. Them having JC on the ropes couple weeks back still comes back to my mind some.

Takeaway's was the success for TN last night if they don't force the turnovers then their beat by 21 or more. The Sec will not be that kind to them.
-
Picking the Dogs in this one, 2004 they got beat by South Greene like 47-0 I think ,and then comes 2005 and well we all know what has happened since then.
-
I may be a little biased, but I think the dogs take this on top Warrior Hill..

If we play as bad as we did last week, they'll win a close one.. we ready
I do not expect a repeat of last week at all..

Well, Anybody have any thoughts? Post em if ya got em.
North by a bunch, I would love to see Cosby back to filling their stands and a hostile environment the way it use to be I was almost afraid to go down there watch a game, afraid I wasn't going to make it out alive. When Hampton went down there in 2006 comes to mind I think ,man that was a game.

Did anybody else notice that Johnson County's entire offensive line did not play on defense? That's the kind of depth you don't usually see for midsize schools. The more I think about it , it was an impressive loss for Hampton. They basically just got wore down by a deeper team. Which is not something HV can do to them
Your very much correct Warrior. The dogs line will still have their hands full this week. You all have a more veteran line than the dogs. I do think that will be the main focus during practice this week for the young pups and they will be up for the challenge. This one will be another good one not as much hype as last year but still could be a great game.

We'll be fine..
sometimes things like this is what young men need.
Season is still young they are going to be just fine, Hope every stays injury free though until then,no disrespect at all but those backs and qb took some licks last night they are tough as nails.

As of right now, I could not even begin to tell you who I think will dominate in region 1 2A this year. Not after tonight anyways.
your right gunner any given night one of three maybe four could win.

The defense looked really good in the Chuckey doak scrimmage and the Volunteer win was a good performance on both sides of the ball I thought.
Graduating that many from last years team, You all are fielding a pretty stout and solid team from what I have see thus far.

This may not be the typical JC/Hampton game we are a custom to seeing. I think it will be close, there could be a lot of points put up by both teams.

Unaka was the more talented team imo, just way too many mistakes. They will be okay though if they keep working hard. Hopefully those kids realize it's going to be a marathon and not a sprint. They need to be the ones who change the culture.
I talked to the coach briefly and is very optimistic, Man that 55 is a beast and so is that end I think 83 was his number someone said he was just sophomore and 55 junior.

Landers easy, they ran the most basic offense you can imagine last week. If you can defend an off tackle hand off. You're good to go.
Agree with Creeker I actually went down to watch that one cause I thought the rangers had a chance to win. North Greene is down this year in numbers it looked to me. I thought Unaka had the better team just had those bad snaps early take that away and it would have been a different outcome.

Johnson Co brings a load of athletes and a top tier QB, in Arnold, to JC Campbell stadium.
Should be in for a good one!
Lets GOOOO.
Both coming off huge wins I like the dogs to pull away in second half. The Arnold kid def has an arm but his speed is pretty impressive as well.

Yep, I,ve saw SN and SG and and both will be a challenge. I;ve not seen HV but i heard they looked pretty good against Chuckey Doak.Said the defense was very solid again.
HV's defense did look pretty stout. Their strength is their o line and d line.

What are everyone's thoughts on how this region will shake out? Hampton has to be the favorite, doesn't it?
I do think Hampton is favorite if all stays healthy, Having four straight road games against quality opponents will tell the tell, there is a off week in between. The Hampton/North game may have more emphasis on region this year than last couple.

I think they may actually become a good football team in the next few years, seem to have a good head coach and headed in the right direction,it was the first time that I can remember seeing a ranger football team practicing during the spring and summer.Good luck to them
I think they have scrimmaged some rather large teams as well traveling to Tellico Plains playing the bears as well as Wartburg.

I did see some skill players in a 7 on 7 they played, I was real impressed with their quarterback. I think they will be better.

To all my Hampton friends (if we're still friends) see you soon! Miss chattin' it up you all!
Friends until September 1st.. lol.. This date is mark on ALOT of calendars I'm sure..
-
I believe that 2007 Hampton team was the best one they've ever had in their history. The 2015 team was pretty good as well, but this 2017 team won't be like either of those.
96 squad was pretty darn good too, being close to these squads would be a pretty tall order I agree, but it would be nice to have either of the three this year in the east.
-
They replaced alot of kids and they really wasn,t that good. Had a few good looking linemen but if you are as good as the past couple of years,You won;t have much trouble with um. i,d say Boone was a good challenge.
How did the dog's look I know they were short handed a little.

It was a young man from Unaka, He hyperextended his neck and back, MRI looks promising for full recovery in 6 weeks. It was very scary hit.
