The coaches basically told his kids you are a bunch of losers you can't beat Blackman so let's lose this game so that we can get a couple more in before we have to play Blackman and then lose, you bunch of losers. Who wins this game? Looks like evenly matched teams, might be the best game to watch Wednesday night.

My point was that you don't win 47 games in a row, winning most by 20+, and the highest anyone has scored on Elizabethton this year is just 42 points, without some great players. Kayla Marosites does what it takes to win ball games. A total team player and makes those around her better. Sarah Robinson and Kelci Marosites are as good as any player in the state, and could be picked as Miss Basketball, but all three being on the same team makes for some great games.

I have not heard of any offers to anyone yet I think they are more focused on other things right now. Sarah Robinson's father coaches basketball at Milligan College so she has an inside track there. The twins will probably be able to name any school they want to go to, but they have a couple of more gold balls to win before they have to worry about that.

Kayla Marosites is no doubt one of the best players in AA. She led her team last year to the gold ball as a sophomore, and was AA MVP last year in the state tournament, she scored 30 points in her first game ever in Murfreesboro as a freshman. The team she leads has not lost in over 45 games playing great schools in SC, GA, AL, and TN. Had over 1000 points before Christmas her Junior year. This was done on a team full of stars beating most every team they played by 20 to 30 points. Coming out after the half a lot of games. It's hard for one person to stand out with 3 deep in talent that Elizabethton has. Next year you should see her twin sister beside her. Great job this year Cyclones. Let's finish!

Elizabethton's 5'10" junior wing Kayla Marosites should be a finalist. She plays on an undefeated team that is the defending AA state champion. The team is 10 deep with quality players and Kayla still stands out. She is averaging 19 points, 7 rebounds, 3.4 steals, is 48-113 on three point shots for 42.5%, she shoots 84% at the free throw line, and blocks a lot of shots. I have watched nearly every game of her career including games at the state tournament where she was a dominant force as a freshmen and sophomore. Kayla can go either right or left to the rim, can create her own shot, sets up her teammates with assists, and can knock down three balls from well beyond the arc. She is also a relentless defender that creates havoc with steals, deflections, and athletic blocked shots. Her twin sister Kelci is outstanding as well and it is a joy to watch these two play. Unfortunately for the rest of AA, these two are just juniors and will come back for another year. Go Cyclones!

Id have to agree, undefeated regular season beating some of the best teams in SC Ga AL and 3A teams in TN. Haven't lost in over 40 games.

Hoover had just beat the defending champion a 4A school, Mt. Tabor, out of Winston Salem, NC 76-33 the night before.

Elizabethton just beat the two-time defending South Carolina state champions Bishop England 69 To 26. They are going to be tough to stop this year.

They led every team they played in the tournament by 20 points last year. I'd put them up against any team in Tennessee

Oh yes, how dare we coment on science hill thread about teams playing in their own tournament. but then again they just might have been mad because they didn't win a game in their own tournament.

Elizabethton 9-0 won 70-49 Cumberland Co 8-2 looked like a good team. undisciplined though they got frustrated they havent seen a team that press like Elizabethton did or break a press. They had to foul a lot. All starters had 4 by the end. Elizabethton blocked more shots to count. Held their best player to 8, she makes 24 or more a game. How they can not rank Elizabethton #1 in the state is beyond me.

Science Hill loses to Cumberland County 68-63. We were not expecting that. They have a good team 8-1. Elizabethton will have their hands full without Coach Dugger for another game. We will see what shape they are in and how the press is this year.

Fulton looks to be a little down so far this year already losing 2 games, one of them to DB. DB lost convincingly to Science Hill who Elizabethton beat by 15 points. Did the team break up from last year. I was looking forward to a rematch.

You can say what you want about playing good teams, SH was the only team in TN to beat Elizabethton, there was no one else in TN to play. They beat the greatest team ever Grainger County who was ranked number one all year by over twenty points and lead every team at State by 20. The 4A SC team Dorman that beat them by 2, were SC state runnerups and they beat SE Raliegh a 4A NC final 4 team. Even the Elizabethton JV team handled Science Hill very easy so I guess we can look forward to them playing for a while.

BAma enjoy your AA crown. Don't gloat... Bad form. If Betsy doesn't beat SH next year it would be a total let down for them. They are in the way up and SH will have fell off the talent cliff from where they have been. Betsy didn't want to play when they both were good so it's no surprise they will play now that SH is not going to be as good as they have been. Sporty... SH would have given Blackman a good game. They had the size of Mt Juliet but better guard play. I do not know if they would have won but it would have been a really good game. Too bad one man can ruin the goals for a bunch girls who worked hard all season.

EHS and Science Hill did play early in the season last year and Science Hill won 60-37 but before that the last time EHS played Science Hill was in 08 and Elizabethton won that game 51-36 so who did not want to play who?
