This UC team is good, but if you think they could hang with the 97 or 2000 2a state runner up teams or beat the '09 team, i have to disagree. I've played with these boys and I was on the '09 team and 2009 was a completely different animal in 1a. These guys are good, but DO NOT get so caught up in our success that you think they're invincible. We have the talent, but if these boys even think about thinking that we have it in the bag, then we'll lose. The mentality is what wins uc games, not our talent, but going in knowing we're there to punch a time clock and go to work.

The scrimmage final score (varsity, not second string or goal line practice at the end) was 6 to 4 with uc winning

i dont know if you got this from the book or not but if so murphy does top teams in alphabetical order (which these are) not by real rankings

How long did they actually scrimmage before it all hit the fan ??....I take it UC didn't score ??...I saw where WC did score at least one TD...
uc stalled twice inside wc redzone but also had 2 interceptions but didnt stop drive because they both get 10 plays for sure

UC has one problem an thats experience. Strength and speed weellll its amazin what a UC offseason has done to correct that. I personally believe experience aint gonna be a problem either. Thats where good tough scrimmages come in. Plus while only 2 freshman got consistent time, most who will be playin as sophmores got a good amount against varsity players.
Is Keylon Hyde going to take the place of Nicks or Price ??...Who is going to take over for Jacob Worley ??...Are they going to move Maddox to the backfield or keep him on the line ??...Who is going to take the place of all-state center Will Arnold ??...That loss in itself is huge in the veer/mid-line option offense ..Who is going to step up and take the place of Rance Barnes, Zack Cavness, Stevie Gossett, Antuwan Powell, Dominic Watson on the O-Line, D-Line and LB'er positions...That's a whole lot of game experience, big game experience to replace....The Tornadoes are not afforded any cupcakes to start the season either...Trigg County will be no joke on their home field...Don't kid yourself about the difficulty UC will face playing in Kentucky...Peabody and Huntingdon follow on the road..Obion Central will be no push-over and Trinity Christian will bring in Alabama-verbal Jabriel Washington...I'm sure every Tornado fan remembers what he did last year in Jackson against UC..UC also has to go play at Humboldt and every indication points to them being much improved over last season...Add to that the fact UC is defending 1A State Champion..The Tornadoes will have a huge bulls-eye on their back this season......
during spring practice keylon got most of the time at fullback ( with trey maddox and kelly scales gettin occasional carries i believe) as for others i think its still a proving ground

But the thing is with Gant is that he is scared. Drake Parker jacked a homerun the second pitch of the game. Then, his nexted at bat he beaned him intentionally. What is he, scared? Come on..
If you think Gant is scared, you just dont know him. Trust me! Look, I am an Adamsville parent. I dislike Riverside because they have owned us. Here is the question to ask yourself....What did Drake Parker and the whole team do their 2nd and 3rd at bats? I was there. I already know the answer.

15-3 did you say Greenfield beat Union City. Nah, that cant be right. Some of Union Citys arragant fans said Greenfield would never beat Union City in anything. That is great. It sounds like Greenfield killed Union City. 15-3 wow.
Last year Greenfield actually beat Union City in more sports than Union City beat Greenfield. Way to go Greenfield. The size of the school doesnt matter, its the size of the heart.

Folks, as any of us that have played football are aware, it was my experience that if a ref noticed you had your mouth piece out he would say, "son put your mouth piece in your mouth."...Nobody would throw a penalty like that at that juncture of a game...I've actually never seen it flagged...
Heck, the kid thought he was kicking an extra point for heaven's sake....
no disrespect standard but if you watch his interview he said "it was LIKE kicking a xtra point it was 22 yard field goal" again no disrespect im just tired of people sayin he didnt know what he was doin

for all of our defense haters we had four shutouts four games with our opponent scoring just 7 and our d averaged 11.5 a game

On offense you will have to catch us. On defense, we may not knock you on your back, but I guarantee you we will hit you from multiple directions often and quickly. It's not a matter of knocking your helmet off every time, but a matter of getting hit by multiple Pirates at the same time. Just when you think you see daylight..... lights out!

Bet they do not have a man bigger than that 6 foot 330 pound monster from Boyd...man he was big....lets talk some football instead of trash talking for once....Does Union city have alot of depth?? How many state games have they played in??? Who are the two best players on defense?? Any kick/punt returners that can fly???
