  1. I heard this morning that Cody Robinson received the Sonny Falcone Iron Duke Award (description of the award below) at Duke's annual football banquet. Congrats to Cody, always great to see TN kids doing well!

    This is from Goduke.com

"The Sonny Falcone Iron Duke Award is presented annually to one offensive player, one defensive player and one player in the developmental program for their year-round commitment to strength training and conditioning. These players best exemplify the strength staff's expectations with their daily effort, commitment, pride, toughness, and discipline. The 2011 recipients were Cockrell, a redshirt sophomore cornerback from Waxhaw, N.C., Deaver, a redshirt freshman tight end from Charlotte, N.C., and Robinson, a freshman from McMinnville, Tenn."

  2. He hurt his shoulder I think. He was about the only senior besides Sangi that showed any senior leadership. The senior class was weak as a whole.

I do not know the extent of his injuries but if what I have heard is true ( I heard after I posted) then his leadership is pretty weak. You dont miss games for minor shoulder injuries or minor injuries period. That was one thing about the core of last years (class of 2011) seniors they were tough as heck.

What do you call leadership? Not a one them including Sangi showed leadership especially the seniors, the closest thing to a leader was probably Mullican..

  3. Are you kidding me? Soddy Daisy spanked Warren County tonight 54 to 14. Maybe the Tullahoma parent that I overheard last week was right and Warren County just needs to shut down its football program. Where do they go from here?

Bear Bryant Could not have won with this years team! But last year with the talent 3 wins was unacceptable. Thrower was played out of position and the coaches did not utilize Cody as they should have IMO. ( this is from an outsiders view. I am not directly related with Warren Co, but I know alot about HS football

  4. Cody is redshirting this year.

That will be a good thing IMO. It will give Cody time to adjust to the college football life. Cutciffe must be working them someone at work today said that Cody had several stitches in his chin from a hit at practice. (The guy telling me this is not always credible though.)

  5. Cody Robinson- Warren County

    OL/DL

Senior year stats 92 tackles 13 for loss. 9.5 sacks and 2 forced fumbled.

On offense he averaged 16 pancakes per game and hasn't allowed a sack in 4 years.

Cody is also committed to Duke. Other offers included

Kentucky, Vandy, Syracuse, MTSU, Tulane, WKU, Memphis, UTC.

+1. Cody's a heck of a player. He has a very bright future!

  6. You are a joke, I agree with several others on the other WC post. You claim to have been on a team with a couple of D1 players and that you watch "you tube" recruiting film. The fact is....you sat on the visitors side because you were scared to sit on the WC side after not recognizing #10 as a player. Who cares why or who you were there to watch. If you watched any of the WC vs. CCHS game you saw a "player" dominate.....that player was #10.

I have said before I base a "player"off of offers. He is a good HS RB but that's it. Who said anything about YouTube.

  7. It's funny, you keep hanging around the WC posts and yet you claim you are not a WC fan. Why in the world would you want to know which player yelled to the sideline?

I was at the game bud and was on the visistors side and I didn't hear or see any gestures.

Oh and by the way I was taking up for you guys so go screw yourself and leave me alone.

  8. I have came to know Cody fairly well durning the recruiting process interviewing him and what not.

I believe his goal is to play in the leauge but he also knows the beating your body takes in this game. I believe Duke was a great choice and fit for Cody. I believe Duke is on the up also.

  9. There are several players who are and have played in the NFL who didn't play for D1 schools. Jerry Rice is the first name that comes to mind. I think he played for Mississippi Valley St or some school like that. I read about a player from Rhea Co that walked on at UT and didn't get a chance and could be the best punter in the nation at MTSU. Recruiting on the college level is a very inexact science. Most DI schools look at size and speed. Nick Reveiz walked on at UT and is now the Vols top linebacker. Its the size of the heart that many schools miss

out on and that kid at Warren Co definitely gives his best every game.

Big deal if he gives his best. Good point thoseguys are good players but in high school they were not. So you can't call a kid a baller or player with no offers who in his last game rushed for an amazing 50 yards.

  10. Ok you played with 3 that went d1---are you from Warren Co. cause now I'm confused. Your comments do not make a lot of sense. You've picked out Northcutt to pick on so mayb your our competition and not a Pioneer fan????

I am not a warren co fan. I follow recruiting and I have saw all the game tapes scouting Robinson.

  11. Just wanted say Northcutt is a player win or lose. He plays hard every play. Hope #40 gets back soon.

He is about as much as a player as # 12 the backup QB. You arnt a player if you have fumbled twice in the last 3 games. If you want to see a REAL RB go watch Devrin Young. Playing hard doesn't make you a player ether.

  12. IMO Cody has carried WC for many years.

You have been smoking some bad weed!!! Cody is a beast but he is only a piece of the puzzle that make this class winners. If you look at the stats last year he was about middle of the pack in tackles. Thrower, Northcutt, Rhea are players that need to be talked about this year. They are the ones that never come off the field and are the backbone of this team. Cody will make a great OL in college whichever school is lucky enough to get him although I hope to see a few more players getting talked about to play at the next level to!

Bofore you start bashing me thos is JMO. You don't just talk about players for no reason. How many offers do they have or even looks for that matter? The proof Is in the pudding. I am I not the smartest guy being only a college student however a DLineman will not lead a team in tackles because if he starts to you double and triple team them. How many times have you saw a LB double teamed? Cody leads that team and a lot of this season depends on him and the OL. Dustin is a great kid. I don't know much about Northcutt. Thrower should worry more about his ethics then his football IMO.
